  • American Idiot at Tilles

by RubyDebsday on 2/19/14Tilles Center Concert Hall - GreenvaleRating: 4 out of 5

I saw this show three times on Broadway- it was on a smaller scale, and smaller stage at the Tilles Center but still thoroughly enjoyable!

  • Better than Broadway version

by Anonymous on 2/19/14Tilles Center Concert Hall - GreenvaleRating: 4 out of 5

I saw this on Broadway years ago and, surprisingly, this production was even better. The cast was better, as was the entire production. It seemed more refined in nearly every respect. It was a lot of fun for all!

  • No American Idiot

by Jally204 on 2/19/14Tilles Center Concert Hall - GreenvaleRating: 1 out of 5

We had tickets for front row seats only to find when we arrived that the seats were removed in order to extend the stage at the request of the shows crew. Instead of the front row seats ,we were seated in row s. The staff @ Tilles was very apologetic about the seats but what can you say about poor sound system and even worse singing! We saw AI on Broadway..not even close :(

  • Green Day's American Idiot

by HeatherJeanius on 2/18/14The Palace Theatre Albany - AlbanyRating: 4 out of 5

Very talented group of musicians. If you are looking for a lot of actual acting and big story line, this is more song oriented. Overall, great music and show!

  • American idiot was awesome!

by Impossibletofindnickname on 2/17/14The Palace Theatre Albany - AlbanyRating: 5 out of 5

The palace theatre is a huge, beautiful Art Deco space built in the 1930's with wonderfully comfortable seats and perfect sight lines. The touring cast of American idiot was outrageously talented and committed to pulling off a broadway production! The band created a concert worthy performance of Green days American idiot! Can't say much for the audience who sat on their butts looking bored while these young actors gave everything they had! Truly, get a life people and act more appreciative! It was a rock concert for heavens sake

Excellent show, really enjoyed the music. Talented cast.

  • Wonderful!

by Anonymous on 2/17/14The Palace Theatre Albany - AlbanyRating: 5 out of 5

This was truly a great show; everyone that was in this musical did a fantastic job. Their dancing was perfect and they had really amazing pinch. The biggest thing that I was impressed with was that taking Green Day's music and perfectly placing the songs that made the story go along. I would definatly see this show again.

Horrible show, could not follow. Too many homophobic references.

  • Stellar Performance, and emotional tour-de-force

by AlbanyMidTwenties on 2/17/14The Palace Theatre Albany - AlbanyRating: 5 out of 5

An unforgettable performance by a very talented cast of young and young at heart dancers and singers. The rendition of well-known rock album American Idiot was seamless and emotionally charged, and the added songs and physicality of the piece did nothing but further compound the overall watch-ability of the show. Don't expect to leave with dry eyes.

The show was great! I sang along to every song! The seats were great too!

  • Beautiful venue, terrible show

by Nycgirl11 on 2/17/14The Palace Theatre Albany - AlbanyRating: 1 out of 5

Sloppy storyline , sloppy performers, sloppy sloppy sloppy. What a yawn. The music was just ok. Best part of the show was at the end when the performers strummed guitars on stage together..that's about it. The important messages were barely conveyed in a contrite and half assed manner. Don't waste your money/time. Get it together people.

Amazing show! I saw it last year and this was just as good. Would highly recommend it and I'm not a huge Green Day fan.

American Idiot was a great production! Music, dance, staging and multimedia support were all amazing.

  • American Idiot was real

by Brokenspoke on 2/17/14The Palace Theatre Albany - AlbanyRating: 5 out of 5

This is the second time I have seen this play. First time was in NYC with Melissa Etheridge playing St Jimmy. Seeing it in Albany's Palace Theatre was incredible. It was just as powerful and real as the first time. I hope the company continues to travel with this play and allow people to see how powerfully it portrays life. Thank you for a great show!!

  • Extremely bad cast

by Broadway2014 on 2/17/14The Palace Theatre Albany - AlbanyRating: 1 out of 5

The show was really bad. The cast was a bunch of kids from high school. Bad singers and dancers. The show was sloppy.

4th time seeing it and I would love to see it again

  • Great performance

    by Greebdayfan68 on 1/14/14Adler Theatre - DavenportRating: 5 out of 5

Lots of energy! and of course if you are a Green Day fan you'll love the music. The only thing I could have done without is the couple on the bed in the background "having sex." I got the point with out the actual play by play. However, overall excellent play. If the person I knew was a green day fan I would recommend it. Otherwise, I think it would be lost on them.

  • Not a fan

    by Nancyrox01 on 1/13/14Adler Theatre - DavenportRating: 2 out of 5

I am not sure if I need to be more of a Green day fan to appreciate the show more than I did. I followed the story just fine, but it left me unfulfilled. The voices were big and very good. I am more of a big production girl. Wicked, les Mis, Phantom. Loved Rock of Ages. I would not recommend this show.

  • Excellent Show!! Would definitely see it again!!

I bought the tickets for my husband for Christmas because he is a Green Day fan. I only knew a few songs and ended up loving it just as much as he did!
