About

FLEETWOOD MAC IN CONCERT:

The Rumours are true: Fleetwood Mac will be joined by Christine McVie for their 2014 world tour, and the band is just as excited about it as their fans. McVie left the band for personal reasons back in 1998, making the Mac's subsequent touring somewhat of a bittersweet experience for concertgoers. Bittersweet no more, however — fans lucky enough to score a ticket to Fleetwood Mac's 2014 On With the Show tour will get to experience McVie classics like "Everywhere" and "Little Lies" alongside Fleetwood Mac staples like "Dreams" and "Rhiannon," marking the first time in nearly 20 years the band's classic lineup has toured together.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Legendary British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac was formed in 1967 by Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood. After moderate success as a no-frills blues band in the late '60s, the group underwent a turbulent period marked by lineup changes and lawsuits in the early '70s. With the additions of Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks by 1975, the band entered their most successful period, riding to both critical and commercial acclaim with a string of No. 1 albums including Rumours (1977) and Mirage (1982). The group's chemistry both in and out of the studio resulted in some of the era's most enduring hits, and the continued popularity of songs like "Dreams," "Gypsy," and "Sara," have made them one of the top-selling acts of all time. Following Christine McVie's departure in 1998, the band continued to tour with a scaled-down lineup, thrilling fans in 2014 with the announcement of McVie's return for their On With the Show tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"This was the best concert that I have seen in years. They can still rock the house. Stevie Nicks still has a fantastic voice. Lindsey's guitar playing was out of this world."

"Stevie hasn't sounded this flawless in almost 20 years. Just absolutely awesome. GREAT energy by everybody in the band. The chemistry was excellent and I think the band had as good of a time as the audience."

"Extremely enjoyable----the band is absolutely PROFESSIONAL---onstage for 2 1/2+ hours and appearing to enjoy every minute. Their sound is magnificent----unbelievable for 40 years in the business!!"

  • Fleetwood Mac = Legendary and Magical!

    by ClassicRocker1968 on 4/14/15The Forum - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

While it was definitely a hassle getting to the Forum in Friday night rush hour, once we were there it was fantastic. A friendly employee directed us to our seats, Fleetwood Mac came on stage right at 8:30pm, and we were grateful they started a little later than 8. What followed was about two and half hours of non-stop, pure magic! Stevie looked and sounded great, the band showed special appreciation for Christine McVie's return, and Lindsey Buckingham had sooo many amazing guitar solos. It was high energy, and every song you hoped they would play, they played! I loved the encore too.

  • Fleetwood Mac was Magical!

by Andigk on 4/14/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Some bands don't sound as good live as in their recordings; Fleetwood Mac was just the opposite. The truly incredible quality of the music, sound, and voices was matched with the amazing chemistry of the bandmates - especially Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. Their Landslide performance was magical - I wanted to stay in that moment. I heard classics and some new tunes - it all was 2+ hours gone too soon. A marvelous, memorable concert. Yeah, they've still got it.

  • The show was great --the sound management terrible

by MizAngelika on 4/14/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

We were very excited about this show. Fleetwood Mac is one of our favorite groups and the show featured all the original members. We were looking forward to a fantastic show and we were not disappointed. They were fantastic. Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks were songbirds once more. Lindsey Buckingham barred his soul in his songs and incredible guitar solos. Every great song from their albums were preformed and the show was memorable. Stevie Nicks dance was a flash back to the 70's -- awesome. The MGM Grand Garden Arena is a great venue. The downside to the event -- and a sad downside -- was the sound management. The volume of John McVie's bass was so loud it overwhelmed the music. You could not even hear the background vocals or Christie's keyboard. The massive boom boom from the bass and Mick's foot pedal were deafening. We've been to the MGM Grand Garden Arena before for other concerts and this was never the case until now. Somebody had best get the sound crew to fix this -- it almost spoiled the evening.

Good show but disappointed they didn't do "Monday Morning".

  • More Nicks, Christine, less Buckingham

by maskedpoet on 4/14/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

You can't ever go wrong with a Fleetwood Mac concert but when I saw them in the mid 90s at the Hollywood Bowl, it was a lot better than the touring show now. I wanted to see Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie sing more of their songs, and I wanted a lot less of Lindsay Buckingham. His gallivanting around stage pretending to be Chuck Berry looked uncoordinated and his solos were relatively unfamiliar to the average concert goer.

  • Fleetwood Mac was awesome!!

Fantastic concert and awesome venue. One of the best concerts I have been to by far!

  • Fleetwood Mac still has it all!!!!

by Marybee54 on 4/14/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

This group is as good now as it ever was. Two hours of unforgettable performances. The audience could not stay in their seats. Lindsey Grahams guitar was on fire! Stevie and Christine's voices are still amazing. Mac is the master of the drums. Loved every minute and I hated to see it end.

  • The Chain

by klingon on 4/14/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The Chain was reunited with the addition of Christie McVie to Fleetwood Mac for the first time in over 20 years. It was great to have the addition of her melodious voice to the other 4 band members. Her songs, sung by her, were a delight to the ears. Overall, the concert was not much different than the rest of the times (4) that I have seen the group. However, it is always a pleasure to hear their music live and in person. Mic and the drums, Lindsey and the guitar and Stevie singing and spinning made for a wonderful evening, especially along with John's bass rifts. The concert was one more wonderful experience with the group.

  • Fleetwood Mac rocked the house!!!

by longscout on 4/14/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Christine, Stevie and the guys we're absolutely amazing. I've never experienced a rock band that continued to sound as outstanding forty years into their careers. The great music brought back wonderful memories and even a tear or two. I'll go see them again for sure

  • Fantastic!

  • Slow start

by Jake923 on 4/14/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Haven't seen these guys in years, excitement/anticipation was high. Slow start to the concert, but about 30min in, it was awesome

  • Fleetwood Mac @ MGM Garden Arena

by rx3858 on 4/14/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Fleetwood Mac was outstanding. Christy and Stevie have lost a little, but who really cares? Lindsey was full of energy and sang and played his heart out. Mick was outstanding doing his solo during the false encore. The only issue is with the Garden Arena. The floor seats are not sloped, so if someone stands in the rows in front of you (like up to 10), you have to stand also. Since my wife is short, she had to listen to most of the concert.

  • Fleetwood Mac: On With The Show UNFORGETABLE

by SELL1 on 4/14/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

There was magic. There was Love and There was awe in the air. Lindsey was amazing on the guitar and the return of Christine brought unity back to the group. I have seen the group in the past but thois concert was by far the best that I Have ever heard or witnessed.

  • wonderful

Best concert of the year, waited a long time for Fleetwood to all get back together

  • Unforgettable show!

by MyklChi on 4/14/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I was lucky enough to see the #3 stop on the tour and the #78, absolutely amazing performance. The rock icons are well into their sixties (Christine is 71) and still perform with amazing talent. Their song writing talents are top notch, Stevie Nicks give as amazing of an experience as ever, Lindsey has some incredible guitar solos, as does Mick on the drums. It is fantastic to see Christine with the band again and to hear her perform her classic hits, even closing the show with Songbird. I have definitely decided to drop $600 on front row seats if they tour again!

  • Fleetwood Mac was more than we expected!!

by SlidellFan on 4/14/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Having the whole group performing live was an awesome experience. I can't decide which performer was the best because they all played & sung their hearts out. I would definitely recommend this show to anyone who likes Fleetwood Mac. Where are they going next? I may just have to go.

  • On With The Show was amazing!

by MissyT705 on 4/14/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Fleetwood Mac does not disappoint. Fabulous band enjoys their art and brings incredible energy to the audience. Even jokes about their relationships within the band and, "well documented" past. So fun! Would like to go again.

  • awesome

by 55quebec on 4/14/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Stevie Nix voice was great; however lacking in dance steps, she is no shakira!! lindsey buckingham"s energy out of this world; mic fleetwood"s drum set after show ended was out of this universe; so glad was able to attend this specific concert; overall better than ones I saw in 80s and 90s.

  • Fleetwood Mac - MGM Las Vegas

by magicticket on 4/14/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Great band, great songs, and good show except for two things: 1. The volume was turned up to 12. Way, way too loud. Could not hear the singers because the instrumentals were too loud. Everything was at the same high volume. Very annoying. Saw many people covering their ears. Why does it have to be that way? 2. They played about 3-4 songs that I never heard of, but they (the individual songs) went on, and on, and on forever. A guy behind be said "Aren't they done, yet?" The show went for 2.5+ hours. Definitely got money's worth. They talked to the audience and established rapport.

  • Inconsiderate Smartphone Users Ruin The Floor

by Supershouper on 4/14/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

What was a brilliant performance by the band was ruined by 100s of idiots trying to capture videos of the moment. Looking across the floor we could not see the stage because of the sea of small video displays poking up at the end of outstretched hands. What was even worse is some of these idiots did not turn off their LED lights causing a white glow across the heads in front of them. Doesn't anyone know that these videos are going to look and sound terrible. I thought the point of going to a live show was to see the show, not to stare at the show through a small screen. We've been to concerts where this is not allowed. Maybe in the future there can be a phone free zone. I would pay a premium for that!!! I am going to think twice about buying seats on the floor again because of this experience. Oh, BTW, the seats on the floor were so narrow my wife was pinned up against me because of a overly large man to her right.
