    Furthur on down the road

by weirguy on 10/8/13Greek Theatre - Los Angeles

once again, the band is in fine form with great interplay between Phil and Jeff and John. Even Bobby took some solos here and there. More importantly, Bobby's voice was in fine fettle, with some lovely renditions of the quieter tunes. The guests were also good with an awesome version of “across the universe”... a great show.

    Another great show

by JuniorBirdsong on 10/8/13Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - Berkeley

Even better location this show, crisp and more up tempo that night before, loved the Mission, Birdsong --> Passenger. Tight ticket, full venue but worth the 4 hour wait in line to get the most awesome seats. Thanks to everyone for passing the time so well.

    The Wheel still turning

by ModShopper on 10/8/13Greek Theatre - Los Angeles

Sad The Wheel wasn't in set list but every other song that was, was good. With Further there is no time passing. The spirit of Jerry, Pigpen and all the sisters and brothers who have been a part of this music lives on. Always good to see the the tie dye come out. Thanks Phil and Bob the music is more better and more relevant than everlasting

    Dead Furthur than ever

by directfitz on 10/8/13Greek Theatre - Los Angeles

My first show was 67 St. Louis Armory. Don't know how many I have been too. All I know is it is not enough. These shows were THE most perfect I have ever heard. And the Greek is a national treasure.

Saturday show was over the top. Further killed it!

by pammyoz on 10/8/13Greek Theatre - Los Angeles

Went Saturday and Sunday at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. After enjoying the parking lot goodies (tie dye shirts and home made art), I went into the show. The Saturday show was brilliant. The Sunday show was eclectic and fun. Especially liked Phil singing "Pride of Cucamonga." Lots of long jams - psychedelic - Just as I like it!

Could not believe old songs they played. Even though much time has passed, these memories will last a lifetime. What a wonderful, magical night!! Missing you Norm...

    Furthur Rocked the Crowd.

by RAESQ on 10/8/13Greek Theatre - Los Angeles

Fabulous renditions of iconic Grateful Dead material. First set was great, second set had a couple of mid-song jams that were a bit repetitive, but nonetheless transitioned into great openings for the next song. Heard lots of people raving about the concert, some said the last 35 minutes were the best music they ever heard.

Excellent last show of the tour

by Winks13 on 10/8/13Greek Theatre - Los Angeles

Weir and Lesh were on top of their game! For a couple of guys in their late sixties, early seventies, they can show some of these younger artists a thing or two about true musicianship. Jeff Chiamenti, John Kadlecik, and Joe Russo brought an energy and fast pace to staple GD songs like Music Never Stopped, Saint Stephen, Cumberland Blues and Truckin', and Sunshine Becker and Jeff Pehrson added some great harmonies with their background singing. The place started jumping when the first chord of Music Never Stopped started, and didn't stop until the final note of Brokedown Palace. The band is taking a year off after a quick show in Mexico in January, so it was apt that they ended the tour with Brokedown Palace and Weir belting out Fare you well, fare you well, I love you more than words can tell" Hopefully this won't be the end and we see more of these guys in 2015

Furthur cranking it out one more time

Not heaven, but close enough to pretend

by 52elguapo on 10/8/13Greek Theatre - Los Angeles

If you loved the Dead you are going to go to the Furthur shows and enjoy regardless of reviews. So better to review for those not in the know. Furthur includes two of the original Dead members with some younger great musicians. With respect to the legacy they still create and recreate magic moments. Amazing jams launched from old songs with new twists for adoring fans. Furthur as enjoyable as they are becomes a cubic zirconium of the real diamonds which proceeded. They never are as quite as amazing, or bad as the Dead could be. Friday night show was good, Saturday was fantastic. If you loved it in the past, go. If you haven't seen them but like Phish, Moe, Widespread, Left Over Salmon or even DMB then go and pay your respect to the Godfathers of jam bands while you can.

    "Furthur" Hot as ever

by dedhed95 on 10/7/13Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

Furthur came on late for the show but made up for it with their outstanding music. They were hot as they are in every show! That was my last 2 shows of the year. Hoping to get a call that there will be an opening for their 4 show event in Mexico. That would be a blast. Have met Bob Weir years ago & I would really would like to meet Phil Lesh. They are the backbone of Furthur! Keeping my fingers crossed for Mexico & that they'll be touring in 2015. But I know Ratdog & Phil Lesh & Friends will be playing in '14!
