After spending much of 2013 focusing on his R&B supergroup TGT -- which also features Tyrese and Tank -- Ginuwine shifted his attention to his solo work with the planned 2014 release of a new album titled Old School Young -- his first solo recording since 2011's Elgin. His successful stint with TGT included the release of an album titled Three Kings, which hit No. 3 on The Billboard 200 chart, and a tour that had fans snapping up tickets for concerts in major performing arts centers.
Ginuwine, born Elgin Baylor Lumpkin, is a native of Washington, D.C. who grew up listening to the music of Michael Jackson and Prince, which inspired him to begin performing. After he was discovered by the R&B group Jodici in 1996, he was signed by Epic Records and released his debut album, titled Ginuwine... The Bachelor. It spawned the hit single "Pony," which is a good example of his influential brand of hip-hop soul. Among the other hits in Ginuwine's catalog, which inspired young stars like Ne-Yo and Chris Brown, are "Differences," "In Those Jeans," and "So Anxious."
I had a BLAST! I got to sing with Ginuwine!! I lived my dream!!!!!
Had an excellent time and wonderful show. If he’s ever back in town I will go again
OMG the concert was excellent we had girls weekend also had great seats looking for more events especially this summer
Ginuwine puts on a great show. The band was really good and he still enjoys performing and it shows.
I loved the concert and had a great time. Ginuwine is so personable and loves to interact with his fans. I had a chance to meet him and he was amazing. If you have a chance to see him, please do. It was nice to go back down memory lane with his songs
Amazing, organized, entertaining, and funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!
Good show and casino wad very beautiful staff was friendly and helpful
I had a very nice time and I want to see him again
Not enough original songs basically a one hour concert people ended up walking out before concert was finished
Saw him Friday in TO and still meh...but, Montell J was absolutely entertaining and had us on our feet. Just hate being around kids/teens at a concert.BOA performing arts was cool.
Ginuwine has not lost it! His voice is still so powerful. He had a tribute to Aaliyah which was very touching. Montel Jordan blew me away. I loved him touching on God too!! My friend and I were transported back with all these memories and songs. It was truly amazing!
This is my second time I go see Ginuwine and I’ve always enjoyed his performance. Voice is still the same and he sings almost throughout who show himself no backup singers really needed to cover his songs. He still has the energy to perform.
Great performances but the venue kinda a drab it did not match the atmosphere for the performances
I really enjoyed myself ..never a dull moment. First time seeing his show and will go back again
Awesome performance! He looked & sounded great. I’m looking forward to another concert.
