Best Gig Ever
by Van on 3/23/22The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringGlassjaw played their entire songs off their albums Everything You Need To Know About Silence and Worship and Tribute including the extra tracks, which was a very nice surprise. I was expecting that they will only play few songs of each albums. I really love how all the songs evolved througout the years - the songs sounds a little more mature specially how Daryl sings nowadays. They changed some of the songs structures or maybe its because of how they all matured as a band and Daryl almost focus on singing compared to the pure aggression on the cd. Justin's tone is Godly - very far from what I hear on youtube. The drummer and the bassist fit the band very well. They held the rhythym together the entire night. Great musicianship and they never missed a beat at all. I cant imagine played for two hours straight and still sound great till the end. But the biggest thing I appreciate was the whole experience. What they did on the visuals and additional sound elements can never be felt on your headphones. You feel the bass hit your chest. You hear all the drum notes. You get chills when they play the silent part of every song. Every Glassjaw fan should see them in the upcoming tour. I am pretty sure this is probably one of the best live shows I have ever been. The venues lights and sound helped Glassjaw deliver what they are trying to do. Now I wish they can tour again and play the Coloring book in this configuration.
