I've been to a lot of gospel concerts, but this was the best by far. They put on a great show !
A most excellent performance to all the artist who performed at the Patriot Center. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire show from beginning to end. The Spirit of God was definitely in that place. Just Awesome! Looking forward to the next time your in the Maryland/DC/VA area. May God bless Bill and Gloria Gaither and all your homecoming friends as you continue to lift His name in praise for all the world to see.
There are no words to express how I love hearing David Phelps sing live...The vocal band harmonies are amazing and Mark Lowery is certainly a hoot. Enjoyed!!!! Wish it would be an entire show of just the vocal band! GMU was easy to find...however, once on the campus the Patriot Center was not...nothing is marked on this campus!
We took our children and grand-children to this production, which people tend to think is for "older folks." However, our twelve year olds had a great time. The show is inspirational, the singers and performers are so very talented - and nothing happens that makes you want to hide your face! Southern gospel fans may be dying out - but from the crowd last Saturday night, it sure wasn't apparent. I would put The Issacs, Buddy Green and others up against any popular professional singers or groups. They are all truly, truly fabulous! Oh, yes - Mark Lowry and Buddy Green wrote the words and lyrics for the killer Christmas song, "Mary Did You Know?" the Gaither group is not at all stingy with their time, and played a good three hours or more. It was wonderful.
I had an awesome time at this show. Almost 4 hours of entertainment that was very inspiring and reminds us to "keep CHRIST in Christmas!!!"
We really enjoyed the Gaithers. We watch them on TV each Saturday night. Mark Lowery was great too! We enjoyed the harmonica player a lot too! It was all good!
This was a very uplifting concert. All of the artists were top caliber and gave excellent performances. There was a good variety but the GVB is still the best.
The last hour "sing along" was not a sing along. Would have liked to hear more of the familiar songs or words on the screen.
We love the southern gospel music. The artists and the acts are always top quality and we love the humor that they always add in between. They are always so well organized and they keep us entertained every moment of the concert. Great job Bill Gaither!! : )
We liked the format of fewer performers but more numbers from each group. As always the music was worshipful and splendedly rendered.Just a great evening.
We have seen the Gaithers before at the Patriot Center and each time we are amazed at the incredible talents of each performer! Our observation was the same on December 3rd. The performers are so good. What a show!
Growing up, my best friend's family was full of old country musicians and all family gatherings were full of gospel and blue grass music and dancing. I feel so blessed to have been able to participate in those gatherings growing up, and the show brought back so many happy memories. In fact, we surprised my best friend by taking her and her parents to that show to celebrate her birthday. I even managed to get her a happy birthday wish from David Phelps, her favorite vocalist! We all had a great time!
The concert was wonderful. It had just the right blend of Christmas and regular music. What a great way to start off the holiday season. Thank you so much for coming back to Fairfax!!
Great concert--almost like being in their home with friends dropping by. Started 5-10 minutes early and it never stopped for 2.5 hours. Took a 20-minute break and it was back at full throttle for another hour or so.
Bill Gaither is a genius -- God has used him to bring us the BEST music, the most AMAZING talent with the ONLY message that really counts in life. The Gaither Vocal Band is comprised of the best of the best....the Martins just can't be beat....the Isaacs are incredible....Kevin Williams and Mark Lowry are so gifted with comedic talent and musical genius....I could go on & on....All I can say is, if you haven't been to a Gaither Homecoming concert, you don't know what you're missing!!!
It was a Saturday night and my lovely wife and I had a date to go to ths homecoming it was our first one we had tickets that were up to high so after the first song I went down and upgraded my tickets they had two more on the floor and ten rows back I know the Lord was with me! So I bought them, then I went to tell my wife and we moved down to the most fantastic time together at a concert we have ever had. We can't wait till next year because we are coming back .
Nothing could have been better. Well, except we very much missed some that are in heaven and no longer with us......And, we really missed Ivan Parker! Williams was a hoot when he teased Bill!
The show was amazing I liked so much. I could enjoy every moment!
We are never disappointed with the Gaither Concerts, everyone that we have attended was great and this one exceeded our expectations.
This. Was my third time going to a Gaither concert and it was my least favorite. It just did not seem that it was done with the gusto they usually have. If this were my first I probably would just check it off my list and not return
