About

Genesis is one of the world's biggest selling and most successful bands of all time. They have sold an estimated 100 million albums and have played to sold-out stadiums and arenas all over the world for decades.

The evolution of Genesis is unique, their sound developed and progressed throughout their career and with multiple line-up alterations in the early years, the classic line-up of Tony Banks, Phil Collins, and Mike Rutherford took shape in 1976.

'And Then There Were Three' (1978) was the first album the band released as a three-piece and spawned the single 'Follow You Follow Me' which was their first UK top ten and US top 30 single and proved to be the start of huge commercial global success. The albums 'Duke' (1980), 'Abacab' (1981), 'Genesis' (1983), 'Invisible Touch' (1986) and 'We Can't Dance' (1991) followed for the trio, alongside almost constant global stadium tours cementing the band as one of the most successful of all time.

Tony, Phil and Mike reunited again as a band in 2007 after almost 10 years for the Turn It On Again Tour which went on to be one of the biggest grossing tours on the year playing sold-out stadiums around the world.

2021 will see Genesis tour for the first time in 14 years, in North America, the UK, and Ireland.

This concert was so good! Lights vocals & band - really one of best I’ve been to! Brought tears to my eyes that’s how good it was.

  • Many hits played, fantastic light show

Genesis started their Last Domino tour with two nights in Chicago. Playing before a sold out United Center, many favorite hits were played from Lamb Lies Down on Broadway to Invisible Touch to Follow You, Follow Me. The audience was enthusiastic and sang along with the songs we grew up with. A wonderful experience in every respect.

  • Outstanding!

Genesis did a great job picking songs through out the 50 years, Phil did a great job of staying a part of the show. The visuals were outstanding, they played for 2 1/2 hours. You can tell Nic Collins was trained by his father, he drums exactly like Phil.

  • Genesis All the Way!

by Paulies on 11/20/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Enjoyed the concert! Great graphics and sound. Even though I was by the speakers, I didnʻt get blown out...probably a side effect of COVID, jk, but it was all GENESIS...good to see Phil Collins and his son is too awesome for words!

  • Best. Time. Ever!

Mom and I got the Tonight Tonight VIP tickets which includes 1-10 row seats, dinner, wine, swag bag, laminated ticket, VIP lanyard, VIP hosts, early access to shop, early access in general, free parking, and games to win more prizes. The team did such a great job making you truly feel VIP. Everyone was so friendly , the gifts were nice and things we would actually use, service was top notch, food and drink was delicious, and the whole vibe was super positive. Genesis was amazing. Phil sat due to his health but sang his heart out. The band sounded awesome. I wouldn’t change the set list. It was a nice mix. Although, selfishly, it would have been so cool if Phil would have done one of his iconic solo songs because this will probably be the last time he sings live. But I understand it was a Genesis Concert not a Phil Collins concert. The crowd had great energy and was genuinely having so much fun. The promotion team was great and the stadium team was great. My mom can’t walk stairs due to a knee injury so they were so great in escorting us to an accessible route so she didn’t hurt. I would highly recommend. And the VIP tickets were way more money than we would normally every spend but knowing it is probably the last and only time I’ve seen them I went for it. And I’m so happy I did. I’d do it all over again. Great job all around! Thank you for a great memory with my mom.

  • As good as ever

Some performers should enjoy retirement as their voices and performances are just not what fans expect. This is certainly not the case with Genesis. The show Tuesday night in Chicago was exceptional. Phil might not be able to hold drumsticks anymore but damn, that man can sing! Thank you Genesis for an amazing evening!

  • Still in Awe

by Carrie on 11/20/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I am so glad to have been able to see Genesis. Phil, Mike and Tony are all masters of their craft and it is long known their live shows are amazing. There's a reason Daryl has been touring with the band for over 40 years. Nicholas did a very nice job and you could tell how proud Phil was of him. The instrumentation was superb. Backup singers are new to Genesis, so it was different to see them, but the did a good job of supplementing Phil's vocals without covering them. Great band, great music, great show. Thank you for going back out on tour, gentlemen.

  • Classically phenomenal!

by Biteme on 11/20/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

From the moment you entered for VIP the experience was terrific. The lanyard and goodies remind you this is GENESIS. The United Center was spotless and shining. The VIP red carpet a treat. Even the Security appeared to be as excited as us the concert goers! GENESIS… Breathtaking performance! Phil Collins in a jovial mood made conversation and jokes. Egging on the crowd which was more then thrilled to partake in! 23 glorious songs in total rang through the venue. Nic Collins on drums seems to be a clone of his Dad. Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks haven’t lost a beat. The lights and sound spectacular! The take on the mask men and falling toilet paper were spot on in Land Of Confusion! Grateful for the chance to see the last Domino as it falls. Will miss GENESIS concerts but, the music will live on.

  • Awesome show!

by Barbara on 11/20/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

We had great seats to start with, and the show was amazing from the very first song all the way to the end. The lighting and light shows, just brilliant!!! Inventive and so well orchestrated with the incredible music. Phil Collins did not disappoint, his voice has all the power, range and volume it’s ever had! Such a treat to hear him live, and Nicholas Collins, Mike Rutherford, Tony Banks, they are all amazing. I’ve no complaints, just loved the music and the show! Wish I’d had tickets for both nights! United center staff did a nice job too, I will say. Kept everyone safe, in and out in an orderly fashion, bathrooms clean. vending areas also slick and span.

  • Dream Come True

by Sarah on 11/19/21Rating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show in Chicago. I never got to see them live before. My inner teenager is very pleased with the vip package. Well done guys. And well done Nic. Dad taught you well.

  • The best domino?

by TLT on 11/19/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first ever Genesis concert. I bought these tickets for my dad—they’re his favorite band—for his birthday. I must say, this had to be the best concert I’ve ever been to! The light show was phenomenal and nothing like I’ve ever seen before. I was completely blown away. Makes me wish I could’ve seen them when I was younger and when Phil would sing and play drums at the same time! Nevertheless, he and the others still did an amazing job.

  • Genesis and Phil Collins were awesome!

    by Achsah17 on 11/19/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

The stage set up and the sound system were amazing! Phil is such s great vocalist and I love that his son Nick now plays the drums in his concerts!! Loved the whole experience!

  • Genesis Chicago United Center November 16th, 2021

    by B. B. on 11/19/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I thought it was an awesome show. The band sounded great, Phil's voice was strong, and the visual show was spectacular, much better the the 2007 tour. Genesis has long been one of the best live acts out there and they did not fail to deliver. I have to admit, I was skeptical going in due to the reports of Phil Collins ongoing health issues, but this concert blew me away. The only glitch I caught was Phil briefly losing his place in the lyrics to "Domino", but he quickly recovered. Collins' son Nic did a great job drumming also, he is definitely taking after his old man.

  • The end of a era

by Big Jim on 11/19/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I know this is the last time I will see Genesis with Phil Collins. The show was great and it brought back a lot of great memories. The first time I saw them was back in 1974 when they came on stage and play an album all the way through and then said good night.

  • Wonderful!!

by MrsJ on 11/19/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

We saw them the 1st night at the United Center. The concert was wonderful. Full on from the beginning to the end. A great mix of all their hits. I missed not hearing Abacab, but I can vividly recall seeing them years ago with the two drum sets and Phil drumming away. So fun to see his son following in his footsteps. Getting to see the 3 of them plus Daryl was all I was hoping for. Try to catch a show if it's near you , you won't be disappointed.

  • Great Show

    by Leo75 on 11/19/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Our seats were good and we had a full view of the concert; Genesis was awesome and with everything going on in the world it was great to just listen to live music. Especially with a phenomenal band; Phil Collins still sounded great even at his age!

  • The best

    by A. R. on 11/19/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

It was an incredible show in Chicago. The music took center stage, but the videos / graphics were very well done. I was tearful at the end seeing Phil! Thank you for a lifetime of amazing work! #PhilCollins #Genesis

  • A Genesis Show is a Unique Experience

by Genesis Freak on 11/19/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

As the big acts of the 70s and 80s make their final rounds, Genesis continues to stand out among their peers for the complete concert experience. The breadth of their musical catalogue, the skill of their playing, the dramatic theater of the light show, the consistent precision with which they deliver their songs and the fidelity to the original recordings (40 years later!) sets them apart as a truly unique live band experience. Sure, Phil Collins vocals are weak, but we see the same thing with Rush, Crosby Still & Nash and Fleetwood Mac. It's to be expected. But the energy and the power are undimmed from what we've come to expect from a Genesis show.

  • Absolutely loved every minute of Genesis concert!!!!!!

by KM on 11/19/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert!! So exciting to see them again after so many years from the last time we saw them!

  • Terrible parking signage

by Annie on 11/19/21United Center - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

The parking signage at the United Center is so inadequate that we missed the VIP dinner. One of the most important aspects of my VIP package was the VIP parking/easy access to the venue entrance feature, due to disability. I carefully reviewed the materials sent to me, and had them printed out with me in the car. Those materials stated over and over that there would be plenty of signage for Lot K, and VIP parking signage. I saw no VIP parking signage whatsoever, nor any signage for Lot K (or any other lot.) The sign at the entrance to Lot K is blocked by a tree, so by the time we saw that it was Lot K, we were already past it. The K was a tiny, lower case k, and almost impossible to see in the dark. Because we then had to drive around the entire complex, in heavy traffic, to get back to the gate, we just missed the dinner. Very frustrating. Everything else about the venue and the experience was absolutely perfect, but that was kind of ruined by the fact that we missed the VIP dinner experience that I had paid so much money for, due to lacking and poor signage.
