Gretchen Wilson made headlines as a country star when her debut single “Redneck Woman” reached the top of the country singles chart. She was the first country artist to do that in years, and her single was the quickest to reach No. 1 in decades. Wilson’s country twang, sassy attitude and deep, soulful vocals draw fans to her concerts and tours, and the honesty in songs like “Redneck Woman” are her ticket to superstardom. Wilson’s most recent release, on her own record label (Redneck), is Christmas in My Heart – the last of three released in 2013, which include Right on Time and Under the Covers as the first two.
Wilson had a rough upbringing in rural Illinois, but she credits her girlhood with instilling in her the tough and strong attitude that makes her so popular with fans. At the age of 15, Wilson was discovered singing in bars and joined her first band, Sam-A-Lama. While “Redneck Woman” shot to the top of the charts and also earned her a 2004 Grammy Award, Wilson has released other successful tunes, like 2004’s “Here for the Party,” which reached the No. 3 spot on the Country Singles chart and the No. 39 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and 2005’s “Homewrecker,” which reached No. 2 on the Country Singles chart and No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wilson has come into her own as the head of her own label, and with the three new records she put out in 2013, she has proven that she remains a strong, powerful presence in the country music industry.

It was great to see Gretchen again it has been a while. She still can put on a very good show.
Total energy from start to finish. Great concert. Her tribute to our troops past and present was especially inspiring. Only down side is the smoke filled casino you must go through to get to the concert. I will never set a foot inside a casino to gamble as long as they allow smoking. It is gross and very unhealthy.
Enjoyed the entire concert - even if it was a bit loud for my "old lady" ears.
She came out blazing and kept it going through the whole show. She looked amazing and sang perfect. We also got to hear some of the songs on her next CD, I can't wait to pick it up. Way to go, Gretchen, we love you!
Not a country fan but went with my mom to celebrate her birthday. Music was good live and the venue was great. Plus Gretchen did a few cover songs. A very fun evening and my mom loved it so that made it great.
The show it's self was great, Gretchen is HOT, and has a fantastic band. I like the playing of a little clasic rock, but I would rather she have done more of her own music. I am not sure why, but the concert was only 11/2 hours long, and for $65 a ticket I expected a little more music than that. There was a strict rule of no photography and I would have love to of been able to have taken some photos.
Gretchen was totally outstanding!! She is an awesome entertainer and puts on a great show. If I could see her again at The Emerald Queen, I would.
Gretchen Wilson show at Emerald Queen was Lotsa fun. We were in the 4th row. She has fun and has a great band playing with her!. Show was a little short and they have the speekers sitting on the ground in front of the audiance so if your far to the right or left you get blown away. But she did Great with that too cause it still sounded awesome. Last concert there they didn't do so great ;p. She played some songs from her new album that hasn't been released yet. Awesome!!
Gretchen put on a very high energy concert. She went nonstop for a full 80 minutes. She did all of our favorites as well as a few new numbers from her new album that is due to be released in the fall. You couldn't ask for a more fun filled evening. The downside--TOO LOUD. Could have turned down the sound a bit. The EQC would not be the venue of choice for me in the future. Although the concert hall is fine the overall looks of the casino leave a lot to be desired. Dirty, Smelly, torn carpet repaired with duct tape and very expensive food and drink.
The show was great. It would be better if the sound system wasn't so loud. The music was so loud that you couldn't even understand the words to the song- what's the use of Gretchen trying to let people hear her new music if nobody can understand the words?People generally aren't deaf when they go to a concert and shouldn't have to walk away deaf.
The concert was amazing. Legends casino was great as well. They even gave out all the bottles water you could drink - free. I will definately attend more concerts at Legends Casino
Gretchen played and worked the concert like one big party. It was well received and well performed. Excellent mix of country and rock and roll. She did a great job fitting in with the audience.
Awesome show! She is an amazing live performance. Everytime she is in WA, I make sure to see her and I am never disappointed. She is by far my favorite artist.
Gretchen Wilson is awesome! Concert was awesome! I would love to see her again! She sang a song from Foreigner that was totally awesome!
Incredible concert! It doesn't get any better than Gretchen and a little Hot Blooded! She rocked the house and I would go back again in a heartbeat.
Gretchen Wilson never stopped from the time she got on the stage till she left 1 1/2 hours later. Sound was great and she really made sure the audience had a good time.
My sisters and I went for our annual 'Sister's Weekend" and we were completely blown away. You can tell that Gretchen loves what she does. The tribute to the military was awesome and I will never ever forget her cover of 'Barracuda', absolutely loved it!!
I was literally breathless from the start of the show until the end. I exclaimed at the show's end that I would pay twice as much to see it again. You know its a great show when it seems way too soon for it too end. She had a good mixture of some of her older songs as well as some very good new ones. Two songs I liked that were new was Don't Make Me Take My Earrings Off And also , I Got Your Country. She also sang a mind blowing rendition of Heart's ,Barracuda That had the crowd on their feet and roaring.
it was a great show i took my daugther to it and she had a great time also gretchen really got the audience gong and involved with the show and all.
I took my two daughters with me and will all had a wonderful time. Gretchen played so incredible I could not leave my seat. The band was unforgettable, as was Gretchen and then their is the drummer, he was simple amazing. We will be talking about the concert for a very long time and look forward to seeing them all again. I liked what Gretchen did at the end of the show with the shirt shooter. I also liked it when Gretchen left the stage to set up for her Red Neck Woman encore, everyone was just standing around waiting for Gretchen's return, knowing she would not let us down and not sing the song. The seats that we had were just right. Thanks for bringing Gretchen to the EQC for all her fans.
