Did not start on time - Seemed to be drawn out to fill time - semi redundant. Kids enjoyed it except for the wait at the beginning. Little more variety would have been good for adults.

    Gravity Slashers Not So Good

by Negative on 1/3/10Time Warner Cable Arena - Charlotte

The show was supposed to start at 7pm. It didn't start until about 7:40pm. This was our first Freestryle Motocross, so maybe I didn't know what to expect. There was a lot of talking and not a lot of show. It seemed the riders did the same stunts over and over again, with the exception of JJ. He was the only driver that could do a backwards flip. Probably wouldn't pay $30.00 per ticket to see again.

    Fun but not incredible

by TraxStar on 1/3/10Time Warner Cable Arena - Charlotte

Gravity Slashers was a fun, family event. The bikes weren't too loud for small children and they definitely entertained them. However, if you aren't taking your kids or if you are looking for a truly exhilarating MX experience you should probably stick with SuperCross. The freestyle MX was not as daring as some would expect. Only one guy did back flips which is kind of a staple these days. The riders were very fun to watch when they were trying to get cheers from the crowd (especially the Redneck and his captain morgan trick) but there was definitely a lack of truly daring stunts. The trials guy was awesome! He was the highlight of the show and is extremely talented on his bike. They are lucky they have him in the show because that was the only time that I was truly impressed. The 50/50 BMX riders were very good with their stunts and did a lot of backflips but one of the freestyle ramps was blocking half of their quarter-pipe so I could only see half of their routine unless I craned my neck to watch on the jumbo screen. All in all the show was entertaining, especially for small children, but does not have a lot of big stunts. Perhaps that was because it was their first show after the off-season, which a lot of the riders mentioned, but maybe they should practice a lot beforehand so they are prepared to bust out the big tricks for every show. The rider who was flipping also said that some of the others can flip too they just weren't and he wasn't sure why. Not really a good thing to say when people have paid money to see them... they should always be doing the big stunts for every show.

Gravity Slashers was a real let down!

by Anonymous on 1/3/10Time Warner Cable Arena - Charlotte

Bottom line... boring! Not much of a show. We were expecting to see more flips and just overall more of a performance. For our group, who are experienced motorcycle riders, it was just really elementary. We left before the show was finished. It just didn't keep our attention and was a real disappointment.

    Had a Blast!!!

by Don68 on 1/3/10Time Warner Cable Arena - Charlotte

I went to the show with my son inlaw. Neither of us have ever been to one of the shows before and we had a blast. I was a little disappointed that none of the other riders could do the back flip with their bikes like the guy that had won the show. I suppose that was what had set him apart from the others. I will return to another show and recommend to my friends. We were very impressed with the new arena and the hospitality of the workers there.

    not so great experience

by mtrcp on 1/3/10Time Warner Cable Arena - Charlotte

lets see, the show started 30 minutes late then after each rider did a few tricks they had to stop and chat with the announcer. These guys did some amazing stunts the kids loved but the rediculous talking with every rider after every turn was a waste of time. It made the whole event drag on while we all waited to see what we came for- to see the guys RIDE.

    ehh, alright

by ncmotoman on 1/3/10Time Warner Cable Arena - Charlotte

Very small show. No big names and only one guy was flipping. Great for young kids, not so much for youth and adults.

    Freestyle Mototrcross..Gravity Slashers

by wej3 on 1/3/10Time Warner Cable Arena - Charlotte

My boys..that includes my husband, went to see this event for the 1st time. They have not stopped talking about it. The seats they got were terrific and I ordered them online through Ticketmaster. I was not sure what they would be but the boys said they were perfect. As for the show itself...they were mezmorized, amazed, and entertained the whole time. Here is the icing on the cake. I used to work for a major league sports team. My husband and I are surprised now a days at how players no longer take the time to sign autographs and spend time with these kids who come to see them and look up to them. This show was NOT the case. My boys waited for a few short minutes to meet the "motorcross guys" as they call them, and got autographs, high fives, and memories that will last them a lifetime. Thank you "motorcross guys" for making my boys night so special from start to finish. Neither of my boys ride motorcycles...YET!... and they had the best time. I would recommend this event for anyone! Thanks again!
