Florence and the Machine in Concert
There’s a reason why South London musicians Florence Welch and Isabella “The Machine” Summers, a.k.a. Florence and the Machine, have filled stadiums, amphitheaters, and concert halls worldwide to max capacity. Ask any fan and they’ll tell you that their lush, genre-defying indie art rock sounds even better live than on their multi award-winning studio albums. Indeed, their reputation for putting on phenomenal shows has fans eagerly anticipating tour dates and pouncing on tickets as soon as they’re available. Why such devotion? Florence’s energetic, fiery stage presence matches her signature crimson tresses, adding that much more drama to such orchestral gems as “Cosmic Love,” “Dog Days Are Over,” “No Light, No Light,” “Rabbit Heart (Raise it Up)”—just to name a few. What’s more, their artful, literary lyrics, soaring vocals, and theatrical concerts have caused critics to draw comparisons to Kate Bush and Siouxsie and the Banshees. However, despite their old school appeal, their style is fresh enough to attract fans of Adele, Amy Winehouse, and Beyoncé (who also counts herself as a hug Florence fan).

The band was just amazing, Florence is such a great voice and talent, and the opening band wet leg, those guys really rock it!!!
Florence is an amazing artist and you should see her perform if you ever have a chance. That being said the “accessibility” of shoreline as a venue is terrible. I have an injured foot and parking is super far away. My dad has a defibrillator device and staff seem confused by the fact he cannot go though a magnetic security system as it will literally mess with his heart. It made getting into the venue much more stressful than it needed to be. Staff could use additional training on how to do accessible services.
This is by far the greatest show I’ve been to all year and it’s already November.
Great venue, great seats, phenomenal performance!!!!
Beautiful venue….amazing performance…however, there was some putrid smell wafting thru the air out near the lawn area. It came and went but it was there it was truly horrid and made you want to vomit. Not sure if they have a septic issue or just need to clean up better (maybe it was barf/garbage)….but aside from that it was fantastic!!
I hurt my back the day before the concert. I could not attend so tried to sell tickets on Ticketmaster. It was absurdly difficult and I ended up eating the tickets. Very disappointing.
This woman has an Amazon contagious energy and the audience just felt it and recreated it! Really good set list but missing You’ve got the love?! Spectrum? Overall great experience!
This was my first time going to see Florence + the machine. I used to listen to them in high school and oh my god her vocal range?! The mere talent and strength her voice has when she sings it was so worth it. The way she interacts with the crowd too! Joining in close to the audience a lot of artists don’t really do that anymore. I’m so down to see her again and hopefully save up for front row next time and also for when she does live orchestra !
The concert was incredible. But parking shouldn’t take 45 minutes. Missed the first half of the opener just waiting in a crazy line.
Florence have an amazing voice as all we know, but we couldn't appreciate it because the sound quality was terrible, and songs like The Love sounded very bad, and it should have been the best. Florence amazing, but not the sound.
Performance in every aspect of the word! I went in expecting it to be awesome, but it still managed to blow me totally away. The combination of incredible artistic talent, choreography, audience participation and shear love of her craft comes shining through time and time again. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone.
We’re definitely fans and will see her again and again
Florence was a brilliant performer and sounded as good in person as she does on recording.
Everything was pretty much great. I would have preferred to not have been preached to by the singer about Abortion. She said everyone has a right to choose. If that is her belief then doesn't the baby after 15 weeks have a right to choose to live? Kind of hypocritical to say what she did. Performers should perform and keep their politics at home. This was my third and now last time attending her concerts.
Perfection personified. She is a goddess. See her if you can.
Florence is such an amazing experience. I felt so many emotions throughout the show, going from tears streaming down my face to laughing in a matter of minutes. Her songs hold so much emotion and i can’t put into words how amazing this experience was.
So we were surrounded by mainly 35 ish year old woman in semi-goth and princess Medieval wear so we felt right at home. Dramatic. Powerful show. Loved it.
Florence Welch is an amazing performer and her band is also astounding! The set and lighting were phenomenal. I loved having floor tickets, the venue did a great job with the flow of getting into the venue and accessing bathrooms and refreshments.
Florence is one of best performers I’ve ever seen, & I’ve seen my share! There is nothing to compare her to. Go & have the experience of a lifetime yourself!!
