I used to go see the ABT at the Lincoln Center in NYC, and loved them, so I was thrilled to see them here in Durham. Hope they liked it here enough to come back! The precision of the dancing was wonderful to watch. The costumes and backdrops were fabulous. After watching the Carolina Ballet, it was wonderful to see a higher class company
We were disappointed when the American Ballet Theater's production of Giselle featuring Misty Copeland was canceled during the pandemic - but even without a big-name star the production that arrived last weekend was well worth the wait. The company was enormous, featuring its own orchestra and even two hunting dogs, and the featured dancers were exceptional. Glad we jumped and ordered good seats right away.
Giselle was a joy to watch. The American Ballet Theatre is incomparable; their talent was definitely on display this weekend in Durham. Everything was exceptional; the dancing, the staging, the music. I would go see this performance again and again and sincerely hope that ABT makes regular visits to NC!
ABT's performance of Giselle was absolutely breathtaking! Additionally, our seats in the Grand Tier were amazing and the option to pay for parking when purchasing our tickets was super convenient. The complimentary shuttle between DPAC and the parking deck was an unexpected surprise, and the gentleman driving the shuttle was very helpful in providing helpful tips and pointers during our drive.
Everything about this show was lovely. I hope to see more like this in the future
Costumes, set and choreography all top notch. The dancing was amazing and spot on. We loved the ballet, ABT did a super job of giving us a wonderful evening! Thank you ABT!
The ABT performance of Giselle was absolutely beautiful. I’ve seen several ballets in New York and this was the best I’ve ever seen. The costumes, backdrops and dancers were all superb. Isabella Boylston was magnificent.
You name it. Talent , set , costumes MUSIC. All perfection. Run to DPac and get in on this early visit to heaven.
