FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS IN CONCERT:
Retro indie-pop group Fitz and the Tantrums are keeping the Motown Sound alive and well with their modern take on classic soul and funk. Combining call-and-response vocals, backbeat tambourines, and vintage-inspired instrumentation, the band's electric live shows are equal parts shimmy and shake, inspiring nonstop dance parties as fans sing along to infectious pop masterpieces like "MoneyGrabber" and "Out of My League." Riding high on the success of their sophomore album More than Just a Dream, Fitz and the Tantrums are set to treat fans to another round of unforgettable shows on tour in 2014.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Michael Fitzpatrick formed LA-based Fitz and the Tantrums in 2008 after purchasing a Conn electronic organ -- an instrument that would prove vital in the development of the band's retro sound. The group performed their first show just one week after their first rehearsal, underscoring an effortless chemistry that was readily apparent on their 2009 debut EP Songs for a Breakup, Vol. 1. After touring with Maroon 5 and performing at SXSW, the band signed with Dangerbird Records for their 2010 debut LP Pickin' Up the Pieces. The album landed at No. 1 on the Billboard's Heatseekers Albums Chart, establishing the group as one of the most promising rising talents in indie-pop and paving the way for 2013 sophomore effort More than Just a Dream — a Top 40 hit on the Billboard 200.

Went to see Fitz and the tantrums with sandy Grammer. Two awesome acts. Both performed new and old favorites to everyone’s enjoyment. The real stand out for me was the opening act Maggie Rose. WOW what a voice. I mean this girl had some serious pipes. All in all it was an incredibly enjoyable show with perfect weather. Could not have had a better time. Check ‘em out if they come your way.

Loved the venue at St. Louis Park. Easy parking and get away. Andy Grammer gave a great concert full of great music, great backdrops and his wonderful connection to the crowd of all ages. The kids were dancing in the isle and singing along with him.
It wasn't the most energetic of performances I've seen, but they are still one of my favorite dance groups ever.
As you can tell by my nickname I’m from the over 50 set but I loved every minute of this concert. Between Breland, Andy Grammar and of course, Fitz and the Tantrums, there was never a dull moment. You were either singing along or moving with the performers. Uplifting and entertaining- You won’t be disappointed.
I have never seen a bad show from Fitz and the Tantrums. At the 8/6 show, they had everyone on their feet & singing along from the first song. Fitz & Noelle interact so well with each other and the audience. James was amazing as always on the saxophone. One of the best live bands out there!
Easy check in process, lots of food and drink booths setup. The concert itself was phenomenal!
Opening acts killed it. Love new hearing a new one, and another great one (Andy Grammer❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️) But FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS, Handsome, one of the best groups out there! Their music resonates with so many people, and is FUN!!!!! Even “I NEED HELP” is the best damn song to jam and sing and feel better!!! My youngest just turned 12. For his birthday, I brought him and 3 of his best buds to their first concert. F&TT absolutely blew their minds!!! I cannot wait to see them again and dance my night away!!! Thank you!!!!
I went to the concert to see Andy Grammer. He was terrific. The opening act was also great. I did not stay for the last act. I would see him again every time.
The opening of Andy Grammer was awesome! I enjoyed Honey I’m Good, Fine by Me, and Good to be Alive! He was a great singer and musician! I also like the trumpet solo that he did in one of the songs! I also like seeing Fitz and the Tantrums band! I enjoyed listening to Out of my League, Handclap, and The Walker! They were a wonderful and entertaining band! I really enjoyed the concert! It was so much fun!
Fitz and Andy Grammer did not disappoint. Fun concert in a smaller venue was amazing. Third time seeing both over the last few years but this was the best having them together. Perfect name for the tour! Was a party!
What a great venue for a show! We bought general admission tickets and were able to be right up against the stage. Highly recommend seeing a show there!

This is my third time seeing Fitz and The Tantrums in person and they never disappoint. They play full out at every live performance and always put you in a happy mood.
This was the first concert/live music performance I've ever been to and I had the best time! I've been listening to Fitz and the Tantrums music for a while and was ecstatic to be able to see them live. Andy Grammar's performance was great as well, and you could tell he put his heart and soul into the performance. Fitz and the Tantrums were amazing and this did not disappoint. The show truly gave us our money's worth, as we were there for approx 4 hours. 5 out of 5, would do it again!
I REALLY loved Andy, Unfortunately, I had to leave one song into the Tantrums bc of the excessive strobes. They had 6 at eye level going at all times, along with full screen. The 2 nurses beside me said it was huge hazard and a group behind left as well. I had VIP tickets but couldn’t stay. Was really sad by overkill of flashing. Other two acts didn’t need or do.
The entire show was amazing, Andy Grammer dynamic, fun, talented, a JOY!! and Fitz and the Tantrums blew the place apart!! Music was excellent...sound, lights, rhythm, set list...all perfect! Each and every entertainer was so nice, and grateful to be performing again and the audience loved it!!!
The venue was great, and the show was even better! Was disappointed to see the crowd thin out after Andy Grammer was finished, because Fitz and the Tantrums are amazing and deserved better - but it did make my show experience a little better with a smaller crowd. Would absolutely see either artist again, and would definitely see another show GA at this venue.
Had a blast long weekend and a great show. Got sing and dance and have a some fun!!!
This concert and venue were amazing. The energy from all three performances was high energy! Both Andy Grammar and Fitz and the Tantrums sound better live than on the radio…sign of true artists!!! The venue was great and I loved the we could get up close and actually see the performers. We felt safe and the crowds were well managed. Would love to see these artists again and will definitely return to Hard Rock Live!
