About

With 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, FOREIGNER is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 80 million.

Responsible for some of rock and roll's most enduring anthems including "Juke Box Hero," "Cold As Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Waiting For A Girl Like You," "Feels Like The First Time," "Urgent," "Head Games," "Say You Will," "Dirty White Boy," "Long, Long Way From Home" and the worldwide #1 hit, "I Want To Know What Love Is," FOREIGNER still rocks the charts more than 40 years into the game with massive airplay and continued Billboard Top 200 album success. Audio and video streams of FOREIGNER's hits are approaching 15 million per week.

With more Top 10 songs than Journey and as many as Fleetwood Mac, FOREIGNER also features strongly in every category in Billboard's "Greatest of All Time" listing. At times, the band's weekly catalog sales have eclipsed those of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and most of their Classic Rock peers (Source:MusiConnect). FOREIGNER's catalog sales were recently celebrated in Business Insider as hitting the Top 40 among the Best Selling Music Artists of All Time.

FOREIGNER's founder is Songwriters Hall of Fame member Mick Jones, a visionary maestro whose stylistic songwriting, indelible guitar hooks, and multi-layered talents continue to escalate FOREIGNER's influence and guide the band to new horizons. Jones reformed the band after a 2002 hiatus and selected lead singer Kelly Hansen to help write an inspired new chapter in the history of FOREIGNER. One of rock's greatest showmen, Hansen is among the most respected, consummate professionals in rock and roll. With a 40-year career that spans almost every area of music, from the role of lead vocalist to producing and engineering, Hansen has led FOREIGNER into the digital age while inspiring a whole new generation of fans.

FOREIGNER's lineup also includes noted Dokken bassist Jeff Pilson, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, guitarist Bruce Watson, Chris Frazier on drums and guitarist Luis Carlos Maldonado. An unprecedented new level of energy led the group to a re-emergence of astounding music that speaks to FOREIGNER's enduring popularity.

FOREIGNER recently announced the beginning of their Farewell Tour on national television. The tour will commence on July 6th, 2023 in Atlanta, GA and is expected to take two years or so to complete. The goal is to visit all the cities where the band has played since its reformation in 2004.

If you like Foreigner....this concert is for you...Mick Jones comes out after the first several songs and plays on from there which makes the show. Great cover band until Mick shows up.

  • just a good cover band

by MickyBee on 1/11/13Hard Rock Live - HollywoodRating: 1 out of 5

They shouldn't be allowed to sell tickets under the name of Foreigner. If I had any idea that there was not an original band member left I never would have bought tickets. These guys were good but essentially nothing more than just a good cover band. Don't waste your money. For the record Mick Jones does show up for several songs about halfway through.

  • Not Foreign

As always, they rocked all night to a packed house.

  • Sound issues???

    by Potcake123 on 1/11/13Hard Rock Live - HollywoodRating: 4 out of 5

We LOVE Foreigner . The venue seemed to be having issues with sound. Lots of base feedback and very hard to hear the words. We were in a 300 section on the side but first row. Kelly was obviously struggling with respiratory problems because that man can SING!!! We loved the show no matter what because we love the band. Why are only limited sections open to purchase online?? There we seats open lower we would have been happy to purchase but were not offered online.

  • This is NOT Foreigner

    by SunKing9 on 1/11/13Hard Rock Live - HollywoodRating: 1 out of 5

No one from Foreigner was on stage at this concert. This is a cover band at best. The sound was not loud enough. The singer was not having his best night. Definitely not worth the time, effort and money.

  • Foreigner rocked the house!!

Unbelievable, thought I was back in my room spinning lp's! This concert was absolutely the best one I've seen in a while.

  • Tight

    by bap0606 on 1/11/13Hard Rock Live - HollywoodRating: 4 out of 5

I kept trying to tell myself I should be upset that out of the seven guys on stage only Mick Jones was the original member. Having said that, they played so well and the crowd was so into it that after the third song I jumped in with both feet and had a blast.

  • THESE GUYS CAN STILL ROCK!

by QueenKutie55 on 12/28/12Selena Auditorium At the American Bank Center - Corpus ChristiRating: 5 out of 5

This was such a great show! I can't say enough about how much we had. Their fame was before my time but i know their songs all too well. We had a blast and I would love to see them again. Definitely recommend that everyone see them!

The concert was excellent but why was the band short one of the founding members?

  • Great Show

    by Howie69 on 10/23/12Harrah's Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack - ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

I had never been to Harrah's before...but I had seen Foreigner as a lead act at a Journey concert, in Camden and they were great then, so when they came to my area...I decided to go see them. The show started at about 9.15 ..some of the crowd were still standing at the bars trying to get a drink, when the lights dimmed, the room reminded me of a place you have a wedding reception in, the seats were not tied down, the rows of chairs were asque, the chair numbers were on the back of the chairs tied on with a piece of string. The band was tight and the show was exciting they unbelievably good, played to the mostly drunken crowd, had a club feel to Harrahs (movable seats, bar on either side of the room). They played all the Favorites, kept the crowd on their feet, as its an older crowd some seemed to resist, but the lead singer and the bass player got them up on their feet eventually. None of the original band members were playing that night, guess they take nites off too, that was dissappointing and i heard several people complain that the bill boards showed them but they were not there...but the band put on a great show, and the older crowd definetly got into it. the place was rocking!..Great show!

  • The band is tight!

by Anonymous on 10/22/12Harrah's Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack - ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

At first, there were some mic issues. After the first two songs, the sound was much better. The band was extremely tight. Venue was so-so; a little difficult to see because the floor is not sloped. Unbelievable the amount of hits this band has had. Overall, we had an enjoyable evening. Foreigner had a local high school choir join them on the chorus of "I Want to Know What Love Is"-very cool. Foreigner supports schools to help keep the music alive in the schools-Kudos to them!!!!

  • Foreiner as Good as ever

    by Thomasbd1 on 10/22/12Harrah's Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack - ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

This past Saturday my wife and I saw Foreigner at Harrahs Philadelphia at the Chester Casino. The band was as good as they ever were. I was dissapointed that Mic Jones was absent and there was a substitute for him however this guy was spot on. Great Job. I saw the band years ago after the release of "Foreigner 4" with all original members. If you didn't know some members were replaced over the years, you would think these guys were the original.
