About

Genesis is one of the world's biggest selling and most successful bands of all time. They have sold an estimated 100 million albums and have played to sold-out stadiums and arenas all over the world for decades.

The evolution of Genesis is unique, their sound developed and progressed throughout their career and with multiple line-up alterations in the early years, the classic line-up of Tony Banks, Phil Collins, and Mike Rutherford took shape in 1976.

'And Then There Were Three' (1978) was the first album the band released as a three-piece and spawned the single 'Follow You Follow Me' which was their first UK top ten and US top 30 single and proved to be the start of huge commercial global success. The albums 'Duke' (1980), 'Abacab' (1981), 'Genesis' (1983), 'Invisible Touch' (1986) and 'We Can't Dance' (1991) followed for the trio, alongside almost constant global stadium tours cementing the band as one of the most successful of all time.

Tony, Phil and Mike reunited again as a band in 2007 after almost 10 years for the Turn It On Again Tour which went on to be one of the biggest grossing tours on the year playing sold-out stadiums around the world.

2021 will see Genesis tour for the first time in 14 years, in North America, the UK, and Ireland.

  • Wonderful Experience!

by MichelleI on 12/15/21Nationwide Arena - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

Excellent performance by one of our favorite bands, even with aging. The seats for the arena were a tight fit for tall people! Otherwise pretty comfortable and acoustics good. Anything needed, bathrooms and food/drink was clearly indicated. One star off for confusing parking directions.

  • LOVED IT

I loved this performance! I love Genesis! They were amazing! I have always wanted to see Genesis and Phil Collins perform. I am so happy to see Phil Collins sing again. I wish Peter Gabriel was in the band. It would be nice to see him perform as well. I hope I can see them perform live again one day. I even got the best seat at MSG and hopefully down the road, I can get better seats in Madison Square Garden!

Loved the concert, but it very sad to see Phil suffering. Thank you guys for the tour. I will miss you quite a lot. Thank you Tony, Mike & Phil for your talents and making us all smile for a while.

  • Thrilled to see Genesis and the new UBS Arena

by Ted on 12/14/21UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long IslandRating: 5 out of 5

I give Phil Collins tons of credit for performing, considering his physical condition. His voice was still great. The band was fantastic, the opening of Behind The Lines, is still ringing in my head, tremendous. UBS was touted as being build to maximize the concert experience, and it definitely did that.

  • Worst concert ever !!!

by Linda on 12/14/21UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long IslandRating: 1 out of 5

Very Disappoint in Phil and the boys. They could have pulled out all the stops and had another drummer if not Chester and could have a few horns and filled to void that Phil could not cover. I’m so disappointed that he and they went out like that. That was a show just for $$$ in there pockets didn’t care about the loyal fans or any fan for that matter. I spent a lot of money to see them and I got nothing in return !!!!!!!

  • Band: great Venue: eh….

by Mixer on 12/14/21UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long IslandRating: 4 out of 5

Exceptional production - top notch lighting - Phil did an admirable job considering all he’s been through. UBS Arena could be a world class concert venue, however, it’s not there yet. The sound was murky and undefined - and this coming from one of the highest tech touring companies. MSG (finally) got it together - UBS needs to step it up and consider treatments to mitigate. Also - $50 for parking??!! Not right.

  • They still have IT!

by Dawn B on 12/14/21UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long IslandRating: 5 out of 5

This was great! My seats were awesome (section 114 row 8), Dime Club Area. Genesis put on a great show and UBSArena was a great host! I was concerned that Genesis might be getting too old...but the show was awesome...would highly recommend!

  • Great shiw

by Gp on 12/14/21UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long IslandRating: 5 out of 5

I was fortunate enough to see Genesis 13 years ago and fortunate enough to have someone give me tickets for the farewell tour. Heartwarming to see Phill perform again. The venue was great other than trying to get out of the parking lot.... that took almost an hour.

  • Last Domino in Columbus

by Drunken Beach Yeti on 12/14/21Nationwide Arena - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

Great time! Nationwide arena is set up well for concerts. The band was on and the sound was incredible! Food and drink was usual price and the lines were tolerable. T-shirt stand was off the hook, but i went during the show and got through quickly. T-shirts and other swag were a little pricey.

  • Amazing show

by Mich on 12/14/21UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long IslandRating: 5 out of 5

Lighting , sound and crowd were amazing. The staff at UBS was friendly. Clean, plenty of space and Genesis was AWESOME !!

  • Very good overall

by Iron horse on 12/14/21UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long IslandRating: 3 out of 5

The concert was great, sound, presentation and set list. However the cost was exorbitant- having to pay $50 extra for parking after paying $600+ for 2 tickets was ridiculous and absolutely just a cash grab. The parking situation leaves a lot be desired not sure how that can be rectified.

  • 4/5 Voice is stronger than the body.

by Dave M. on 12/14/21UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long IslandRating: 4 out of 5

Phil has his share of health issues. He can hardly walk, let alone dance. But he sounds terrific and his son does an admirable job on the drums in his place. Phil just sits there, but its understandable. Phil also kept calling the town where the show was is ELWOOD and the crowd kept trying to correct him ELMONT! After awhile he was like LONG ISLAND?!?! So... there's that. He's doing what he wants and many of the songs are the big hits of the 80s we all remember. It was far from a sell-out and UBS ARENA is a beautiful new venue and the staff were terrific. People should know the entire facility is CASH FREE - CARD ONLY. Completely digital.

  • Great concert

by Jacktryles on 12/14/21UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long IslandRating: 5 out of 5

It was one of the best concert I’ve ever been. I saw them twice in NYC and both were excellents shows.

  • Good show

    by T. D. on 12/13/21Rating: 3 out of 5

Great show good time only complaint is he did not a sing Phil song I know it’s a genesis show but damn ripped my hart out I did not get the big drum show for you know that one song lol

  • GOAT band, but TERRIBLE sound system at Nationwide Arena.

by CF&K for Life on 12/13/21Nationwide Arena - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

Nationwide Arena needs to update or fix its sound system. The reverb was so awful and intense that my mom and several others sitting nearby us couldn’t hear any of the music without pushing on the insides of her ears (the tragus). She/they had to do this for almost 2 1/2 hours.

  • It was awesome great show

by Maiden4life on 12/13/21UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long IslandRating: 5 out of 5

Overall the show was great , I was a little disappointed that Phil Collins didn’t sing any of her own personal songs but hey it was a genesis concert

  • Genesis was amazing!

by Goodtime on 12/13/21UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long IslandRating: 5 out of 5

The band was great! Uncle Phil was awesome! That being said I also want to acknowledge all the staff at the UBS in New York. They were all so nice and helpful! Not 1 grumpy face to be found, from the shuttle bus drivers to the bar tenders. The 1 complaint was the outrageous prices for a drink. Water bottle was $8! A beer was $17. We’re all not flush enough to pay those prices, very disappointing. Signs in venue were also confusing, but they are aware of that issue. Would definitely return to the UBS, although I will hydrate before arriving!

  • GREAT Show!

    by D.A. on 12/13/21Nationwide Arena - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great! We were a party of 4 and each one of us loved the show! Those accompanying musicians with Mike, Phil and Tony very much did their part! Each and every song they played was thoroughly enjoyed. The "acoustic" set was very enjoyable. I originally thought it would be boring. Nicholas Collins did a fantastic job! It is simply a great story that Nicholas participates in this tour!

  • Good concert but everything else expensive

by Wayeskie on 12/13/21UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long IslandRating: 3 out of 5

Show was great but 45 dollars to park really disgusting and the cost for food was just a little high bad enough you pay a lot for the tickets to the show I don’t think I’ll be going to any more shows not worth the cost at the end of the day

  • Genesis at UBS Arena

by Squonk on 12/13/21UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long IslandRating: 4 out of 5

First, UBS Arena is a great venue if you can get past the $50 parking fee which combined with the $400 per ticket price makes for a pricey night of entertainment. Genesis put on a great show highlighted by Phil Collins’ 20 year old son on the drums. He’s fantastic. Phil looks very frail and sat down the entire show due to his health issues. But he perform pretty well considering his condition. As expected from a Genesis concert the light show was amazing. They played for 2 1/2 hours. The song selection could have been better as the did not play Abacab, Misunderstanding, Illegal Alien, I’m coming after you and Squonk. Played instead Domino and other lesser popular songs which is why I give them 4 out of 5 stars.
