Frankie Valli is best known as the frontman of The Four Seasons and stood out from contemporary singers for his unique falsetto vocals. Rising to fame in the ‘60s, Frankie Valli is still going strong as a solo artist 50 years later.
With The Four Seasons, Valli had 29 hit singles that reached the Top 40 and as a solo artist he added a further nine Top 40 hits. The first hit for the band was “Sherr,” which went to No. 1 in 1962. Frankie's first solo hit, “Can't Take My Eyes Off You,” which was to become his signature song, was released in 1967. Frankie and the band continued to have hits throughout the ‘60s and ‘70s. In 1978 Frankie was back with a big hit, performing the title track to the iconic film Grease, which became a favorite all over the world.
Throughout their career from the ‘60s to the mid-‘70s, The Four Seasons released around 20 albums, but many more compilation and collection albums were to be released over the years. A further 10 albums were released by Valli as a solo artist, the most recent of which was Romancing the 60s, released in 2007. Valli has continued to perform and tour throughout the decades, and continues to collaborate with other artists. As recently as 2010 Valli recorded a duet with Juice Newton, “The Biggest Part of Me,” which was released as a track on Newton's Duets: Friends & Memories album. Despite a very distinguished and long-standing career, Frankie Valli wasn't to make his debut on Broadway until 2012 when he performed in a week-long concert.
For a career that has spanned half a century, it’s difficult to list all the awards and acclaim Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons have won. It‘s testament to their success that in 1990 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and that they entered the Vocal Group Hall of Fame a further nine years later. The popularity of some of their recordings has stood the test of time among fans and artists who have followed them down the years. Some 200 artists have made their own cover versions of “Can't Take My Eyes Off You” alone. As if being immortalized in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame wasn't enough, the life and careers of Frankie and The Four Seasons became the subject of the globally successful musical Jersey Boys in 2005. The show went on to win six Tony Awards and continues to tour today, stopping at the likes of the Old National Centre and other nationally acclaimed venues.
Frankie Valli and his band were spectacular! 5/5 Stars.
We've seen Frankie Valli many many times, and he still sounds great. His band is first rate, and the crowd still loves him.
Frankie was excellent. Can’t believe he’s 89 years old! Sang for an hour fifteen minutes with no breaks. Hopefully he comes back again! Love love loved it!
Such an Amazing show! Enjoyed it with my Grandmother and she enjoyed it as much as I did!
Great show. Frankie Valli was great. Still sounds amazing.
This concert did not disappoint! Before I get into the actual concert portion, let me just first say that the crowd was 10/10! Amazing crowd! Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons did not disappoint at all. I grew up listening to oldies music and this has always been a dream of mine. It was an amazing show from beginning to end!
Great show and performances. I saw Frankie and the crew 4 years ago and they are still going strong. Blessings to Frankie as he continues to be a showman.
I really enjoy this performance! I love the music and I’ve seen him perform three times! I’m sorta sad that he is retiring but I can understand why he’s doing it! If he ever does come back to perform I hope he does a show in the Boston area! God bless Frankie and to quote you on one of your favorite songs bye bye baby! I wish you nothing but good health and happiness
The concert hall is beautiful and the music was great. Thirteen band members worked so great together. Always love seeing Frankie Valli every year. Concert was a half hour late in getting started. No idea why.
it was an amazing ,he put on a tremendous show for being 92, did most of his old songs
Love Frankie and was looking forward to this concert. He was supposed to start at 8pm and I had a trains schedule to adhere, so I was very disappointed that he did not start until 8:30. I was only able to see one hour of the show and had to leave or I would have been stuck in Boston. Did not get to hear his big hits as I'm sure he was saving them for the finale. Other than that, he looked good and sounded great and his band was fabulous. Should have gotten a rebate on the ticket for not getting all what I paid for
I am so happy that I got a chance to see Frankie Valli last Saturday night he put on a wonderful show he still has it after all these years. Thank you
Great show Frankie was great. We had great seats. My first time at the Wang. Very nice
Frankie Valle at 89 still hitting high notes, his performance was extra ordinary. So glad we ventured out during the monsoon in Boston.
We had excellent seats. Sound was great! People were very accommodating. Love Frankie, loved the show!
I took my daughter to see Frankie Valli for the 5th time on Saturday, March 23. She was not disappointed! She sang every word to every song and laughed at Frankie’s corny jokes. We made a bet what the first song would be and she won. She might have not been the youngest in the crowd but she was certainly ONE of the youngest. YES, we enjoyed seeing Frankie Valli!
Frankie Valli and the 4 seasons were fabulous!!! Frankie still has an amazing voice!!!! Loved it!!!!
Frankie Valli is an Icon , An American Treasure. The Music was great. Each Individual on stage was the best in my lifetime of 73 years. Frankie Valli is great and he surrounds himself with the best. I wish the concert was longer.
Two hours worth of musical genius. The entire audience knew almost all of these hits. This time I really listened to the lyrics. So meaningful and honest of teenage and adolescent life. He has amazing stamina and memory. Most likely due to healthy living and habits. Looks good for his age that's for sure. Love Radio City for giving us excellent shows.
From searching for seats to checking into the venue, the experience was quick and easy.
