Gretchen Wilson made headlines as a country star when her debut single “Redneck Woman” reached the top of the country singles chart. She was the first country artist to do that in years, and her single was the quickest to reach No. 1 in decades. Wilson’s country twang, sassy attitude and deep, soulful vocals draw fans to her concerts and tours, and the honesty in songs like “Redneck Woman” are her ticket to superstardom. Wilson’s most recent release, on her own record label (Redneck), is Christmas in My Heart – the last of three released in 2013, which include Right on Time and Under the Covers as the first two.
Wilson had a rough upbringing in rural Illinois, but she credits her girlhood with instilling in her the tough and strong attitude that makes her so popular with fans. At the age of 15, Wilson was discovered singing in bars and joined her first band, Sam-A-Lama. While “Redneck Woman” shot to the top of the charts and also earned her a 2004 Grammy Award, Wilson has released other successful tunes, like 2004’s “Here for the Party,” which reached the No. 3 spot on the Country Singles chart and the No. 39 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and 2005’s “Homewrecker,” which reached No. 2 on the Country Singles chart and No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wilson has come into her own as the head of her own label, and with the three new records she put out in 2013, she has proven that she remains a strong, powerful presence in the country music industry.

Gretchen Wilson absolutely rocked the place. Just loved the songs from the new album. Only downside, didn't play slow so not all of her old stuff but still danced my feet off
Both Josh Turner and Gretchen Wilson put on a fantastic show. Gretchen is a great performer, interacts with the crowd. Lots of enthusiasm, had the crowd on their feet several times. Awesome show!!
We really enjoyed the show. Josh Turner opened for Gretchen and he was awesome. They both sounded amazing! The amphitheatre at the casino is really a great set up. I would definitely go there to see another show.
Josh Tuner was great, wish he would have played longer, was really great sound, love his voice. Gretchen was incredible!!!!! best concert I've seen in 10 years. Would go again and again to see Gretchen Wilson.
Gretchen Wilson was better than I expected. Although I didn't really care for the rock and roll songs at the end. I think it would've been better if she'd performed more of her own songs. I liked that she started the show with Here for the Party.
I have seen Gretchen a couple of times now and this really was a great concert. She put on a hell of a performance and Josh was amazing too... was a little chilly start but once the music started I think that we were all sweating by the time it was over!! Thanks for another great appearance.... the company I had was over the top as well!!
She has energy and seems to be such a down to earch person. She gets into her songs and that's the best part of it!! My girlfriend and I had such a great time. We danced the to the entire concert!!! She is truely an amazing person and she lets people know what she is up too and I love that she is proud of getting her G.E.D. and that she is not afraid to mention it at a concert and let all her fans know.. What an amazing person for doing this and possibly a role model for young people that may be in the same situation..
I was expecting a decent show but she is dynomite! Her voice is phenomonal and her band is spectacular. She seems to really be in touch with us average Americans and what we are looking for in entertainment. Being a long time hard rocker.... the rock portion of the show was superb!! Cant wait to see her again!
Gretchen's concert is the best concert I have ever been too. It was so great and she is an amazing singer and very welcoming to her fans. I love how she made a tribute out to the troops and military and stuff like that it was cool especially since it relates to me since I have a best friend thats in the national gaurd (who was there also) and her brother is also (he is on leave from iraq) and then my uncles are involved one in national gaurd (also on leave form iraq) and the other in the army, so her doin that really touched me it was awesome.

We went to this concert mainly to see Josh Turner and we were not disappointed.
Both Josh Turner and Gretchen Wilson put on a rockin' show!! We had a wonderful time dancing and singing along...their tributes to the USA - ROCKED! If you get a chance to see either of them in concert - do it! You will have a great time! This concert was outside in an amphitheater and they both sounded awesome! Thanks Gretchen and Josh - you are welcome back to MN anytime. God Bless You and your bands!!
She did a wonderful mix of her well known songs, new songs coming out soon and some great classic rock. Her rendition of Barracuda by Heart and Hot Blooded by Foreigner were fantastic!
Gretchen: Excellent performer! Kept it going on a consistent basis start to finish with great enthusiasm! Voice was just as strong at the end as it was in the beginning! Super show!! Josh Turner: Also a great performer! Song choices were good - very nice voice! His exchange with the audience was excellent! And, of course, the musicians from both bands were superb!! We thoroughly enjoyed the entire show. The only thing we didn't like was the fact that we were on a flat surface where it was very difficult to see!!!
Gretchen had a great variety of music, there was something for everyone. It was great the Josh Turner was with her, they have different music styles, but a great complement to each other.
Gretchen Wilson is an amazing perfomer!! Full energy performance, awesome band and awesome vocals!! Awesome music!!
Josh Turner Is the light of my life and his voice made me smile the whole time I watched him. Thank goodness for the megatrons so I could get a great view. We had seats really close to the back but I thougt they were great and we could see the stage which I thought would be impossible. I had to run up close to the stage to watch Gretchen Wilson. The staff was amazing and didnt rush me back to my seat right away. I was glad when they let everyone stand right below the stage I could see that Gretchen was having a great time and gave an amazing performance. She is one of the best performers I have ever seen live and her voice is just carries through the entire arena. Again the staff made it easy to stand where ever I needed to have a great time and as close as I wanted.
Josh was Josh, what can I say. The show was mild, not a lot going on but Josh sounded excellent and looked even better. Gretchen came out screamin' and rocked the whole time. I had never seen her before, had heard one of her last shows was really bad and her heart wasn't in it. Well let me tell ya, she couldn't have more heart than what I saw last night. She was exceptional and I really enjoyed her show.
This was an excellent concert...I would recommend it to anyone.
Gretchen put on one great show, Grand Casino was a great place to view it!!!
