  • Disco this was not

by Marky Mark on 4/10/23Delmar Hall - Saint LouisRating: 2 out of 5

There was definitely some Abba, but the music was not disco. Previous time for this event last year was so much better. The DJ from Springfield was horrible - his ramblings with the audience, his mixing from song to song, his playlist, and slowing down of songs - all horrible. It was as if he was playing for a wedding reception. Will think twice of going to this event in the future.

  • Not like it used to be

by Krystal on 4/9/23The Observatory - Santa AnaRating: 3 out of 5

I love this event. I have gone many times. The DJ started super late for the April show, and I didn’t like that more ABBA was played then normal. It felt like I was in a musical versus a dance party. Thank goodness for alcohol or else it would have just been meh. Hopefully it gets back to how it used to be.

  • Most Fun Ever

by meg on 4/6/23The Depot - Salt Lake CityRating: 5 out of 5

This is my second time going to the Abba Disco and I loved it so much again. I could and would go to this event hundreds of times and still have a blast. The people and atmosphere is so amazing and I can’t say enough how much I love this!

  • The most epic girls night out

by Jessie on 4/3/23House of Blues San Diego - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

This was the most fun I have had at an event in a longgg time! Every single song played was on point we didn't stop dancing the entire night! The vibes are so great and everyone is so nice and having the best time! Would definitely recommend!

  • Fun Girls Night

by Chetta on 3/27/239:30 CLUB - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

It was a great night! The atmosphere was fun and we loved the music. The DJ's energy was fantastic and we loved it. The only feedback I would have is to play more Abba or if there are songs in between Abba (which were great selections!) to clip them so it's not the whole song. I know myself and my girlfriends didn't hear some songs we had been hoping to hear! Overall a fun night !

  • Great but the song selections were not it

by QWERTY on 3/22/239:30 CLUB - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The dj himself did a great job as a hype man but that seemed to be all he did. Every song was played all the way through which makes me think it was just a set playlist he was given. Plus Abba was only played about every fourth or fifth song which was disappointing for an Abba themed event. The other song selections were odd and too mellow for what should have been upbeat night. Like I don’t see why sweet Caroline was played all the way through and it seemed like most of the audience was getting bored. BUT overall it was a very fun night and everybody was psyched to be there so the energy was great.

  • Not bad

by CJ on 3/21/239:30 CLUB - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

A fun time but nothing special, basically just someone pushing play on a disco playlist

  • The perfect GNO

by Liz on 3/21/239:30 CLUB - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

The vibes: immaculate. The songs: boppin’. The atmosphere: killer. I can’t recommend this event enough!!

  • Underwhelming

by Amanda on 3/15/23Big Night Live - BostonRating: 2 out of 5

Went at the recommendation of a friend for a fun girls night out. The "DJ" came out an hour late and thought that everyone was there to see him. There wasn't much DJing happening at this show, anyone could have queued up the mediocre playlist that we heard. The "DJ" spent more time prancing around the stage and audience than he did behind the DJ booth. Our friend who saw it in NYC was with us in Boston and said the two shows were nothing alike. Too bad there isn't more consistency in the events.

  • Awesome experience overall

by LJG on 3/14/23The Masquerade - Heaven - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Saw through Tik Tok and went to the Atlanta New Years Eve Concert and was insane. 10/10 would recommend. I more recently went to the Atlanta one on March 10, was a little less impressive, due to music choice. I prefer the well known songs where as the second concert had some mixed with quite a few lesser known, less danceable songs. Still great overall 8.5/10 but definitely recommend going on New Years.

  • Great premise- Poor execution

by Jessie on 3/13/23Big Night Live - BostonRating: 2 out of 5

I heard from someone who went to this in NYC that it was so much fun. As a lover of disco I was so excited and bought my ticket. Unfortunately, the DJ started 1 hour late (started promptly in NYC). The DJ was very much all about him. He was singing and talking over songs. If I’m seeing a famous DJ, fine. I didn’t come to see this guy. I came to dance to disco music. Again, the person who went in NYC said that the dj didn’t even come out from behind the booth. I was hoping for more than just ABBA music (obviously I knew there would be a decent amount), but of the disco music that was played, it was like 5 not ABBA songs. For $50 I was expecting more.

  • Fun Disco night

    by Steve O on 3/13/23The Masquerade - Heaven - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Lots of great disco music played, but a few songs from other genres were occasionally sprinkled in. Other reviews I read from other parts of the country mentioned that not enough ABBA or disco as a whole was played but I didn’t feel like we had that issue.

  • Could Have Been Better

    by M on 3/13/23The Masquerade - Heaven - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

I've been to this event before, and it was awesome! But the DJ was pretty terrible this time. Instead of playing the music we came to hear, he played equal amounts of super current music (Super Freaky Girl, etc.) and random beats as he did ABBA-era music which kinda ruined the vibe we paid for. When I've been before, it's been packed until late, but most people had left by 1am this time.

  • not enough ABBA

by Jo on 3/7/23Majestic Theatre - MadisonRating: 3 out of 5

thought it was strange how a gimme gimme abba themed disco didn’t play the gimme gimme song :( would have been nice to know the set list focused more on other songs!

  • So disappointing...

by Gabbi on 3/7/23GLC Live at 20 Monroe - Grand RapidsRating: 1 out of 5

I expected there to be a DJ that really accepted the disco theme and apply it to the music. However, the DJ in charge of music had no plan for the night's music. He simply asked for song requests instead of having a predetermined list of music. The music he played wasn't very diverse and he even included the YMCA. I know the YMCA might've been fitting for the genre, but it just made it seem like someone playing a Spotify playlist at a middle school dance. Overall, it wasn't memorable and the music wasn't worth the price.

  • Need more disco!

by Tin on 3/7/23History - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

I thought it was great, but I wished more disco music was playing. Towards the end the DJ was playing other club music.

  • Not enough disco

by Rebecca on 3/6/23Bogart's - CincinnatiRating: 4 out of 5

By the end of the evening, the DJ started playing less disco/ABBA music and instead started playing songs like Mr. Bright side. Overall it was fun, but it headed in the wrong direction in music genre

  • Okay fun-not really what was advertised

by Disco gal on 3/6/23GLC Live at 20 Monroe - Grand RapidsRating: 3 out of 5

The music was fun, had some classics. The lights, confetti, or even disco lights that were in their ads was nothing like the event. Kind of a dud and not a lot of people showed up, which explains why tickets were so cheap.

  • Dj had no talent

    by K. V. on 3/2/23Rating: 2 out of 5

The two djs weren’t mixing the songs. There were no transitions between songs. They didn’t play enough ABBA! Still a fun time

  • Great!

by Amey on 3/1/23State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

The DJ was amazing!! It played many ABBA songs, but also other songs from the area. It was fun seeing everyone dressed up in their bell bottoms. It is great for all ages!!
