    HeroBust, Cherub, Gramatik

    by pl1990 on 5/6/13The Norva - Norfolk

Overall great show! First time seeing Cherub and I recommend everyone see them if you haven't. Gramatik stage setup was real nice and HeroBust brought some nice trap beats.

    Gramatik is siiiiiiiiiiiiiiick

by Julesomatic on 5/5/13Royale Boston - Boston

HeRobust opened the show with some heavy dubstep, followed by the chill, 80s feel of Cherub and followed up by the sickest, awesome fusion between glitch hop, dub and some sweet lights by Gramatik. He knows how to run a show.

Gramatik was great - the others ... eh ...

by theoriginalchapastyle on 4/15/13House of Blues Dallas - Dallas

When Gramatik came on stage, it was worth the 2 hour wait after doors opened. His producing is quite an experience to feel because he really knows how to weave rhythms together, and it maintains interest for the listener. However, it was pure torture before then because the two acts that performed before him - Heroquest and Cherub - sucked. Heroquest had some okay beats, but there was no rhythm to his producing, just beat after beat after beat interspersed with weird sounds and it was very repetitive and boring. He was on stage entirely too long. The same can be said for Cherub. It seems that they went through their whole catalog of songs while on stage, and it was very difficult to even determine what their lyrics were about. I liked one of their songs (couldn't tell you what it was though) because it was funky and the main singer sounded like Prince, and it flowed well. However, Cherub did a better job playing their guitars when they stopped mumble singing into the microphone, and their guitar playing is something they should focus more on. Their songs were repetitive after a while as well, and should not have been on stage that long. I would go see Gramatik again if it was just him, or if he limited his before-stage acts to just one group and then if those people were on stage for no more than 30 minutes.

    Dope dance party

by thegirlwhodidntlikewarped on 4/14/13House of Blues Dallas - Dallas

lots of fratty bros at this show, but a few songs into the set, this was a great dance party. Everyone was dancing and having a good time. Great energy from all performers - Gramatik's guitarist was a cutie. TIGHT light show throughout.

Where's the funk? If I wanted to stand in a room full of frat daddy's, I'd pledge.
