Foreigners Journey in Concert
Almost any music fan who came of age in the 1980s will cite Foreigner and Journey as bands that sound tracked their young life, bands that are forever lodged in their mind. Back then, the two acts might have been separated by an ocean, but together they helped define the "magic era" of classic rock.
At one point not too long ago, they toured the world as a one-two combination, but don't count on it happening again. Luckily, you can count on Foreigners Journey, a veritable tribute-band supergroup, to deliver the unforgettable experience of seeing both bands in one knockout show.
Foreigners Journey comprises veteran members of the music scene, guys who've made it with their own original music. But since 2014 they've also dedicated themselves to something larger, a supergroup intent on bringing the sounds, sights, and emotional thrills of two of rock ‘n' roll's greatest bands to eager fans around the Northeast and beyond.
Featuring 2X Tony Nominated Star of Broadway’s Rock of Ages and American Idol fame, Constantine Maroulis on Lead Vocals. Keyboardist Paul Kochanski, Bassist Joe Pettengill and Drummer Art Mambuca (and his sprawling double kick-drum kit) all played together in the Journey tribute band Captured. And, rounding out the band is hotshot Guitarist Kevin Herrera.
Their repertoire of note-for-note classics by Foreigner and Journey provide a crowd-pleasing night of unforgettable music, ready for singing along, jumping out of your seat to bounce and sway, or maybe even slow dancing (for those nostalgic for high school in the ‘80s). From power ballads like "Waiting for a Girl Like You," "I Want to Know What Love Is," and "Open Arms" to anthems like "Hot Blooded," "Don't Stop Believin'," and "Any Way You Want It," Foreigners Journey are more than a tribute band. They're a time machine, and their energy is infectious.
GREAT SHOW WORTH SEEING. GRAT TRIBUTE BAND SOUND SO MUCH LIKE THE ORIGINAL GROUPS
Excellent show. Ticket process and Ticketmaster were a nightmare- they should be ashamed.
Love this band. So much fun. Have seen them twice and looking forward to next time
Great band great seating! Just fantastic!!!I didn’t even want to sit down.
We had a great time! Constantine and the band were great! Constantine interacted with the audience- super friendly and down to earth!!!
He never 👎 interacted with people in the front except for one kid went to the back once stayed on stage the whole time. He probably should stick to show tunes.
This was a great show. Very talented musicians Constatine is a true entertainer, he was very interactive with the crowd and you could tell he is well loved. His bandmates were second to none. Lead guitarist Kevin also phenomenal. Just a great show. There were some sound issues periodically but they managed to put on a great rock show!
Was a great show from the the very first song to the last...
Constantine Maroulis and FJ are always a great show. Very crowd friendly and makes everyone feel at home. Great band!
Venue is small and easy to get in and out of. Free parking on the street this time of year! Lead singer was decent but not great. Sax and drummer phenomenal! Drinks reasonably priced..do wish they served light food..
I was in row C so needless to say there is nothing I can say bad about my view. Constantine is a fabulous entertainer / musician and he playing the whole crowd. Moved around the stage like he owned it. Shared left and right sides of the stage equally. I didn't feel crowded in my seat, very roomy area. Thank you Constantine and TS for a great show and a great place to see it in.
Great sound in the showroom, plenty of legroom, just a great place to see a show
Constantine Maroulis really engaged the audience. I particularly enjoyed him asking the audience to get up and dance! The music really made you want to move! His voice is great and the band terrific. I hope they return to Turning Stone next year.
Constantine can sing! It was a packed set of difficult songs to sing and Constantine nailed them. The band was just as good. The guitarist, drummer, keyboardist all the way to the rock saxophone nailed every song. Due to other late plans we almost didn’t go. I’m glad we did. Headed to the Sock Out Cancer show in Syracuse with former singers from Boston and Journey. Not sure that they will be able to match Constantine.
Very entertaining, the musicians were phenomenal. Lots of variety with song choices. Can’t wait to see them again.
WOW!!! I think Constantine Maroulis and Foreigners Journey were even better than the other times (6) that I have seen them!!! They rocked the house and had people on their feet dancing and singing! While they do mostly songs from Foreigner and Journey, last night they threw in a little Toto, Led Zeppelin and Queen...are you kidding? They were fantastic! Constantine is consistently awesome with his phenomenal vocals, that the puts his heart and soul into...and he’s easy on the eyes too! But last night I got to appreciate the other members of the band as well: Kevin Herrera, playing lead guitar and vocals is mesmerizing.....his fingers are all over those frets and strings so quickly, it’s amazing! And don’t get me started on that smile of his!!! At one point, he bent over and flipped his mane of long hair over my head as he continued to play! YOWSA!!! Paul Kochanski, who started the group, is great on the keyboards and then sometimes comes out to the front with his portable keyboard ...wow! And what a sweet man he is! Adam Tese, who plays saxophone, bongos and the like is just terrific...what a musician! He’s also very photogenic! Art Mambuca on the drums is a “Maniac” in a GREAT way. He makes those drums talk to us...incredible! It’s always a treat when he plays his solo. And Joe Pettengill playing the bass guitar makes you want to move your body. His baseline is pulsating! Needless to say they are all so talented and I was so happy to see them again!!!! And of course, none of them are camera-shy! LOL This show Kevin brought up a young man, Nathan, to play on stage. He had given Nathan an autographed guitar when he first met him on the South Shore. We cheered Nathan on - he was just awesome!!! After the show, Kevin came down off stage for a photo with all of us, Nathan included, and then he led the group in singing Happy Birthday to me! It was an unforgettable night! If you haven’t seen this group yet, make sure you find out where they will be on their website....you'll hear songs like “Cold As Ice,” “Don’t Stop Believing’,” “Hot Blooded,” and “Any Way You Want It,” “Jukebox Hero” and MUCH MORE!
Definitely going to see them again, amazing job, they are a wonderful group of people to boot
You can not get a more personal experience anywhere. The size of the crowd & the intimate seating arrangements are the best. Enough people to have an energizing crowd while small enough to make it real personal. Blue Ocean Music Hall is the only way to go to a concert............I absolutly love it !
Amazing show Friday. You guys are more than a tribute, its a rock show! There is an energy and excitement you don't get with straight tributes. Honestly, I would rather see you guys more than the current Foreigner or Journey....and you only have one less original member than the other 2 bands combined! Gonna be picking up tickets to the November show at Blue Ocean. Always a pleasure seeing and hearing you all on stage!
I guess you could say, I was at their first show featuring Constantine Maroulis as the front man. Not only were they were fantastic on their first show at the Flying Monkey in Plymouth, NH. At that moment, I knew I needed to see them again. So a few weeks later, I saw them at The Blue Ocean in Salisbury Beach, MA. These guys lay it all out on stage. The energy is infectious, the smiles, all those feels you had in high school.. YUP, they were there. Highly suggest you catch a show in 2022. I can’t wait to see what 2022 brings for these men.. ROCK ON with love!
