"I ain't really happy," sings Gary Allan on "Get Off on the Pain," the down-home masterstroke that begins and provides the name for his new MCA Nashville collection, "until the sky starts driving rain." Unhesitatingly frank, mercilessly guitar-crazed, it's the rocked-out country confession of a smart guy drawn to what the rest of the world calls wrong roads and long shots, or complains of as aching bones and stubbornness, or — as Allan sings in a spectacular stretch of drawn-out soulful vowels — underestimates as dark horses. And as the California-born superstar releases his eighth studio album, it's about the most Gary Allan piece anyone could imagine.

Gary definitely didn't disappoint!!! LOVE hearing him sing!!!
Only complaint, start on time please, but otherwise, great hearing Gary again, been awhile, great show, look forward to seeing him again sometime
This is my 2nd time seeing Gary in concert. He is always moving and giving the fans the best of himself. Worth every cent. Next time, though, maybe VIP!!
concert was awesome , the general admission was mostly standing in the grass on a very steep hillside alot of the flat grassy areas were off limit to sit , would have been nice to be able to bring fold up lawn chairs to sit on in the flat areas .
Need stronger Wi-Fi and waited in line for beer& food for an hour and 30 minutes.. The concert itself was terrific and Gary Allan never disappoints!!!!
Gary Allan put on an awesome show at an awesome venue. I have been a long time fan, and this show did not disappoint. I only wish it had lasted longer! I would definitely love to do it again!
Gary put on a great show. The venue and setting were beautiful, however with just a few minor adjustments and accommodations would make it so much more enjoyable for everyone. Had to wait almost entire 45 minutes between shows for a beer, seriously, how hard is it to set up another beer tent or 2? The bathroom facilities for the platinum area seating had one urinal, who in their right mind would think that's enough to accommodate that many people drinking, again, How hard is it to have 3 or 4 additional urinals, space was not a problem. These minor inconveniences took away from a perfect night in perfect show. Which could easily be remedied.
First time seeing Gary and he did not disappoint!! Great showman who played all our favorites & brought the crowd right into the performance! We will definitely go again soon!
Great show. We love seeing Gary Allan at Bluesville
Gary Allan really put on a show. He sang just one great song after another. And his band was made up of really talented musicians. All in all it was a great date night. Already thinking about next year.
Loved the show! Great venue! Will try to catch another show in the future.
Awesome show! He and his band put on a great performance. His still got his vocals. Although he didn’t sing one of my favorites. “Get off on the pain”.
Gary always puts on a great concert!! The best!!!
Gary still kills it. I wish some of these big award shows would still include him from time to time. He sang so many hits that took me back time!
As long as here keeps coming back, we will keep going!!!!!!!!
We don’t get a lot of chances to see Gary been a fan for over 20+ years. We live in rural WV so we try to go to shows within a 6-7 hour drive. We went to the show I was so excited every show has been so much fun!! I laugh and smile the entire time but Jim tharpe venue layout was terrible. I purchased floor reserved seating row 2 right in front of the middle of the stage. I couldn’t hardly contain myself with excitement. The area is beautiful the trip was long but great. There was a pit area roped off in front of the reserved floor seating. The pit was right in front of the RESERVED SEATING. PIT WAS ON FLOOR LEVEL SMACK DAB IN FRONT OF US. I didnot get to see any of the show. No joke nothing. At Show time a man every bit 6’8” stood directly in front of us. He blocked the view of the entire shade. I’ve been to a lot of concerts in my days but have never been anywhere where the pit was same level of reserved seating. We sat they stood and danced and watched the show and all of us in the reserved floor seating who paid a lot of money to be close to ale sure to see the show didn’t get to see anything. I’ve never heard of the pit area just an area where people stood in front of reserved seating. I loved listening to the music but all we saw was a man’s back for an hour and half. I was so disappointed. Not only do I feel cheated I really was. Penn’s peak definitely needs to look into another venue layout. Don’t waste your time or money buying reserved floor seating. I’d love to go back but not sure I’d take the chance. I paid and wanted to see a Gary Allan show not to just listen to one.
we are Gary Allen fans have been to many shows. The drums were way too loud. You couldn’t even hear Gary. It was very disappointing experience. This is the second time at Ottumwa. The sound has been terrible.
Great show! The venue is one of the best. Not a bad seat anywhere. Gary's show was amazing.
What a great night! The concert was absolutely amazing. Every song sounded great, I didn't want it to end. Gary puts on a great show!
I have always wanted to see him. The last two times he was near I was out of town. But, it was well worth it. Three of the four of us got pics. It was a great show and I will go again. Absolutely love him. The venue is also very nice.
