  • Excellent one of a kind show

by The Greens on 3/22/23The Theater Center - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

My family and I came along on Saturdays show, it was absolutely hilarious. My mum, sister and I are huge fans of Friends and adored the whole set up. It was very intimate and felt personal to the audience. My dad hasn’t been a huge friends fan but still laughed the entire way throughout the show. Thank you so much and hats off to Chandler who played about 5 parts!

  • O...M...G

by C Bong on 3/20/23The Theater Center - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Friends musical parody off-Broadway. Could it BE any more NY? Definitely feels like the kind of production you'd see at a Fringe Festival. Props to the Chandler actor who played literally every side character, he was the main character of the night lol. If you love Friends, go see it. If you don't love Friends, see it anyway. And then go watch Friends. It's only 10 seasons.

  • Cringeworthy money grab for tourists

by Kat on 3/1/23The Theater Center - New YorkRating: 1 out of 5

Not wanting to stand in line for half price tickets we foolishly decided to see this show, thinking, a parody of FRIENDS?? How bad could it be? If half the audience skipping out during intermission gives u any indication of the answer, well there u have it. First off, be warned this is Not a true parody unless u consider having Ross repeat the word “pivot” adnauseum during the course of the production or Chandler proposing to Monica with a heartfelt love song parody. Of course, the best parodies are written about earnest stories (ie, The Brady Bunch) as they are ripe for material. A parody about a comedy is a whole different animal and at the least would require some kind of wit. Unfortunately, this show has none. It was painful to watch the poor actors say/sing their lines and can only imagine what they said to each other after the show. Hopefully, they are being paid well as their voices and impersonations of the cast were spot on. If this show was labeled, “Friends the musical” minus the parody we wouldn’t have felt so ripped off. Just be warned if u are looking for a laugh or even a mild chuckle this is not it!!!! Afterwards I read a review about the creators of these money grabs who wrote their first “parody” about Saved By the Bell in college when they were stoned. Perhaps, that’s the way to go for this show.

  • Disappointed

by Leo on 2/8/23The Theater Center - New YorkRating: 1 out of 5

This was my first “off broadway” show, I guess I expected too much. I’m a huge friends lover and thought it would be funny, but instead found myself wanting to leave at the intermission. The costumes/wigs looked like they were thrown on from the dollar store, characters had no similarities to the original cast, other than the girl playing Rachel. Next time go for the “broadway” show.

The musical was good. The theater needs a makeover.

  • The Friends Parody is great!

by Gary on 12/31/22The Theater Center - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The Friends Parody in NYC is great! My whole family couldn't stop laughing at the spoofs of iconic moments. The original songs are also very funny.

  • Fun

by MP on 12/29/22Rating: 5 out of 5

I went to the Wednesday afternoon, 12/28/22 performance. I had no idea what to expect. The theater was small and ideal. I could feel the energy from the actors. Their mannerisms of the Friends characters were dead on. Very funny performance. I highly recommend seeing it.

  • Funny and Entertaining

    by J. Irizarry on 12/25/22Rating: 5 out of 5

Bought tickets for the family. They have watched every episode on TV as a result thoroughly enjoy the musical. The characters, acting, and skit was witty and entertaining.

  • Surprised, and surprising

by Bert Ellis on 12/24/22Rating: 5 out of 5

We went to the theater... it was small, which turned out to be ideal. Our tickets were on the front row, which meant the cast had to watch our feet. The cast was great. It was a parody...a parody it was. It isnt Shakespeare, its Friends, and its a great little play. Fun fun fun.

  • Awful production

by Theater lover on 12/21/22The Theater Center - New YorkRating: 1 out of 5

We were excited to see a musical parody of a show we know backward and forward. The writing was okay, but the cast was awful. Each performer could either not sing or not act… and in some cases (Joey and Monica) could do neither. We commented that we have been to high school productions with more talent. Sigh

  • AWESOME

by John G on 11/1/22The Theater Center - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I'm not the biggest fan of the show, yet I was surprisingly entertained and very impressed by this production. It was obviously written by someone who really loves the show. My wife loved it!

  • Very disappointed

by Ada on 10/7/22The Theater Center - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5

The characters did not look anything like the characters on TV they did not sound like the characters on TV it seems like a very amateur acting play definitely not worth the money I saw Moulin Rouge on Broadway for the same price no comparison

  • Great

by Iyar on 8/19/22The Theater Center - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

  • Very cute!

by Keith B on 7/27/22The Theater Center - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Just a lot of fun. Cast was excellent with great voices. Mannerisms were well copied and they poked a lot of fun at a lot of characters. A very enjoyable experience.

  • Awesome, better than expected!

by Sandy on 7/26/22The Theater Center - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

It’s a parody, so funny and exaggerated.. great cast.. Phoebe was amazing! If you are a Friends fan prepare for a great evening full of laughs. Theatre is small, so you capture all the faces and mannerisms.. singing was great!

  • Worth it

by Red-haired Mermaid on 7/26/22The Theater Center - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Definitely didn't know what to expect. It was a last minute birthday gift and it was worth it. You'll laugh the whole time.
