"I ain't really happy," sings Gary Allan on "Get Off on the Pain," the down-home masterstroke that begins and provides the name for his new MCA Nashville collection, "until the sky starts driving rain." Unhesitatingly frank, mercilessly guitar-crazed, it's the rocked-out country confession of a smart guy drawn to what the rest of the world calls wrong roads and long shots, or complains of as aching bones and stubbornness, or — as Allan sings in a spectacular stretch of drawn-out soulful vowels — underestimates as dark horses. And as the California-born superstar releases his eighth studio album, it's about the most Gary Allan piece anyone could imagine.

Wonderful the best time! He’s a great performer and puts on a great show. One of my all time favorite artists ❤️❤️ will see him every chance I get
great show that would have been much better without the group around me being over served with alcohol !
Gary is always amazing! However, he was the BEST! Maybe it’s because he’s married and happy, but he was so into singing and playing and interacting with the audience like I’ve never seen him! It was truly a concert to remember! I also appreciated his dedication of “Life Ain’t Always Beautiful” to Big Dog Daddy - Toby Keith!
This is my 4th time seeing him in concert and it's never a disappointment just wish he had meet and greets.
This was a great show! Gary Allen brought down the house in Florence S.C.! He sang nearly nonstop throughout the entire show. He hit on some newer stuff and played several of his old favorites! Great Concert and well worth the money spent. Would definitely go see him again if he was close by in the future.
The show was awesome venue was great wait time in beer line was very low
We have seen Gary Allan many, many times and he never disappoints!! If you get the chance go see him! You won’t be sorry!!!
Gary Allan’s show at MGM Northfield was one of his better shows in recent memory. We see him every time he comes near the Cleveland area. We’ve even traveled as far as 3 states to see him. But the energy this year was better than most in the past few years. It would be an amazing feat if beer and wine prices were dropped a couple bucks. All that aside, it was an amazing night.
I love to see Gary Allen. He always puts on an awesome show. Mark Mackay does a wonderful job as an opening act. The MGM Northfield venue is fantastic to see a show. I don't think you could have a bad seat. Highly recommend both musical acts and the venue! If Gary would add "Sorry"to the set list it would be chef's kiss!
I have been a fan of Gary Allan since 1998. Love his show. I try to go when he is on my area. This is the first one at MGM where I was up front. Bought the tickets for myself for my birthday. Brought a friend who didn't know of him. She was playing his music in the car on the way home. Always love his performance.
We thought the concert was the worst show we have been to. The music we thought muted the sound of the singer. We left early
He was amazing! What a wonderful time and there's no bad seats at the MGM.
Not what it used to be…he’s been much better. Didn’t play a lot of his old songs and for the money I don’t think it’s worth seeing him again…
I have loved every time we have seen Gary Allan in concert! San Antonio, South Padre Island, Corpus Christi…. Anxiously awaiting next date in Texas!
It was such a great show. He did an amazing job!! I could have stayed and listened for hours longer.
I didn't realize the sound by the stage would be so bad. Other than that, though, it was a good show
Gary Allan was awesome, what a great concert it was.
He was great sounds the same in person just amazing!!!!!!!!!
The seats were amazing. The sound was just off a little. It was still better then the last time I saw Gary ( the sound was so bad o couldn’t here the singing over the music)
Gary put on an excellent show. He is a great singer and definitely is a great entertainer. Highly recommend his show!!!
