Godfrey is one of the hottest comedians on the circuit, performing all over the country and hitting all the major festivals. His talent has landed him a deal at Fox to develop an animated sitcom based on his life, and this past winter he just filmed a one hour special, "Black by Accident," with Comedy Central.
Godfrey has a recurring role on FXās hit show "Louie," and has credits that include "30 Rock," "Soul Plane," "Chelsea Lately," "Zoolander," and many more.
Iāve been to Cobbs several times over the years. The staff was superb!! Godfrey set kept me in tears heās so Dopeā¦ Letās not forget about the opening act Akeem!!! Heās definitely a comic to look out for.. his comedic timing was perfect!! Great show overall.
I was really excited to see Godfrey. It was my first time seeing him in person and boy he did not disappoint. He was very funny and animated which made for good stage presence and all around good time with plenty of laughter!
I recently went to his show at Cobbs comedy club in SF and I was literally laughing from beginning to end. Thank you for being an advocate for comedy not being comedy if it's censored. Everyone needs to go see this show!
The show was great, I laughed for 2 hours straight. Woke up the next morning with abdominal pain laughing so long and hard. Great comedians all night and the headliner was amazingly funny, raw natural Talent.
Date night was a great night at the Godfrey show! The openers as well as the main event were all so awesome!!!!!
I enjoyed all of the comics! I laughed the entire time! The venue operates at full capacity though. No room for social distancing so I wore my mask the entire time, but I had a wonderful time!

Godfrey is funny, funny, funny! I laughed til I cried his entire performance! His first opening act was hilarious as well! Only issue is we ordered food and they did not provide us with any utensils or napkins but it was a great time.
Ive been a fan of Godfrey for years and this was the best by far standups Ive seen from him.

Non-stop laughter. The best comedy show I have ever attended. I don't know why he doesn't have his own show on TV. p.s. The food at the club was also pretty good.
All of the acts were good. Of course Godfrey was great!! We laughed so much. My only suggestion was you need 2 bartenders in the bar area as the one was to busy to service everyone waiting for the show and the bar.
Godfrey was AMAZING! So, so, so funny! At one point, bith my husband and I had tears streaming down our faces. Great impressions, great voices, great storytelling. Godfrey is an absolute MUST SEE!
Ticket experience was good & the entertainment was excellent. However, I had a problem with the two drink minimum purchase. I do not drink alcohol and was told that soda purchases did not count toward the drink purchase. The can water counted but not soda?! I ordered an appetizer & one can water. I was a little upset when I had to order another can drink to go.
Godfrey is super hilarious! I went with a group of friends and we couldnāt stop laughing. We laughed straight through the whole show, from start to finish!!! We laughed š so hard our stomachs hurt! I would definitely go see God for Godfrey again, by far the best comedian Iāve seen at the Wilbur theater! Kudos to you, Mr. Godfrey š!!!!

Godfrey is one of my favorites and I was so happy that his tour stopped in CT! I highly recommend this show and would see him again.
