About

Genesis is one of the world's biggest selling and most successful bands of all time. They have sold an estimated 100 million albums and have played to sold-out stadiums and arenas all over the world for decades.

The evolution of Genesis is unique, their sound developed and progressed throughout their career and with multiple line-up alterations in the early years, the classic line-up of Tony Banks, Phil Collins, and Mike Rutherford took shape in 1976.

'And Then There Were Three' (1978) was the first album the band released as a three-piece and spawned the single 'Follow You Follow Me' which was their first UK top ten and US top 30 single and proved to be the start of huge commercial global success. The albums 'Duke' (1980), 'Abacab' (1981), 'Genesis' (1983), 'Invisible Touch' (1986) and 'We Can't Dance' (1991) followed for the trio, alongside almost constant global stadium tours cementing the band as one of the most successful of all time.

Tony, Phil and Mike reunited again as a band in 2007 after almost 10 years for the Turn It On Again Tour which went on to be one of the biggest grossing tours on the year playing sold-out stadiums around the world.

2021 will see Genesis tour for the first time in 14 years, in North America, the UK, and Ireland.

  • One of the best concerts I’ve been too

    by C. W. on 12/16/21PPG Paints Arena - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

What a fantastic night for the band who left it all on stage and gave there best with what they got. The band was tight and Nic playing the drums was extremely special for the audience and for Phil. Probably one of the best set list of any concert I’ve been too. They played there 80s classics and there 70s prog and was definitely a crowd pleaser. Overall I would give them an 11/10 and reconvened anyone to go see them since they are hinting this could be there last tour.

  • Genesis - Domino

by Rabbit on 12/16/21PPG Paints Arena - PittsburghRating: 3 out of 5

It was good big production show. I was a little disappointed they did not have a brass section, which inhibited their ability to play songs like "No reply at all" and "Paperlate." They also played a number of songs I'm sure the vast majority were not familiar with? Promoting a new album? Not sure. But all and all, a good show...

  • Great Concert

by Bob on 12/16/21PPG Paints Arena - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first Genesis concert and they were great. I'm sorry I missed them in their younger (and my) days. However, the boys were still great and played for almost 2 1/2 hours. Unheard of in most concerts today. And hats off to Nicholas Collins who is drumming for his dad and Genesis. He's is awesome!

  • Great concert, not so great seat for price

    by Twig47 on 12/16/21PPG Paints Arena - PittsburghRating: 3 out of 5

I had 4 tickets that I paid a hefty penny for. Seat location was great…except for this black box by the stage that completely blocked my view (and half the view of my husband’s)of Phil. $400 a seat to see his feet and watch the screen (which I could have done for $300+less). Luckily my parents could see him but was totally depressed on that. And that the standard ticket for seats right behind me were $250 less…hmmmm The music though was awesome - that is 5 stars. Seats were 2, thus my 3 star overview

  • He’s still got it

by JamieGisMe on 12/16/21PPG Paints Arena - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

It was wonderful to see Genesis live in what I assume will be Mr. Collins last tour. The man may be battling some health issues but his voice is as on point as ever. The venue was great, too. It felt like we were back to some “normalcy” to be watching a show.

  • Great show but we were far away

  • Great concert

by PSU 83 on 12/16/21PPG Paints Arena - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

Genesis put on a wonderful show, with a mix of older and newer songs. I'm so glad I got to experience what is likely their last tour.

  • worst concert ever

    by J. J. on 12/16/21PPG Paints Arena - PittsburghRating: 1 out of 5

felt like some one forced Phill to sing even though, he himself said he can not. Seemed like some one should be charged with elderly abuse!!

  • Amazing concert

by Angie on 12/16/21PPG Paints Arena - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

Phil Collins sang with all his heart. The band sound was amazing. Drummer rocked, he’s a true product of Phil Collins. Great experience❤️

  • Good but depressing

by Olias on 12/16/21PPG Paints Arena - PittsburghRating: 4 out of 5

Saw Phil Collins’ solo tour a while back so I’ve seen him sit in a chair before. It’s still so sad to see he’s a shadow of his former self. Difficult for me to get past that.

  • Had a good time!

by Chad on 12/16/21PPG Paints Arena - PittsburghRating: 4 out of 5

It’s unfortunate Phil is getting too old. The band was great, but Phil is sounding old. Still nice to hear those good ole songs!

  • Better than Expected…

    by Frenchiemom2 on 12/16/21PPG Paints Arena - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

I had read reviews from recent Genesis concerts. I knew Phil’s voice was different so I wasn’t expecting a great concert, but I still wasn’t going to miss my 6th time seeing my favorite group. Boy was I wrong. The first song, Behind The Lines/Duke’s End started out a little rough, but it was still good. As the show went on, Phil’s voice got better and better, and he interacted with the crowd while cracking jokes and just being Phil. And the playlist was great too. Heard some songs I wasn’t expecting but are my favorites like Lamb Lies Down On Broadway and The Carpet Crawlers, which was the last song they played. Missed that they didn’t play Ripples, but they pretty much played all of the other hits. All in all they played 23 songs and were on the stage for about 2 1/2 hours. I sure hope this wasn’t their last time touring because they were amazing.

  • The Last Domino has fallen

by Jeff B on 12/16/21PPG Paints Arena - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

The guys have aged, haven’t we all. The light display and video art display are absolutely incredible and make up for the few times the vocals weren’t perfect. They have updated the video content to stay relevant and we all loved it. Nicholas Collins is just about as great as his father was on the drums. Phil does sit for the entire song set but it only takes a little bit away from the I Can’t Dance song. If you’re a true fan you’ll love most of it. If you’re new to Genesis you may be disappointed.

I had an amazing time at this show! Genesis is absolutely amazing! I would definitely do this again! Managing tickets on my phone was a breeze! Parking, checking in and everything else was easy! Staff were wonderful too. Thank you!

  • Genesis/Columbus OH

by Chiefhawke on 12/15/21Nationwide Arena - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was great. The sound was excellent. Access to the venues was great. The seats were terrible. They are way too narrow. Very difficult to move once in seat. Some people actually left because they were so cramped.

  • Genesis fantastic!

by Mike on 12/15/21UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long IslandRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was great! The vocals and the entire band were impressive! Phil Collins still has his great voice and Mike Rutherford, Tony Banks, & everyone in the band were flawless. The guitar & keyboards were appreciated, especially on the extended play songs. Props to Phil’s son on drums and the backup singers. Everyone & everything about the performance was perfect. I hope they continue to tour and would easily see them again!

  • No Regrets

by sarahpetvet on 12/15/21Nationwide Arena - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

The last time I saw Genesis I was in the 13th row in the Municipal Stadium in Cleveland--suffice to say a LONG time ago. When I saw they had plans to tour I thought COVID would be behind us and it would be a great way to celebrate the return of concerts. I guess I was half right! What a great concert! I had forgotten how much I loved this band and their musicality. Because I didn't prep by listening to old albums, every song was a wonderful surprise--like welcoming an old friend. I didn't know how it would be without PC at the drums, but the young man who replaced him was perfection. (I only found out afterward that young man is PC's son!) After more than two hours of great song after great song, I left on cloud nine. Interesting that a number of the songs take on new meaning in the current state of the world. Thank you for an awesome evening!

  • Concert was fine, entrance was horrible

by No Nickname on 12/15/21Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

I had a stressful situation attending the Genesis concert in Toronto on November 26th. The Ticketmaster App was working fine for several days leading up to the concert, but when I got to the venue (Scotia Bank Arena), I could no longer access my bar-code. When I tried to sign into the app, it went to a black screen and stayed there. I checked all settings on my phone and they seemed fine. I thought I'd try using the venue free wi-fi (had to sign up), but I still got the result of a black screen. I went to the ticket office and "they couldn't do anything even though I showed a receipt of my purchase". Because of your decision to go all digital with "no print ticket option", they could not help me. One of the workers suggested logging in through the web instead of the app, but that didn't work either. I tried using support on your webpage, but all that was available was email support. Oddly from your support page, somehow I was able to log in from there and navigate to the bar-code. To this day, I'm not sure why it worked from there, but not by going through the normal sign in channel. Once I got the bar-code on my phone I didn't dare navigate away from that page in fear of losing it, so for the next hour I had to walk around with my phone on that page until they allowed access to the venue. So bottom line, "let us print our tickets at home" or allow us to download a PDF file to the phone (vaccine proof allows this). This was a very stressful situation that almost prevented me from seeing the concert. I don't want to hear anything about how all digital is more secure and prevents scalping because if you were really concerned about that, you wouldn't allow price markups on reselling. Please be reasonable and allow at home printing or downloading a PDF file in the future. As you can see, if something goes wrong with the phone or app, there is no way to get into the concert and we just wasted a lot of time & money (about $230 in this case).

  • parking !!!

by Will n Patti on 12/15/21UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long IslandRating: 4 out of 5

Genesis was awesome. Parking at UBS at Belmont park is very challenging. It's expensive, and not well thought out. Tough to get into the lots, tough and a free for all to get out. Then once in, you have a very long walk or a long wait to a shuttle bus. I hope they can fix that.
