About

Frankie Valli is best known as the frontman of The Four Seasons and stood out from contemporary singers for his unique falsetto vocals. Rising to fame in the ‘60s, Frankie Valli is still going strong as a solo artist 50 years later.
With The Four Seasons, Valli had 29 hit singles that reached the Top 40 and as a solo artist he added a further nine Top 40 hits. The first hit for the band was “Sherr,” which went to No. 1 in 1962. Frankie's first solo hit, “Can't Take My Eyes Off You,” which was to become his signature song, was released in 1967. Frankie and the band continued to have hits throughout the ‘60s and ‘70s. In 1978 Frankie was back with a big hit, performing the title track to the iconic film Grease, which became a favorite all over the world.
Throughout their career from the ‘60s to the mid-‘70s, The Four Seasons released around 20 albums, but many more compilation and collection albums were to be released over the years. A further 10 albums were released by Valli as a solo artist, the most recent of which was Romancing the 60s, released in 2007. Valli has continued to perform and tour throughout the decades, and continues to collaborate with other artists. As recently as 2010 Valli recorded a duet with Juice Newton, “The Biggest Part of Me,” which was released as a track on Newton's Duets: Friends & Memories album. Despite a very distinguished and long-standing career, Frankie Valli wasn't to make his debut on Broadway until 2012 when he performed in a week-long concert.
For a career that has spanned half a century, it’s difficult to list all the awards and acclaim Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons have won. It‘s testament to their success that in 1990 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and that they entered the Vocal Group Hall of Fame a further nine years later. The popularity of some of their recordings has stood the test of time among fans and artists who have followed them down the years. Some 200 artists have made their own cover versions of “Can't Take My Eyes Off You” alone. As if being immortalized in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame wasn't enough, the life and careers of Frankie and The Four Seasons became the subject of the globally successful musical Jersey Boys in 2005. The show went on to win six Tony Awards and continues to tour today, stopping at the likes of the Old National Centre and other nationally acclaimed venues.

    Frankie Valli was Awesome

by Mynerva on 9/8/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons was an extremely enjoyable show!! The performance was the best. Not only was the dancing and singing great, but he encouraged the audience to sing along and dance. He took the time to introduce every member of the band, told a few jokes, reminisced, and showed true appreciation to be performing for us. Franki Valli gave you that warm fuzzy feeling and a great memory to treasure.

    Frankie Valli Still has IT!

by MrsChip on 9/8/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Franki Valli is still going strong! We have been going to his concerts for over 30 years and his voice was great on 9-6 at the casino. He is very generous with his concerts and yes, he may take a few moments to give his opinion which was promoting harmony and being grateful to be Americans.

    Oldie but goodie

by Ctfeet on 9/8/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Frankie Valli has been performing for years and he still puts on a great show. He may not be able to hit the high notes he used to get but still has a great voice.

    great show

by oldbastard on 9/8/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

This is the best show that this old bastard has seen since the Elton John show. Frankie could have phoned it in at his old ripe age but he did not. No warm up group, he came out and stayed for the whole shoe. He delivered !!!

    Valli Was At His Best

by Cenzo on 9/8/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Didn't expect to hear the voice that we grewup hearing but much to our delight Frankie Valli was outstanding. The Four Season's were wonderful and full of energy. The musicans were exceptional and were a show by themselves. The majority of the audience were older adults but there were many young people including our 17 year old grandson who sang through the entire performance. This goes to show the appeal that Frankie Valli has earned over all the years that he has performed. Please bring him back again.

    Frankie Vallie was fantastic

by PTC227 on 9/8/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

I have seen Frankie Vallie many times since the mid 70's and this show was by far his best....plenty of energy, with the selection of songs....he could have done another 2 hours with all the hits he has had. I also like the new arrangements of the old songs which enabled him to hit the high notes, utlize the back-up singers and the addition of the brass section really added a touch of class to the show.... Cant wait to see it again.... Does he have a CD Live of the performance????? I'd love to purchase it to add to my collection....of Frankie Vallie, 45's, LPs, 8 tracks, cassettes and CDs...........

Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons

by catcher on 9/8/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

When Frankie sang his hit songs if was gret. I did not come to hear retreads of old 60's gs, or listen to his political comments. The end of the show was great, he must remember what the audience comes to see and hear , people not attend the concert to hear his political comments.

Frankie Vallie sounded better than ever.

by Sniffd on 9/8/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Mr. Vallie and the band put on a fantastic show but the sound from where we were sitting was terrible (section 116, row K). The vocals were clear at times and not at other times. The worst part about the show was the drums. You could here some of the kit, like the toms, but the snare sounded like he was hitting a cardboard box and you couldn't even hear the hi-hat and other cymbals. There was not lift or drive to the band because of this. I don't know what the soundman was listening to but it wasn't what we heard. Even though it wasn't a good sound, it was great to see a legend like Franie Vallie. Thanks for having him there.

    What a great show!

by Omni08 on 9/8/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

I went with my mom as a mother's day present and it was well worth it. I used to listen to all of these songs with her but I was still amazed at how many I knew. Frankie Valli still sounds amazing and his new backup singers were great. They not only sang well but they were very entertaining to watch as well! In all, it really was a great show and FAR exceeded my expectations!!

Oh what a Night we were Beggin' for him to Stay!

by BaberaFourSeasonfan on 9/7/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Just a little bit longer! I got in about 45 minutes before the show started. It is so easy to make new friends at a Frankie Valli concert. Everyone is so nice & will exchange stories of the 1st time they saw Frankie Valli & the first time they met him (or) shook his hand or when he looked right at them as they took his photograph. I never wanted the show to end! There was an amazing horn section that came out first or was it the band. Anyway... the Four Seasons came out next 2 coming from each side of the stage...and then....what seemed an eternity (probably 45 seconds to a minute later) when the crowd just couldn’t take the anticipation any longer.. Handsome as ever in a stylish suit with sheen to it Frankie Valli enters the stage. He started out strong & kept on going from 7:15 to about 9:30. They sang so many hits that I will list the bulk of under the setlist. Half way through the show, Frankie briefly disappears through the smoke from the stage along with the Four Seasons during the instrumental part of Swearin' to God. How on earth they can change so fast?! He finished off that song in now a red shirt & began to tell the audience about how Universal Motown Records wanted him & the Four Seasons to come out with a new CD. Cracked a few jokes about music that’s on the radio today, then sang some beautiful songs from that new CD. It's great how he'll take a few minutes to talk to the audience. Sharing pieces of his life & giving his opinion of how to deal with life’s ups & downs. I love when he says not to give up on your dreams (especially moves me as I am an artist) & don't let anyone tell you that you can't. Well, o.k. so I had to let the security guards tell me I can't bring in the portrait I made for him. However I will not let it stop me from bringing it to the Next Frankie Valli concert! During the last 1/2 dozen songs the group encouraged the audience to get up & dance. When they came out for an encore I took it upon myself to rush the stage & shake his hand!  Then of course there are memorabilia you can buy after the show. I got a set of magnets & the fantastic box set Jersey Beat autographed by the man himself!!!

    Aged to Perfection!

by Tushkums on 9/7/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Frankie is still great showman with a strong voice that is mellower now than it was during his heyday. He has a tremendous band and supporting vocalists that are more harmonious than the originals. Those wanting to hear the big hits will not leave disappointed.

    Fabulous Show

by momof2plus on 9/7/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

This show was absolutely incredible. I had very good seats and was pretty close to the stage, but, the performance itself was phenomenal. I love the new "four seasons" and think they also did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend if you are a fan of the 60's.
