Foreigners Journey in Concert
Almost any music fan who came of age in the 1980s will cite Foreigner and Journey as bands that sound tracked their young life, bands that are forever lodged in their mind. Back then, the two acts might have been separated by an ocean, but together they helped define the "magic era" of classic rock.
At one point not too long ago, they toured the world as a one-two combination, but don't count on it happening again. Luckily, you can count on Foreigners Journey, a veritable tribute-band supergroup, to deliver the unforgettable experience of seeing both bands in one knockout show.
Foreigners Journey comprises veteran members of the music scene, guys who've made it with their own original music. But since 2014 they've also dedicated themselves to something larger, a supergroup intent on bringing the sounds, sights, and emotional thrills of two of rock ‘n' roll's greatest bands to eager fans around the Northeast and beyond.
Featuring 2X Tony Nominated Star of Broadway’s Rock of Ages and American Idol fame, Constantine Maroulis on Lead Vocals. Keyboardist Paul Kochanski, Bassist Joe Pettengill and Drummer Art Mambuca (and his sprawling double kick-drum kit) all played together in the Journey tribute band Captured. And, rounding out the band is hotshot Guitarist Kevin Herrera.
Their repertoire of note-for-note classics by Foreigner and Journey provide a crowd-pleasing night of unforgettable music, ready for singing along, jumping out of your seat to bounce and sway, or maybe even slow dancing (for those nostalgic for high school in the ‘80s). From power ballads like "Waiting for a Girl Like You," "I Want to Know What Love Is," and "Open Arms" to anthems like "Hot Blooded," "Don't Stop Believin'," and "Any Way You Want It," Foreigners Journey are more than a tribute band. They're a time machine, and their energy is infectious.
They were great! We missed the first 40 minutes but what we did get to experience was fantastic. Loved the energy and vocals. The sax player was a plus!
Rudy has the most amazing voice. What a fabulous celebration of the music of Journey and Foreigner and even bonus track of Queen! I would go again and again. The theater was a great setting but I know we all just wanted to get up and dance (which probably would not have been regarded well for those sitting behind us). Overall it was a fantastic show!
I was pleasantly surprised that this band was so good. The lead singer was spot on with vocals for each song. Plus, his energy on stage was infectious. I couldn't sit still in my seat. I loved the added songs from Prince, Led Zeppelin and Queen - a great surprise! I highly recommend the concert!
I cannot say enough fabulous things about the concert! I have been to so many concerts. Saw Foreigner and Journey both in the 80s and Rudy and Foreigners Journey blew us both away. Recommend sitting as close to the stage as you can to get the full experience. We were in the front row and we felt like we had a band playing just for us in our living room. Too cool. Rudy has an amazing vocal range and was a ton of fun as a performer. The bass player was fantastic. So was the lead guitar player, keyboard player and drummer. Brought my hubby and I straight back to the 80s! Run, don't walk, to see this show for sure! Rudy -please come back to Florida soon! :)
What a great show! We had a wonderful time! They sang and played every song amazingly well! Will definitely see them again, if they are in our area again!
I enjoyed this concert so much. The band was incredible and the lead singer phenomenal!! The venue is a perfect place for viewing a concert. The Lynn auditorium always has good seats for viewing an event. No bad seat in the house and no obstructions. The sound and lighting was also impressive. The staff of the auditorium were more than helpful to the patrons. I will definitely go to another show there again. I am 71 yrs. old and had such a great time reminiscing and singing along to every song. I felt 21 yrs. old again. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Keep the music alive and continue offering music from the past.
Great show! Rudy Cardenas is such a talented artist! Kevin Herrera is an awesome musician! The entire band is great! I'll come to their next gig. I highly recommend the show!
I bought tickets for this event months ago, hoping it would be a somewhat good show. I like both Foreigner and Journey, and was hesitant on how could a band be good at performing both types of music. Also, Constantine the lead singer for the band was not performing with the band due to a commitment in NY performing Rock of Ages show. Rudy Carderas from American Idol fame years ago, would be filling in. He did a phenomenal job, unbelievable show. From the youtube videos I saw of the band with Constantine, I think Rudy is way better. Watch out Constantine! I can’t wait to see these guys again!
Rudy Cardenas was great! Strong vocals. Had difficulty making out lyrics, however. Lead guitarist very talented.
What a fabulous show Foreigners Journey put on last Saturday. These musicians are so talented. And Rudy Cardenas' voice is smooth and sexy. If you love Journey music, you have got to see this group. If you love Foreigner music, you have got to see this group. Close your eyes and imagine you are hearing the actual groups....that's how great these guys are!!! You won't be sorry...GO SEE them!!!
Went to see Foreigner’s Journey, a great band that plays music from Foreigner and Journey, great night out fir Classic rock!
Show we saw was supposed to be at the Oshkosh event center (gym). This was by far a better venue. Having never been to the grand, we were pleasantly surprised how very cool it was!
Great concert but had 1st row from Ticketmaster at 1st venue and they moved us to the 3rd row at another venue. Very terrible seats. Not what we paid for.
Great show, Constantine Maroulis is quite a performer. Thanks to the Grand in Oshkosh, the show went on. Considering all the confusion regarding the venue change, the seating was handled pretty well, the staff did their best to manage the situation. A huge thank you to the Grand and all the staff, that made the very best of the situation! It would have been very disappointing if the show would have been cancelled.
We went not sure what to expect aside from venue change we had a great time all the music took us back to younger days sax player was phenomenal band did all songs justice would definitely go again
Constantine Maroulis has a high energy performance singing the most known hits from Foreigner and Journey in addition to this he signs from some other well known acts like Queen. The rest of the group is filled with seasonal players and they sounds as good as the original bands. Highly recommend it, good music and a good entertainer.
Great musicians, Constantine was fabulous! A show not to miss!
Constantine and the band are very talented. The show was fantastic. He is truly an entertainer!!
Being older it was a little too loud for me I could tell the songs but couldn’t hear the singing. Maybe it was the acoustics
This was one of the best tributes I have been to. The band is so talented and then Constantine adding his voice just makes it even better
