About

With 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, FOREIGNER is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 80 million.

Responsible for some of rock and roll's most enduring anthems including "Juke Box Hero," "Cold As Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Waiting For A Girl Like You," "Feels Like The First Time," "Urgent," "Head Games," "Say You Will," "Dirty White Boy," "Long, Long Way From Home" and the worldwide #1 hit, "I Want To Know What Love Is," FOREIGNER still rocks the charts more than 40 years into the game with massive airplay and continued Billboard Top 200 album success. Audio and video streams of FOREIGNER's hits are approaching 15 million per week.

With more Top 10 songs than Journey and as many as Fleetwood Mac, FOREIGNER also features strongly in every category in Billboard's "Greatest of All Time" listing. At times, the band's weekly catalog sales have eclipsed those of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and most of their Classic Rock peers (Source:MusiConnect). FOREIGNER's catalog sales were recently celebrated in Business Insider as hitting the Top 40 among the Best Selling Music Artists of All Time.

FOREIGNER's founder is Songwriters Hall of Fame member Mick Jones, a visionary maestro whose stylistic songwriting, indelible guitar hooks, and multi-layered talents continue to escalate FOREIGNER's influence and guide the band to new horizons. Jones reformed the band after a 2002 hiatus and selected lead singer Kelly Hansen to help write an inspired new chapter in the history of FOREIGNER. One of rock's greatest showmen, Hansen is among the most respected, consummate professionals in rock and roll. With a 40-year career that spans almost every area of music, from the role of lead vocalist to producing and engineering, Hansen has led FOREIGNER into the digital age while inspiring a whole new generation of fans.

FOREIGNER's lineup also includes noted Dokken bassist Jeff Pilson, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, guitarist Bruce Watson, Chris Frazier on drums and guitarist Luis Carlos Maldonado. An unprecedented new level of energy led the group to a re-emergence of astounding music that speaks to FOREIGNER's enduring popularity.

FOREIGNER recently announced the beginning of their Farewell Tour on national television. The tour will commence on July 6th, 2023 in Atlanta, GA and is expected to take two years or so to complete. The goal is to visit all the cities where the band has played since its reformation in 2004.

They still got it after all these years!

by ruthiegirl on 8/23/09Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

It's been a long time since I saw Foreigner. I wondered at first if it was going to be on of those bands that should have stayed forgotten. But I was wrong and I'm glad. Foreigner opened up with Cold as Ice and it was anything thing but cold. They sounded just like they did back in the day. They ended with Double Vision and showed everyone there they can still rock the house (park) Good concert!!

Good, but No Quarter was way too early!

by BriGuy123 on 8/23/09Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

The overall experience was good, and the two bands I saw were great. The problem was, the ticket said that the concert started at 7PM. We arrived early at about 6:40. But we caught the last thirty seconds of No Quarter. That was a third of the show! And we wanted to see them!

by wontgetlost on 8/23/09Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

What really made this show work was Kelly on vocals! Without a doubt the best he's ever sounded. Passionate, delivery was flawless. GREAT crowd too! Perfect weather. KZOK put on a terrific show.

    Great Show, but...

by ShelliLK on 8/23/09Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

Foreigner was great, but.... We arrived at 7:00 the time on the tickets only to find that No Quarter (the advertised opening band) had already played. No Quarter was only allowed 3 songs because bumped for KZOK band Spike & the Impalers. Our whole group of 15 was upset. We heard that Foreiner made that call and based on that I doubt any of us will pay to see Foreigner again. In the past few years we have seen them open up for others like Def Leppard, and Styx. How would Foreiger fans, like to have had them bumped.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING SHOW. AFTER 30 PLUS YEARS THEY ARE STILL GOING STRONG. THE ENTIRE BAND HAS AMAZING CHEMISTRY AND DEFINATELY KEPT THE CROWD INVOLVED. THE SET LIST WAS GOOD. WISHED THEY WOULD HAVE PLAYED HEADKNOCKER BUT CONSIDERING THEY PLAYED FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR IT WAS A GOOD DEAL. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME AT MARYMOOR PARK. WILL DEFINATELY ATTEND SHOWS THERE AGAIN. HIGHLY RECOMMEND SEING FOREIGNER. AMAZING THE AGE SPAN OF THE CROWD. A TESTAMENT TO THE BAND FIRST CONCERT SINCE 1987

    Foreigner

by dennis99 on 8/23/09Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

They rocked. They did every hit imaginable and were tight and on. Wonderful evening. The lead singer is the not original guy who got cancer, gained weight and lost his voice but he did a remarkable imitation of the original lead singer.

    Foreigner - FANTASTIC!!

by MsFire on 8/23/09Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

Best concert I've been to in a long time. That, my friends, is REAL music. They sounded just as good (if not better) than they did years ago. Played every hit song and a couple very good new ones. I"ll being purchasing the new CD. The crowd was great...true lovers of classic rock. If they come to your area, GO!!

    Foreiner were great

by StillEarth2009 on 8/23/09Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

The band still has it. Although only one original member is still standing, the other musicians deliver the same quality. The sound at the concert we watched was way too loud. It may be good for a very large stadium but not for a small area like Marymoor. The sound wad so loud, that it distorted the quality. Yes, rock concert should be loud but in this case too much emphasis was on the volume and too less on the quality of the sound. Too bad, because the performance was great.

    Foreigner Rocked!

by 4warriors on 8/23/09Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

Foreigner sounded fantastic! Their voices were strong and in top form. The opening band, Spike and the Impailers, were also great. They had the crowd pumped and ready for Foreigner. See this show to be transported back to the 80's.

    mind blowing!!

by musiccat on 8/23/09Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

From the second they hit the stage, it's hard rock nirvana. Every member of the band is so talented and working the rock to everyone's fulfilled dreams!! Jeff Pilson is full of relentless energy that's absolutely intoxicating. Tom Gimble's sax solo bring's the crowd to it's knees. Kelly Hansen's vocals and stage presence bring the crowd right into the band. We're part of the whole show. Mick Jones' Starrider is a classic space wonder. The drum solo was off the charts! We see these guys every time they've been in town since the reformation in 2004--10 times all together, and they nevery disappoint. It's obvious they love what they do, and we love the way they do it!!

    The Foreigner concert was fantastic

by whitznd on 8/23/09Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

Foreigner is electrifying. The lightshow was lowkey keeping the focus on the amazing talent and dynamics of the band. We were suprised and delighted by the sax solo! Great Rock n Roll! They kept the audience on their feet the entire set.

    Foreigner was not foreign.

by Dougbud on 8/23/09Concerts At Marymoor - Redmond

This was our first time to the Marymoor venue and it was purely enjoyable with a concert perfomance from a band that sounded like we remembered of days old. New faces with young voices matched the Foreigner of old. Even the new stuff was simply enjoyble. This is truely a band that still performs at perfection. This was one of the best concerts we have seen in a long time.
