About

With 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, FOREIGNER is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 80 million.

Responsible for some of rock and roll's most enduring anthems including "Juke Box Hero," "Cold As Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Waiting For A Girl Like You," "Feels Like The First Time," "Urgent," "Head Games," "Say You Will," "Dirty White Boy," "Long, Long Way From Home" and the worldwide #1 hit, "I Want To Know What Love Is," FOREIGNER still rocks the charts more than 40 years into the game with massive airplay and continued Billboard Top 200 album success. Audio and video streams of FOREIGNER's hits are approaching 15 million per week.

With more Top 10 songs than Journey and as many as Fleetwood Mac, FOREIGNER also features strongly in every category in Billboard's "Greatest of All Time" listing. At times, the band's weekly catalog sales have eclipsed those of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and most of their Classic Rock peers (Source:MusiConnect). FOREIGNER's catalog sales were recently celebrated in Business Insider as hitting the Top 40 among the Best Selling Music Artists of All Time.

FOREIGNER's founder is Songwriters Hall of Fame member Mick Jones, a visionary maestro whose stylistic songwriting, indelible guitar hooks, and multi-layered talents continue to escalate FOREIGNER's influence and guide the band to new horizons. Jones reformed the band after a 2002 hiatus and selected lead singer Kelly Hansen to help write an inspired new chapter in the history of FOREIGNER. One of rock's greatest showmen, Hansen is among the most respected, consummate professionals in rock and roll. With a 40-year career that spans almost every area of music, from the role of lead vocalist to producing and engineering, Hansen has led FOREIGNER into the digital age while inspiring a whole new generation of fans.

FOREIGNER's lineup also includes noted Dokken bassist Jeff Pilson, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, guitarist Bruce Watson, Chris Frazier on drums and guitarist Luis Carlos Maldonado. An unprecedented new level of energy led the group to a re-emergence of astounding music that speaks to FOREIGNER's enduring popularity.

FOREIGNER recently announced the beginning of their Farewell Tour on national television. The tour will commence on July 6th, 2023 in Atlanta, GA and is expected to take two years or so to complete. The goal is to visit all the cities where the band has played since its reformation in 2004.

  • Foreigner is still rocking!!

by Acp122 on 4/17/13Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

They have more energy than most bands I've been too recently. The lead singer sounds remarkably like the original and has fantastic stage presence. The rest of the band sounds great and has amazing enthusiasm. And yes, they are mostly not original members, but you wouldn't know it from being there! I will definitely go see them again. Can't say enough good things.

  • Don't hesitate.....GO!

If you are questioning whether or not to go to this concert...don't! This was one of the best bands we have seen from back in the day! You could feel the energy that the lead singer created in the room. Even though there are only a few of the original members left, you could not tell. They played there complete list of hits without skipping a beat or adding in a "new" song. Well worth it!

  • Rock Concert

by Skyeyes on 4/17/13Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San AntonioRating: 4 out of 5

Unfortunately it was so loud it was difficult to hear/understand the lyrics. Also, the crowd gathered in aisles and around stage which prevented others from having a decent view of performance.

  • Foreigner - The Jukebox HERO'S!!!

by pmartin3 on 4/17/13Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

Foreigner was the BEST CONCERT EVER!!! I was so excited to go and see them with some girlfriends that used to always go with me back in high school (30 years ago) and they are just as good if not better! Totally AMAZING~ With the medical set backs they thank God have somewhat overcome and seeing Mick Jones playing again was just earth shattering!! They are the Best band and still rock today like the Hall of Fame band they have always been but better!!

  • FOREIGNER STILL ELECTRIFIES!!!

by Beatles4Ever1 on 4/17/13Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

I have been attending rock concerts for the past 30+ years. The last 5 years or so, I have been seeing many of my favorite acts from the 80s before they retire. I must admit, knowing that Mick Jones is the only original founding member of Foreigner, I was expecting a good, albeit predictable concert. I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE WRONG IN MY LIFE! The venue, San Antonio's Majestic Theater, is a good place for a concert and there aren't many bad seats. Mine was good, but I left it when Kelly Hansen said, "We don't mind if you all come up front!" The musicianship was outstanding and each musician elicited audience participation, which they all got. I usually leave a concert during the encore in order to beat the rush out of the venue as well as the traffic, but this time I stayed until the lights turned on and the staff started breaking down the stage. I am sure glad I went. Foreigner also graciously raised funds for Madison Avenue, a local high school acapella choir who entertained the audience prior to Foreigner and provided the background vocals for - what else? - "I Want To Know What Love Is." One of the BEST CONCERTS I have ever attended.

  • Foreigner still tops

by B1shadow on 4/17/13Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

I believe the show was awesome.. The choir that opened was ok for a high school choir. The main event was better than I thought it would be.. I would gladly go again.. However I would change seats to lower level.. Fantastic production..

The show was beyond amazing! The age group was around 40 years old (I'm 20 years old) however it was sill very great. They weren't very crazy like young people but they were up the whole time singing and enjoying the music. It was great and I would no doubt go see them again.

    by slkelly59 on 4/17/13Majestic Theater - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

This was the most AWESOME show I have ever seen. It was as Kelly said a ROCK CONCERT. Kelly had everyone move to the stage and we were all just Jammin. This is my 3rd time seeing them and never let me down. The band shook hands with the fans, handed out some guitar picks, it was real. Great bunch of guys putting out Great music.

They were so fantastic! I appreciated the fact that they just sang. No inappropriate language or political talk. It was a show for the whole family!

I truly enjoyed the concert. I love how the band loves to be near their fans - jumping out into the audience, coming by and shaking hands, etc.. The music was awesome to boot!
