Florida Panthers History

The Florida Panthers began play in the NHL in the 1993-1994 season. The team won the Presidents Trophy for the 2021–2022 season, earning the most points during the regular season. The Panthers then reached the Stanley Cup Final in the 2023-2023 season, though they lost to the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4.

However, victory was theirs next season, when the Panthers won their first Stanley Cup in the franchise’s history. The 2024 Stanley Cup Final was a thrilling seven-game series, which saw Florida win 2-1 at their home venue of Amerant Bank Arena. In 2025, the Panthers clinched their second consecutive Stanley Cup title, locking in back-to-back NHL championships.

  • Good experience but cheerleaders obstructed view of goal

by Greg S. on 2/14/23FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 4 out of 5

The venue was excellent. Concessions had good service. The order from your seat website was not functioning properly. Our seats were great, above the goal where the home team goalie is during 1st and 3rd periods. The Panther cheerleaders performed immediately in front of us. No big deal - except that they stay standing while the teams play and that means the one cheerleader obstructs the view of the goal. I expected them to either step back or sit down while the game action was on. Big kudos for offering the discounted parking pass in advance as there isn’t any other parking option. And the arena did a great job of getting the parking lot cleared quickly!

First time to a game was amazing had a great time !

  • Horrible Fans

by 80’s Music Lover on 2/9/23FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 1 out of 5

We had unruly fans screaming obscenities and out of control during the whole game. We sent 3 text and complained to an usher and was told that someone would correct this. We ended up leaving early due to this. The sad part? They were Tampa fans and so are we. Panthers season ticket holders had to change seats to get away from them. I would NEVER go to this arena again for any entertainment as in Tampa they would have been thrown out.

  • Had a great time!

by acrossvet on 1/25/23FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 5 out of 5

We had a great time. Parking was easy because we prepaid on line. Getting in was easy and the game itself was exciting. It was military appreciation night and we enjoyed that as well. Everything was organized and easy and exciting. Definitely recommend people checking this out. You will have a blast!

  • Great venue, higher charges to park than other arenas

by Spencerzf on 12/24/22FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 4 out of 5

First time here for a game. Great experience overall. The arenas and views were excellent. The charge for parking was really high compared to many down town arenas. With mediocre public transit options, that was a downer for the overall experience

  • Another swell trip to pantherland

by Jason D on 12/20/22FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 4 out of 5

Great game good concessions and some nice merchandise

  • Penguins vs Panthers

by LJ on 12/18/22FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 4 out of 5

Paying $35 to park is robbery! That’s outrageous! People in front of us sitting in the wrong seats because nobody checks. Then they sat next to us. Then they left to go elsewhere. The game was good and fans were ok until we left and crude comments about Penguins. $7 for small box of M&M’s is ridiculous also. Tickets were very affordable but the rest of the expenses put going out of reach for average people.

  • Penguins South Florida Home Game

by Jerry on 12/18/22FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 5 out of 5

Pittsburgh Penguins vs Florida Panthers game in South Florida felt like a Penguins Home Game. The Panther Banging on the Drum during play was a major Distraction and was met with “Lets Go Penguins “ chant. Great Venue, great fans both teams that made for a safe, exciting family experience for all ages.

  • Limited food options

by Jeff on 12/11/22FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 3 out of 5

Food options are unusually limited for such an arena

  • Great venue

by Kaalow on 11/24/22Rating: 5 out of 5

I been there fir several games and the venue is great, I sit in the club experience and can't complain, the people complaining are out of towners.

  • Great venue, great service but dirty bathrooms.

    by P. S. on 11/20/22FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 5 out of 5

Attended the Panthers-Stars game last week. Was really please with the incredible venue, the great service and food. Staff were incredible. The only problem I encountered was the mens bathroom. During the start of the second intermission I need to use the facilities, upon entering the bathroom I noticed that it was dirty. I thought the upscale area we were in, the Corona Club, that we would have clean bathrooms. Everything else was great, we are returning Wednesday to see the Bruins, hopefully the bathrooms are clean.

  • Awesome game

  • Great!

First time to a hockey game and loved it! Panthers has a new fan.

  • Decent game, uncomfortable environment

by JBR on 11/1/22FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 1 out of 5

The game between Ottawa and Florida was pretty good. However, there is too much noise pollution at these games. The audio announcements and music are way too loud. Plus, every time there is a stoppage in play, the arena feels obligated to play music or noise to supposedly motivate the fans. This is quite annoying. You can’t even talk to the people beside you for all the noise.

  • Disappoinment/Club Level - Section 26, Row 8

by TR on 10/26/22FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 1 out of 5

I can easily accept the service fee, high price on parking and food, etc., as the Panthers are my team and understand the challenges in our local market for hockey. What I cannot accept - and will keep me from attending as many games this season as previously planned - was the crowd of people hovering constantly behind me on the club level. I always sit in row eight - last row on the club level - so that the game can be watched without distractions. More and more, people linger behind you and don't go to their seats. Yelling over your back or rattling the row of seats has been commonplace, but during the Islanders game, they also put their food and drink on the arm rests of row eight. I missed Ryan Lomberg's winning goal as a beer was adjusted on the next arm rest from the fan, whose seat in period one was in row seven, now stood behind me. I had already moved five seats - from #5 to #10 - to try and avoid the assembling crowd. Why don't they institute a rule where you're not allowed to stand within six feet of the last row from behind? Similar to a football sideline, the usher can very politely ask people to "get back a little" when stepping over the line. Until this issue is addressed, I will be watching the Panthers on TV rather than in person.

  • Mostly good experience

by DD on 10/24/22FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 4 out of 5

While understanding they want you to park in the overpriced arena lot, most people park at Sawgrass Mills...but they've made it so we had to walk an extra half mile if you try to cross near the Target. Getting inside was easy and there were plenty of food options pre-game. During the intermissions though, you had to endure incredibly long lines for the bathrooms and refreshments, causing us to miss puck drop for the 2nd period. Additionally, there was a push to sign up for the FLA Live app, which was supposed to allow you to pay for food with a mobile wallet option, but it didnt work every time i tried it and arena workers told me it never works. The atmosphere was fun and the game was fun. Sound in half the arena cut out numerous times. Room for improvement but an easy arena to get into and out of.
