About

"I ain't really happy," sings Gary Allan on "Get Off on the Pain," the down-home masterstroke that begins and provides the name for his new MCA Nashville collection, "until the sky starts driving rain." Unhesitatingly frank, mercilessly guitar-crazed, it's the rocked-out country confession of a smart guy drawn to what the rest of the world calls wrong roads and long shots, or complains of as aching bones and stubbornness, or — as Allan sings in a spectacular stretch of drawn-out soulful vowels — underestimates as dark horses. And as the California-born superstar releases his eighth studio album, it's about the most Gary Allan piece anyone could imagine.

  • Fantastic!

Gary Allan is a phenomenal singer. He is a truly talented man. His songs tell stories, which I like. He keeps the crowd on their feet and looking forward to the next time he's close by. This is my fourth time seeing him and I can't wait for the next show.

  • Weird

We have seen Gary allan in various venues several times. This was by far the strangest show. The crowd was lacking they didn't stand at all. We believe that Gary felt the lack luster crowd and did not engage and flew through his setlist. This was the shortest concert we have seen. My husband and I had a great time regardless however we could tell the artist was not feeling the crowd.

Always love going to The Civic! Not a bad seat in the whole house!

  • Loud but worth it

by Lusada on 10/21/24Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Enjoyed Mark McKay as opening act. Gary Allan was amazing, singing all my favorites and loved he honored the memory of Kris Kristofferson. Music was a bit too loud for my taste as it was difficult to hear the lyrics. Overall 4.5 star experience.

  • Awesome

by Photobugg on 6/20/24The Amp at Log Still - GethsemaneRating: 5 out of 5

Gary Allan was fantastic. At first it didn't sound like him but after a song or two he sounded like hisself. His first song he sang he sounded hoarse but it looked like he was using throat spray and that helped because he sounded great after that. He sure does know how to entertain!

  • Gary Allen was awesome, the Amp venue was not

by Early bird on 6/16/24The Amp at Log Still - GethsemaneRating: 2 out of 5

No room to sit. Larg VIP area with 4 people in it, wasted space. Over sold the venue. Everything was way over priced. $4 for a can of sprite. Get there early and bring your pay check.

  • Amazing

by Ashley on 6/12/24The Amp at Log Still - GethsemaneRating: 5 out of 5

Gary Allan was absolutely amazing, he sang all his hits and more, was very interactive with the audience. The venue was beautiful outside venue literally cows grazing in the field beside it. The staff was awesome and very nice, I was an ADA ticket holder so parking was great and not too much walking as my legs are the issue. My only issue was I wish the venue would figure out something different with the ADA seating arrangement, we had people in GA section who was supposed to be sitting on blankets stand the whole time and there was people in my section that couldn’t stand up to see, another patron asked them to either sit or stand off to the side just a little so the people in wheelchairs could see and the refused. They then asked security to speak to them and they ignored security also. They were rude and disrespectful. So some of the people in my section only got to hear the show not see the show. It was a little disappointing to the wheelchair people who absolutely couldn’t stand or walk. That was my only issue with the venue.

  • Great performance!

by Reeree on 6/11/24The Amp at Log Still - GethsemaneRating: 4 out of 5

The show was amazing- all of the songs you can imagine/want to hear, an encore performance and 100% given by the artist. Fan interaction was great! My only complaints were with the venue itself- the long drink lines and only having 3 ladies restrooms for the entire lower lawn.

  • Amazing

Took my grandson who is 17. We had the best time ever. Weather was nice, the crowd was good. The show was amazing. Will definitely visit again.
