Waited 3years for this performance and it was SO worth it. I was mesmerized, captivated and so captured by the music, the artistry, the story. Herman and Skylar are my favorites. I was so happy to go to the performance they were in! I’m hoping ABT will come again next year!
Absolutely beautiful performance. Everything was perfect, the sets, the music, the seats, and especially the amazing Skylar Brandt. I am used to seeing ballet performances at the Met in NYC so my bar was set very high… DPAC exceeded my every expectation. Thank you all involved.
The American Ballet Theatre is the most prominent US ballet company. I once saw their Nutcracker production at the Kennedy Center in DC (a ballet I have seen dozens of times in multiple places since childhood) and this was the BEST. No surprise, I was excited ABT chose DPAC to perform Giselle and the chance to see their prima ballerina, Isabella Boylston. It was spectacular. From the dancers who made such difficult moves look effortless (talk about athletes), the orchestra's talent, the set design, to the venue with friendly staff. I was disappointed DPAC didn't have more attendees at my Saturday matinee. I hope ABT's run there was worth it for the company so they return. Do not miss it next time!
ABT was spectacular!!! As a former ABT (NYC) enthusiast, I was so thrilled to see this wonderful performance of Giselle.
The dancers, costumes, sets, orchestra, and sound system were all wonderful!
The ABT performance of Giselle was sheer perfection. The scenery, costumes, music and dancers were amazing. The synchronicity of the ballerinas in the second act gave an ethereal illusion of the spirits they were portraying. Even if one didn’t know the story of Giselle, the acting of the performers enlightened you. The prima ballerinas in this performance were at the height of their game- absolutely amazing! I loved every minute.
The Power and Beauty of the performance was memorable . Thank you to all who were a part of the production !
The ABT's Giselle was wonderful. The dancers looked weightless. The only problem was that the conductor's light was set straight back at the audience and when the conductor moved it was like a strobe light -very distracting.
Lovely! It was beautifully done, excellent scenery and costumes and dancers were just wonderful. It was most enjoyable afternoon show and will be remembered as treasured theatre experience! Thank you DPAC for bringing such fantastic theatre opportunities to the area.
Music was enchanting, costume colors were vivid and bright. The set was timeless and of course the dancing was superb. A lovely matinee!
