Gabor Maté Tickets

I think Gabor Mate's work is amazing however my experience at the lecture could have been better. Primarily because throughout the presentation it was difficult to hear what he was saying because Gabor speaks in a low tone, the mic wasn't close enough to his mouth and the audio wasn't loud enough. Some attendees verbally shouted for him to speak up because they couldn't hear him.

What an experience, so much high-quality information shared. Wonderful demonstrations and pictures, as well as copies of the books he was selling with a few that were signed. I would absolutely come here to watch him speak again.

This is the best session I could have attended. He slowly and patiently lays down examples of his own life and his patients and how understanding what causes them stress has contributed to the diseases (dis-ease/ un-ease) they’re in hospital for. He’s a trained medical doctor who states that no healthcare system in the world trains or teaches doctors about how STRESS or emotional health is a big contributor to a human’s well being - both mentally and physically … and tactics/tools to use to be more aware of our triggers and how to reduce stress accumulating in our bodies. I hope there’s a recording of his lectures coz I want to listen to them all!

Dr. Gabor Maté delivered an incredibly insightful and moving experience. His vulnerability and relatability made his words resonate deeply, offering profound reflections on human nature, trauma, and healing. His storytelling was nothing short of masterful—captivating, poignant, and effortlessly engaging. I would absolutely love the opportunity to see him again!

Gabor Mate was great, 5 stars. However, when you attend an event like Gabor Mate's, you expect an environment that allows for deep focus and reflection, not distractions from late arrivals and background noise, therefore 3 star rating. There was a lot of obstructions such as issues with sound/microphone and late arrivals being admitted even an hour after the event have started!? There was a constant noise and people walking up and down, the ushers escorting late arrivals all the way to the seating while engaging in conversations and so on. It should be quite normal to close the door at some point, anyone interested in hearing a speaker would've arrived on time or at least within 15 min delay, but one hour?! This was not a concert but a lecture, event where you come to listen to the speaker, not listen to the people walking, chewing and chatting. Therefore, I hope the experience could be improved for future events of this type. Thank you.

I booked tickets hoping for an inspiring lecture, but it was nothing of the sort. The lecture started with technical difficulties which did not help. Gabor Mate was very boring and uninteresting. He spoke a little about his childhood trauma but never actually told us how he addressed it. Based on what he said that evening, I think he has a lot more work to do on himself. I would certainly not take advice from someone who has not done the inner work himself.
