About

Genesis is one of the world's biggest selling and most successful bands of all time. They have sold an estimated 100 million albums and have played to sold-out stadiums and arenas all over the world for decades.

The evolution of Genesis is unique, their sound developed and progressed throughout their career and with multiple line-up alterations in the early years, the classic line-up of Tony Banks, Phil Collins, and Mike Rutherford took shape in 1976.

'And Then There Were Three' (1978) was the first album the band released as a three-piece and spawned the single 'Follow You Follow Me' which was their first UK top ten and US top 30 single and proved to be the start of huge commercial global success. The albums 'Duke' (1980), 'Abacab' (1981), 'Genesis' (1983), 'Invisible Touch' (1986) and 'We Can't Dance' (1991) followed for the trio, alongside almost constant global stadium tours cementing the band as one of the most successful of all time.

Tony, Phil and Mike reunited again as a band in 2007 after almost 10 years for the Turn It On Again Tour which went on to be one of the biggest grossing tours on the year playing sold-out stadiums around the world.

2021 will see Genesis tour for the first time in 14 years, in North America, the UK, and Ireland.

  • Genesis Returns

It was a great show. I had not seen the band in over thirty years so it was very exciting to see them live again. The light show and stage effects were top notch. Phil Collins is very good as a front man and the band must have practiced a lot because their musicianship was outstanding. The only drawback is that our seats at the top of the United Center were very close together and you feel slightly packed in.

  • Amazing Multimedia and Multi-sensory Spectacle

by Bill on 11/18/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Wow! Genesis is my favorite band of all time. I became a fan of the hits as a kid growing up in the 80s — then heard album tracks like “Domino,” “Home by the Sea” and of course the Gabriel canon even further back. That said, due to their break up in the early 90s, this was only my third show: 1992, 2007 and 2021. I will say that they didn’t disappoint. Phil has been through so much personally and with health since the last Genesis tour and even since his 2018 solo tour that I attended. It was an amazing show of resile be to see h not let any of this stop him from soldiering on in fine form. While he may have lost some of that ability to belt the high notes the backing singers filled in capably, and he was dynamic and emotive throughout. Highlights here were the “Fading Lights-Cinema Show-Afterglow” medley and “Dancing with the Moonlit Night-Carpet Crawlers.” Nic, Phil’s son, was A+ on drums as were Tony, Mike and Daryl on keys, bass and guitars. Of course, we’d expect nothing less from those three. The lighting, effects and musicianship all combined lift this show to a full multi-sensory experience that is felt much more than listened to and watched. Immerse yourself into what is very likely the last Genesis tour.

  • Blown away

    by Scottie F on 11/18/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time! Phil Collins was so charismatic, even sitting In a chair, it brought a whole ne element to the way he puts over a song! The lights, the sound, what a show!!

  • Amazing!

by Tommy on 11/18/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was phenomenal. Genesis sounded great and the band hasn’t lost a beat adding Phil Collins’ son to drums. It was worth every penny we paid for the tickets.

  • Amazing, just amazing!

by Steve on 11/18/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Everything was wonderful! Great venue! Genesis was jaw dropping good! Only negative was that the show had to end. NOBODY is better live than Genesis, even in their ‘advanced’ years! Well done! Thank you so much!

  • Unexpectedly Pleasantly Surprised

by Marillion on 11/18/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

First time I’ve seen Genesis since 1984. With the exception of not seeing Phil drum this was a better concert. I became a fan during the Phil lead vocal area but, got to know their past material and became a bigger fan of the Gabriel era . Glad that they included a good size portion of that era. Band was tight , Nic did his dad proud. Technology of the video made you forget that Phil had to sit in a chair throughout the concert. Phil’s vocals are still incredible. Hopefully, Phil’s health will improve and they’ll tour again. If not this was a great way to say goodbye. Highly recommend if you have the chance to see them on this tour.

  • Great show also sad because of ending of the band.

by Patrick on 11/18/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Just a great show sad to see this is the end of the band I followed for 40years. If you love genesis you better get your chance to see them before they are gone for good.

  • United and control

by Hayhay on 11/18/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

Genesis was incredible, the United Center was well organized but the price gouging was unbelievable. There are really not many places near by to stay for out of town guests so cabs, Ubers or lyfts are being used. It cost $20 to get there from Michigan Ave( 2 mile ride)and $40 to get back! Dispite the fact that Uber had a very organized system of pick up and a tent with seating. United Center was nice and easy to get around and loads of staff to help.

  • Amazing!!!

    by Kerry H on 11/18/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Genesis has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. To see them one more time was a gift. Tony, Mike, Darryl and Nic were brilliant. Phil was not up to his usual high standard but after a song or two he was sounding great again. His old sense of humor and playfulness was there as well. A fantastic night I will never forget!

  • Countdown On!

    by K.O. on 11/3/21Rating: 5 out of 5

Going to Nov. 15th concert at United Center, Chicago with hubby. Can't wait! Seen Genesis many times and was always a great performance. When we were dating, he wore out several Geneis cassette tapes in his car constantly playing The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway & The Carpet Crawlers. I'm older now and this is another concert on my bucket list and believe me I'm going out rockin!!!! Thank you Genesis for "getting the band back together" and treating us fans to enjoy your many talents & music!!!

  • Me and my son favorite band

    by M. C. on 9/17/21Rating: 5 out of 5

I saw Genesis 5 times live. I am 54. Saw them twice in 2007. September 14th at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal (Stadium Stage) and, the next day in Ottawa, at the Canadian Tire Center (Arena Stage). Best concerts I have ever seen. My son Benjamin, 17 years old, grew up while his dad was listening to Genesis. He always said "My dream is to see them live". I was telling him, well, the chances are very slim. I Couldn't believe it when I learned they were touring and coming to Montreal November 22nd. We have our floor tickets, and my son is in for a treat. His first ever concert. Lets just say he's putting the bar very high! lol
