With 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, FOREIGNER is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 80 million.
Responsible for some of rock and roll's most enduring anthems including "Juke Box Hero," "Cold As Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Waiting For A Girl Like You," "Feels Like The First Time," "Urgent," "Head Games," "Say You Will," "Dirty White Boy," "Long, Long Way From Home" and the worldwide #1 hit, "I Want To Know What Love Is," FOREIGNER still rocks the charts more than 40 years into the game with massive airplay and continued Billboard Top 200 album success. Audio and video streams of FOREIGNER's hits are approaching 15 million per week.
With more Top 10 songs than Journey and as many as Fleetwood Mac, FOREIGNER also features strongly in every category in Billboard's "Greatest of All Time" listing. At times, the band's weekly catalog sales have eclipsed those of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and most of their Classic Rock peers (Source:MusiConnect). FOREIGNER's catalog sales were recently celebrated in Business Insider as hitting the Top 40 among the Best Selling Music Artists of All Time.
FOREIGNER's founder is Songwriters Hall of Fame member Mick Jones, a visionary maestro whose stylistic songwriting, indelible guitar hooks, and multi-layered talents continue to escalate FOREIGNER's influence and guide the band to new horizons. Jones reformed the band after a 2002 hiatus and selected lead singer Kelly Hansen to help write an inspired new chapter in the history of FOREIGNER. One of rock's greatest showmen, Hansen is among the most respected, consummate professionals in rock and roll. With a 40-year career that spans almost every area of music, from the role of lead vocalist to producing and engineering, Hansen has led FOREIGNER into the digital age while inspiring a whole new generation of fans.
FOREIGNER's lineup also includes noted Dokken bassist Jeff Pilson, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, guitarist Bruce Watson, Chris Frazier on drums and guitarist Luis Carlos Maldonado. An unprecedented new level of energy led the group to a re-emergence of astounding music that speaks to FOREIGNER's enduring popularity.
FOREIGNER recently announced the beginning of their Farewell Tour on national television. The tour will commence on July 6th, 2023 in Atlanta, GA and is expected to take two years or so to complete. The goal is to visit all the cities where the band has played since its reformation in 2004.

I HOPE THEY COME BACK TO PLAY. WHAT AN EXTREMELY TALENTED GROUP. DIRY WHITE BOY WAS THE BEST ALONG WITH JUKEBOX HERO.
Such a great show. The driving tunes kept the energy level at 10+
Excellent show, brought back a lot of old memories.
It was great to finally see Foreigner LIVE!! Great show! Foreigner still has it!!
I was very excited to see this show even if Lou Gramm was no longer performing with them. My disappointment comes from the fact that Mick Jones has been out sick for a while and another touring guitarist was filling in for him. For two tickets my cost was just over $150. While the show was good, I can't see the justification for that much money for basically fill in musicians covering Foreigner songs. I wouldn't recommend anyone spending that much for a ticket unless Mick or Lou is touring with THEIR band. Side note: New lead singer Kelly Hansen did a great job on vocals and had great showmanship.
Foreigner has had about 40 people go through the band over the years, but the 2 founding guys that really defined their sound (and wrote most of the hits) were Mick Jones and Lou Gramm. Lou hasn't been with the band for over 10 years, but Mick is still leading the charge. We were disappointed to see that Mick wasn't there for the Hampton Beach show - assuming it was health related and, if so, hoping he is back at it soon. With Mick out of the lineup, it essentially became a Foreigner tribute band, as none of the guys on stage were part of the band when the songs they were playing were written! Putting that aside, the band sounded great and the songs are timeless - they really rocked the place and we had a blast. Would have given it 4 stars if Mick had been there, and they also could have played a bit longer and pulled one or two more "historic" songs out - maybe including Starrider or Head Knocker!
This is the 3rd time we saw Foreigner. Each time seem to get better and better. Only problem was the venue needs to do a better job of removing people who stand near the stand and not at their seats.
Foreigner - laid their heart and soul out on the stage Friday night. If you are a Foreigner fan than this concert was for you.
Best show ever. The whole band was amazing!! I will follow this band and see them over and over again.
Great show. All the hits played to perfection. Band appeared to be having a great time. Rock n Roll at it's finest. Great relation with the crowd...
The show was fabulous. They played all of their hits and sounded amazing. The Casino Ballroom is a great venue to see a show. Not a bad seat in the house.
Band sounded amazing. It was a high energy on your feet good old fashioned rock concert!!! This is my first time seeing a show at the Newport Yachting Center and I was very impressed. It's a great place to have a drink with friends and watch a show.
It was a totally unforgettable concert, the energy Kelly gives and creates is palpable thru the whole concert. All the band members give it their all, feeding off the crowd. I could'nt stop dancing!
The band sounded pretty good, but since there were no original members at the event, it might as well been a cover band. The listing as Foreigner is deceiving. Would not have attended if this was known.
The band totally rocked Newport RI. Everyone in the audience was on their feet dancing singing and woohooing!! This was the best value for my money unlike other concerts that are over priced and not worth spending the money!!!
never was a big fan of the band back in the day as I preferred my rock on the harder side ( think ac/dc, ufo, thin lizzy) so I never bothered to see Foreigner, or pay them much attention. But time has mellowed me just a bit and I figured, why not ? Friday night, Newport, Outdoor arena on the harbor, what's to lose ? Well, Man was I happy I attended ! Sure the band probably only has 1 or 2 original members, but that has be a good thing. Talented, enthusiastic musicians played ALL of their hits, and most of all, all of their harmonies. Professional at it's best, without being too polished and over rehearsed. Was a great night, and the new singer, or the replacement for Lou Gramm, Kelly Hansen, was spot on. He's got a little Steve Tyler in him, and thats a good thing. Good job guys, you did the band's reputation well.
Good band who still play with lots of passion. Kelly Hanson improving with age. Too bad Mick Jones (architect of Foreigner) was not on stage. Overall still very good. I would definitely come to see them again.
forget all the bad reviews, this is a great, high energy show ! this band really ROCKS !!!! the lead singer/frontman is so energetic,i don't know how he stays on his feet for the entire 2 hour show. he and the band must totally collapse after the show.
since m. jones did not show up for this event, it was as others have described it, The "new" foreigner, and not what i signed up for. they did all the songs really well, and put on a great show, but without any original members, it is still a tribute band. I was a little dissapointed. But it was a great show and the band gave an excellant show.
Fabulous performance, every song, every vocal note was solid and right on. And the energy, don't know how they do it. Jumping and rocking like a bounc of kids on stage, just like back in the day. Thoroughly engaging the audience, you couldn't ask for a better performance or bunch of first class performers. A+
