FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS IN CONCERT:
Retro indie-pop group Fitz and the Tantrums are keeping the Motown Sound alive and well with their modern take on classic soul and funk. Combining call-and-response vocals, backbeat tambourines, and vintage-inspired instrumentation, the band's electric live shows are equal parts shimmy and shake, inspiring nonstop dance parties as fans sing along to infectious pop masterpieces like "MoneyGrabber" and "Out of My League." Riding high on the success of their sophomore album More than Just a Dream, Fitz and the Tantrums are set to treat fans to another round of unforgettable shows on tour in 2014.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Michael Fitzpatrick formed LA-based Fitz and the Tantrums in 2008 after purchasing a Conn electronic organ -- an instrument that would prove vital in the development of the band's retro sound. The group performed their first show just one week after their first rehearsal, underscoring an effortless chemistry that was readily apparent on their 2009 debut EP Songs for a Breakup, Vol. 1. After touring with Maroon 5 and performing at SXSW, the band signed with Dangerbird Records for their 2010 debut LP Pickin' Up the Pieces. The album landed at No. 1 on the Billboard's Heatseekers Albums Chart, establishing the group as one of the most promising rising talents in indie-pop and paving the way for 2013 sophomore effort More than Just a Dream — a Top 40 hit on the Billboard 200.

Fitzs was great and the warmup band was just as good.
Saw Fitz and the Tantrums several times and was mesmerized each time please come back to the New Jersey/ Philadelphia area. I listen to Fitz and the Tantrums music radio everyday
Amazing performers, fun, contagious, out-of-your seat dance music. We we're lukewarm fans before the concert and are now HUGE fans.
Put on an amazing show in an outdoor show during the day and in a heat advisor. Awesome band!!
We had a group of four and we had a great time. We loved the first band, Brother Elsey. Would definitely recommend this venue and would love to see the bands when they are in town again.
2nd time seeing Fitz & The Tantrums at the Paramount. The best venue on Long Island!❤️
What a great fun band! Didn’t stop dancing the whole time. The Paramount is an amazing venue
Never saw them before. I was unbelievably pleasantly surprised at how good they are in concert !
This was such an awesome experience. I love this band. There were so many families there with young children...it was just refreshing to see a very hip, modern band NOT swearing and singing about sex. The friend I was with had not heard of them before, but she was totally impressed, and we were playing all their songs on the way home. I'm just sorry that the theater was not full. All I can say is that folks lost out on a great, fantastic evening of energetic, happy, uplifting music and entertainment!
The show was simply amazing! The energy and positive vibes were radiant throughout the entire show! I danced the ENTIRE time and didn't want the show to end.
Have been listening and following Fitz and the Tantrums since 2010. Saw an early interview of Fitz and thought highly of his work. The first time I saw them was at the Mercury Ballroom. The second time when they opened for Bruno Mars. I was dancing to Money Grabber then looked around to see no one else was dancing. That’s when I realized no one knew who they were. This time they were at Iroquois Amphitheater and it was a hot summer evening. They sounded great and had everyone dancing. Which made me happy to not be the only one vibing to the groove. Fitz told a heart warming story of how he got started in the business at a late ageand then they had the children in the audience come up on stage and sing with them towards they end of the show. That was the best!
Title says it all. Sub-Radio got up there and rocked the crowd’s faces off the crowd. I immediately went and bought their album from the merch table and have been listening to it non-stop - wow!!!
Yes. They made me forget I’m in my late 50s, tired from work, and suffering back pain. By the end of the show, I was jumping up and down in the aisle down front and fist pumping like I was 38 going on 39. Second time seeing them and they still deliver!!! Also, shout out to Sub Radio!!! Been following them for a couple years on TikTok and had no idea they were opening! What an added value experience!!!
Just the perfect experience and a great venue! The band had so much energy throughout the show so we danced the night away!
Sub Radio, opening act, was not only good but a well picked act, fit very well. Fitz & the Tantrums were excellent. High energy but not over the top. Very enjoyable listening. Could ever make out the lyrics.
The vip meet and greet needs a lot of work, we waited in the baking heat for 2 hours then had to fight to get our seats which should have been first choice before others due to the price. The autographed poster was not signed by all the band members and one band member many wanted to see was not there for the photograph
I saw Fitz and the Tantrums when I was 11 years old, right before covid started. I was a huge fan back then and it was the most exciting ever for me- I felt so grown up. Even though it was a small venue, it was a great concert and the band played all of my favorite songs! This was a core memory for me in my tween years, and I definitely won’t forget it!
We had a perfect summer evening for the outdoor concert at Chateau Ste Michelle! The weather was not too hot, not too cold, and we arrived early enough to get a prime spot on the lawn, then chatted with each other and ate our packed snacks until the opening act. We didn't purchase any food but looked like there was a wide array to choose from. Fitz and the Tantrums was phenomenal: fun, lively, engaging. The opening act was very hard to hear unfortunately. We purchased onsite parking and appreciated how quickly traffic flowed after the concert. Rated only 4 stars because the Ticketmaster app was giving me trouble on multiple occasions. I was able to transfer tickets to my friends but could not download to my electronic wallet or transfer to myself until closer to the date.
Fitz and the band are pros. Sound was very clear and tight. The Winery has limited parking at a high cost. Between 20 and 50 to 75 dollars. The layout of the Winery is odd, and if you do not like extremely over priced wine you will be disappointed. No beer or alcohol is served, only wine. Your view of the show can easlily become obstructed, due to slope. Even the reserved seats can be hard to see if you are not over six feet tall.
Fitz and the Tantrums really delivered. We were particularly impressed with Noelle Scaggs vocals. The entire group had an amazing energy that kept the crowd engaged.
