About

Cuban-born Gloria Estefan has been bringing the Latin sound to audiences around the world since the '70s with iconic hits like with iconic hits like “Words Get in the Way,” “Bad Boys” and “Can’t Stay Away From You." With album sales in the tens of millions, she is considered the world’s most successful Latin crossover artist, bringing an edgy yet heartfelt vibe that transcends cultures and language barriers. As she hits the stage in an explosion of cool, controlled energy, Estefan entrances ticket holders with her honey-smooth vocals, rhythm-infused tunes and inspiring lyrics. In 2013, Estefan embarked on a world tour to promote her album, The Standards, performing for sell-out concerts in venues that included London’s Royal Albert Hall.

A Cuban immigrant whose family fled the Castro regime, Estefan first hit the music scene during the 1970s as the lead singer for the Miami Sound Machine. In 1985, the group released its first Columbia album, Eyes of Innocence, which features the mega-hit “Dr. Beat” and the popular ballad “I Need Your Love.” The album made Estefan a star, and the band became more of a venue to showcase her sizzling hot vocals. By 1989, the group disbanded and Estefan became a fully established solo artist, capping her fame with singles such as “Anything for You” and “Get On Your Feet.” In 2013, Estefan celebrated her four decades in music with The Standards, an album of songs from the Great American Songbook. The album hit No. 20 on the Billboard Top 200 and continues to be a bestseller worldwide, as well as a fitting tribute to Estefan’s evergreen versatility.

    Gloria Estefan was fantastic!

by Babywhisperer on 10/16/10San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino - Highland

Gloria Estefan and her band was great, she was warm and personable, her singing might even be better than it was when she was younger, and she did a nice mix of older and newer material, including requests from the audience through texting messages.

A new twist on some old hits!

by ConcertGrl3 on 10/16/10San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino - Highland

Gloria Estefan does schedule World Tours anymore, but she does perform One-Night Only shows, and the Inland Empire was treated to her latest one-night of music and she did not disappoint! Since the venue is smaller than the arenas that Gloria has performed at in the past, the show began pretty simply. As the concert continued however, dancers appreared on stage with Mrs Estefan, bringing the usual Gloria show to life. A new twist to Gloria's show was audience request via text messaging. As Gloria put it, ":We're using new technology in our show tonight". The video screens on stage and around the venue, displayed audience song request, and Gloria and the band were happy to oblige. Audence interaction was great, and Gloria would even look for audience members that requested the songs, which gave the show a more personal feel. Overall, the show was amazing, and the song request took audience members back to the begining of Gloria's career...a look back at previous Miami Sound Machine days. It might be several years before Gloria Estefan performs another one-night only show like this, but when she does, do not miss her show.....I know I won't!

Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine were amazing. It was a fun concert and it was such an honor to finally listen to one of my favorite artists performing live. Estefan is such a down to earth person. Witty, talented, and just REAL.

by Oyeme on 10/16/10San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino - Highland

She is awesome, she was singing almost all the songs that we asked for it ( some of them half ways) but we got the taste of a mix English and Spanish songs. She was amazing... I love her

    Gloria is Glorious

by Marsyl on 10/16/10San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino - Highland

Gloria Estafan is an extraordinary artist! She is an authentic person and down to Earth! She's extremely talented and intelligent. We will definitely pay to go see her again and again. However, at the same venue, probably not! We had great seats; however, the seating arrangement was not acceptable for the guest towards the back. It is all same leveled. It's actually a huge ballroom. Not a place for great sound nor for concert accommodations.

Awesome song selections/band - bad room

by SeniorSalsero on 10/16/10San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino - Highland

Gloria's concert was very good because she took audience requests via text and covered the oldest to the latest songs. My only complaint was the concert room. It was done in the San Manuel Bingo room (flat floor, regular chairs). I would not come back to this venue for another concert.

    Gloria Estefan very disappointing

by Emilo on 10/16/10San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino - Highland

Gloria Estefan continues to be one of the top preformers since 1985, however, this last performance at San Manuel Indian Casino was very disappointing; "Gloria you need to get better back up singers," especially the location where this concert was held. The seats, the location, the view was absolutely awful. No way will I ever attend another concert at San Manuel Casino. Gloria you're fans deserve better!...if it wasn't for your fans you would not be living the life style that your living now. Your last concert at Las Vegas (Cesar's Place) was the best ever. Once again Gloria, consider new back up singers and maybe a return visit to Las Vegas

    Gloria Estefan is a performer

by Figueroa on 10/16/10San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino - Highland

My wife & i went not knowing the Venue. It was great, good sound attenuation, good security, great location to refreshments and facilities. We had a hard time finding the place but we surmise that it was because of the construction. At any rate, we ate dinner which was excellent; but most of all Gloria was absolutely amazing felt the energy from her performance along with the Miami Sound Machine. It was a great show and the interfacing with the audience was climaxing as there were people from all over the world. Cultures united and created a great ambience. What a lovely Lady may she continue to inspire & bring joy to old school and new fans.

    Gloria was fantastic!

by verdisrns on 10/16/10San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino - Highland

Gloria was everything I'd hoped she would be. I've waited years to see her live, as she's always been a favorite of mine. She delivered 100%, and had the audience dancing in their seats, in the aisles, etc. My only complaint was the venue. I was expecting "theater type seating", and we ended up sitting on stacking chairs in a large "ballroom type facility". Once the music started and people stood up, it was hard to see the stage. We had to look at small video screens to our left. There was a large screen on the stage which was visible when people sat down. We paid $100 a ticket, and drove 80 miles for this concert. I would not go to the casino venue again for a concert, but I'd go see "Gloria" again in a minute. My husband thought the sound system was scratchy.

Gloria and the Miami Sound Machine rocked!

by Bako2 on 10/16/10San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino - Highland

Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine were terrific. Her voice was wonderful and she gave tremendous energy nonstop through the entire performance. She also related very personably to the audience. The Miami Sound Machine was great, especially the 3 percussionists. The only downside to the concert was the venue itself at the San Manuel casino. The concert took place in a huge ballroom. The floor was flat, not theater-style, so the people in front blocked the view. The chairs were regular dining or folding chairs and not that comfortable. The sound system was mediocre at best -- most of it sounded OK but the horn section was way overboosted and screeched on the solos. The closed circuit TV system needed improvement. The big screen behind the stage was crystal clear but the picture on the smaller screens throughout the room were not HD quality. I doubt I would see another concert at this venue unless it was the only option. But again, Gloria and the MSM were wonderful performers and well worth seeing!! Truly talented performers!

Gloria was wonderful - Venue was terrible

by Grumpy1millionth on 10/16/10San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino - Highland

Gloria is timeless - she is in great voice and interacts with the audience well - She is lovely as ever. I would highly recommend seeing her. Her dancers were great - from what little I saw of them. May I say how frustrating this venue was. Tho' the staff was always kind and helpful, it was not enough to make up for the terrible seating. I have spent thousands on concert tickets from brokers to ensure good seats - with the economy the way it is, I was not able to do it this time. I see now what it is like for those without. Not expecting front row seats - just expecting a view of the stage. For $90 plus this was very disappointing. Sound was a bit muffled - sometimes couldn't here what she was saying. Her orchestra/percussions/and voice were wonderful - they were the only reason I didn't get up and leave.

    Phenomenal Performance!

by TeacherJanet37 on 10/16/10San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino - Highland

Gloria is such a gifted singer and performer. I was mesmerized for 2 hours by her unforgettable music and lyrics. I want to thank her for visiting Southern California at a time I was able to attend the event. I shall never forget the experience and hope to see and hear her time and time again. She is a true artist and fine lady. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
