    Transport logistics are terrible

by Susanna on 10/23/23Circuit of The Americas - Austin

I loved the GP and the Queen concert, but the transport logistics around the event ALL weekend were appalling. It took us 4 hours from the end of qualifying to get to our car in the Park and Ride lot. At one point it was a whole hour before a single shuttle bus showed up. COTA need to seriously work through having dedicated access for shuttles to make it viable. It spoils the whole experience and I’m seriously questioning whether we’d ever go again.

Killers were GREAT - COTA was not

by Roger on 10/23/23Circuit of The Americas - Austin

The Killers delivered an amazing show as usual. In the end it was worth the trouble but the logistics of the event might prevent me from going back in the future. We live about 30 miles from COTA and it took us 2 hours to get to Lot F where we parked. The last 2 miles took 75 min as we hardly moved. This is the first of two logistical challenges. 2nd logistical challenge is that none of the workers directing traffic know anything about the event. Where to go, etc....felt like a cow - just follow the herd and hope you get to the right place. 3rd logistical challenge was that we paid for the concert upgrade which puts you on the track. With a 8pm start, we planned to eat dinner at the event as we've done this before. However, because we were cutting it close, we weren't able to go to the food trucks. We assumed that there would be food for purchase inside the concert. However, for the concert upgrade on the track, the only vendors were drinks and memorabilia. The only food option at the drink tents was popcorn so that was our dinner. All in all, we loved the show but everything else was a pain and a result of poor event logistics.

    Excellent

by Aidan on 10/23/23Circuit of The Americas - Austin

Very well organized but as you would expect there are delays getting to/from and entering the event. Otherwise, a blast!

    Turns with minimal views

by Blink and you’ll miss it on 10/23/23Circuit of The Americas - Austin

Avoid turn 2, $300 per ticket and you get to see an F1 car for no more than 0.5 second out of a 95 second lap time. Not worth the money.

    F1 Concerts and event

by Pizza on 10/23/23Circuit of The Americas - Austin

Disappointing -- Concert venue is very poor. Lawn is extremely far from the stage, Lawn is not correct word as it was difficult to stand on the ground -- No grass/just dirt and clumps of growth. The race venue is dusty and difficult to see track from the general admission areas. Public address system is not audible in most GA locations. Food and beverages were extremely expensive.

    Buying OK

by Juan G on 10/23/23Circuit of The Americas - Austin

The online buying process is easy and friendly. The complexity comes at the venue due to poor connectivity, Dynamic Tickets cannot be retrieved to get it read. Then you have to go all the way to general ticketing booth which is near to impossible to get serviced. So all in all, buying great, horrible admission experience due to lack of reading. Solution create an off-line securer method as backup when buying

    Amazing but…

by Gaby on 10/23/23Circuit of The Americas - Austin

The experience was extraordinary, but the tram transportation should be improved. There’s not enough for the amount of people which results in long waiting times.

Great fun! Bring money and shade

by Chris on 10/23/23Circuit of The Americas - Austin

Great atmosphere, and tons to so. Definitely pricey though, and needs more shade.

    Over crowded

by Bobby on 10/23/23Circuit of The Americas - Austin

Great racing and a fantastic venue. Parking sucks and is expensive. The roads trying to get in and out suck. Food and drinks are good but too expensive. Merchandise was way over priced. T shirts were in the $140 range. Ticket master actually had a better selection of tickets at cheaper prices than the venue website.

    Amazing!

    Went for the concert

by Carole on 10/26/22Circuit of The Americas - Austin

Went to see Green Day and they were fantastic. I had the SRO extra ticket, so getting in to the event was easy and I was able to be upfront and enjoy the show! Only thing that was not perfect was the parking and getting out to where I needed to go. But it all worked out.

    No place to sit.

by Rick on 10/26/22Circuit of The Americas - Austin

I paid almost $400 per ticket for one day entrance on race day. I got there 4 hours early to find a place to sit on the grass to enjoy the race. I walked around the whole length of the track and only found two areas where I could see the track. Those two areas had no more space to place a foldable chair. I noticed the race promoters have placed more private seating where in the areas of general admission. I was disappointed there was no space to see the actual race from general admission.

Great Race, Abysmal public transportation and connectivity.

by Ed O. on 10/26/22Circuit of The Americas - Austin

For the price of tickets and size of the event the organizers should have a better public transportation plan. There were plenty of busses but no dedicated lane so they sat in traffic for hours on what should have been a 30 min trip. Also cell service was extremely unreliable and the vendors didn’t even have reliable Wi-Fi for tap to pay. The number in attendance is no excuse. Plenty of well run venues have as many or more people and have the infrastructure in place to accommodate. If you plan on attending go early and drive! The busses are a waste of money.

    Awesome, would do it again

by Jorge F1 on 10/26/22Circuit of The Americas - Austin

Few tv’s for the public in the event, everything else was great.

Most confusing as to where GA viewing was available

by PaulC on 10/26/22Circuit of The Americas - Austin

None of the "Officials" that we asked on the day understood where the GA viewing areas were. In past years, the previous areas we used have been replaced by grandstands, so finding a usable GA area was very difficult on the day.

Better Experience at Home on the Couch

by Not Impressed on 10/26/22Circuit of The Americas - Austin

F1 US GP was a meh experience. Concessions were over priced. Merchandise was over priced. The racing was pretty boring. If not for Verstappen's pit crew messing up his stop the race would have been a run away. It would take the spaced out cars 30 seconds to drive by our section. Then we would wait 2 minutes just to see the cars go by in the same order. F1 needs to add 20 cars to their races to make the action better. The teams need to run different liveries between team mates to make the cars more distinguishable.

    The GA Experience

by The GA Fan on 10/26/22Circuit of The Americas - Austin

If you're going to have an event where in order to get a good spot where you can see more than 50 meters of track you have to show up 6 hours early then the price for those GA tickets should be considerably lower than what I paid. I got to the track at 9:45am, more than 4 hours prior to the race, and couldn't find a spot in the GA area where I could see more than a tiny section of track. I know there is nothing that can be done about the size of the crowd and people coming early to grab the best spots, but the ticket price should be much lower for GA.

    terrible parking and traffic

by HatDaddy on 10/26/22Circuit of The Americas - Austin

Race was good, spent most of it in the beer garden watching on a big monitor. Took us over 3.5 hours to get back on the IH35 when we left. We parked in T Lot and will not go back again, I can't imagine the shuttles were any better considering how far reaching the traffic went. The traffic cops did nothing but sit and watch the the traffic from their bumpers.

    Not what we expected

by Joyce on 10/26/22Circuit of The Americas - Austin

We didn’t get to sit down , when I bought the ticket it had a row number , seat number so I automatically thought I was purchasing seats, well when we got there they said we didn’t purchase seats so we had to stand the whole time, could not even see the race it was so full and tv where so far we couldn’t read who was wining, not a good experience at all
