With four No. 1 albums in just a few short years, Regional Mexico singer Gerardo Ortiz has ridden a tremendous wave of success to become the contemporary “king of corrido,” the style of narrative ballad popular in Norteño music. Ortiz’s blend of traditional and modern elements and his popularity among young Norteño fans led to a virtual sweep of the 2011 Billboard Mexican Music Awards, earning him six honors including New Artist of the Year and Male Artist of the Year. With the 2012 release of El Primer Ministro, Ortiz once again topped the Latin Albums chart, adding to his collection of hits with accordion-laced ballads about love and loss like “Mañana Voy a Conquistarla” and “Solo Vine a Despedirme.” Ortiz rose to overnight success in 2010 with the release of his major label debut Ni Hoy Ni Mañana, which landed in the Top 5 of the Latin Albums chart and received a Grammy nomination for Best Norteño Album. Ortiz followed up with several chart-topping live albums and his second studio album Entre Dios y el Diablo, which peaked at No. 1 on the Latin Albums chart and included the hit single “Cara A La Muerte.” On tour in 2013, Ortiz has received rave review from ticket buyers for his rousing live concerts, leaving little doubt that a bright future awaits the young singer.
There were four groups playing, it was about a total of four hours. The entertainment was great! The artist all did very well. We had a great view. The Forum was such a venue, looking forward to going back.
The show was great because of Calibre 50. They should have been headliners. The crowd went wild and they had great energy. Gerardo Ortiz was ok. Lets put it this way, we left before he ended his set. The sound for him was horrible. You could not make out the words that he was singing. The energy in the room went down. The horrible sound didnt give Gerardo Ortiz a chance.
This concert was an amazing pre- valentine's day gift! It totally made it a year to remember.
Purchased this show with Gerardo Ortiz and Calibre 50 as the only two acts for the show. They began to announce two more acts joining the concert after I had pruchased the tickets. These two acts shorten Gerardo Ortiz's act and made the price paid for the tickets not worth the price paid. Calibre 50 put on a better longer show than the main act Gerardo Ortiz.
It was amazing. The best performance by far. Would definitely do it again.

I loved it, he is an excelent singer, I would like to see more of these events in Mescalero we don't get to see shows like this in this small town
They where all amazing best night of my life I got there a lil late but still got to see my baby Luis coronel then when julion came on he was good and Gerardo was amazing he had every on standing up dancing going crazy

it was awesome, would of loved to have taken a picture with Luis Coronel because that was the whole reason I purchased VIP to be real close to the artist. but the security was to aggressive and didn't let us take pictures with the singers and we were in the VIP section would recommend seats but don't hold your breath to take a SELFIE with a singer because Vip only means closer look doesn't guarantee a picture with your idle :(
Everything was amazing except security they couldn't keep people out of VIP that didn't belong there I paid more so why should they be privilege to come from different sections into VIP
Seats were too expensive almost same as VIP and you couldn't see a thing people were dancing in front and the rodeo bars were in the way to see the show so you basically saw the artists behind bars :(. Not cool I think people had a better view in the bleachers and it was less expensive. Many people in that section were mad and complained.
Luis Coronel, Julion Alvarez & Gerardo Ortiz were great! Amazing- would deft see them again!
I didn't like the set up of the event. The stage was pushed to one side there for making it difficult to view the artist. I SAY PLEASE work on the set up for a event like this so the customers on the opposite side dont feel jipped!. MY 3 Stars go all to Julion Alvarez Performance.
Great artist but their sound was terrible. Couldn't understand what they where saying or singing
Bad sound, there were only 10 bull rides when flyers said they would have 21. Seats were horrible our seats were under a structure where we could not see so we had to be moved. Beer prices were ridiculous.
From the beginning until the end "a perfect storm"
There was a screen above the stage. It would have been nice if the singers were shown on that screen.
Julion stole the show :/ gerardo didnt sing alot of his hits u wished he sang more! Bt overall i left happy
