FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS IN CONCERT:
Retro indie-pop group Fitz and the Tantrums are keeping the Motown Sound alive and well with their modern take on classic soul and funk. Combining call-and-response vocals, backbeat tambourines, and vintage-inspired instrumentation, the band's electric live shows are equal parts shimmy and shake, inspiring nonstop dance parties as fans sing along to infectious pop masterpieces like "MoneyGrabber" and "Out of My League." Riding high on the success of their sophomore album More than Just a Dream, Fitz and the Tantrums are set to treat fans to another round of unforgettable shows on tour in 2014.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Michael Fitzpatrick formed LA-based Fitz and the Tantrums in 2008 after purchasing a Conn electronic organ -- an instrument that would prove vital in the development of the band's retro sound. The group performed their first show just one week after their first rehearsal, underscoring an effortless chemistry that was readily apparent on their 2009 debut EP Songs for a Breakup, Vol. 1. After touring with Maroon 5 and performing at SXSW, the band signed with Dangerbird Records for their 2010 debut LP Pickin' Up the Pieces. The album landed at No. 1 on the Billboard's Heatseekers Albums Chart, establishing the group as one of the most promising rising talents in indie-pop and paving the way for 2013 sophomore effort More than Just a Dream — a Top 40 hit on the Billboard 200.

The whole concert is so high energy, I was dancing the whole time with much of the crowd. They seem like genuine people as well - really appreciative of the fans."
I danced for the entire show. I'm almost 50 and have rheumatoid arthritis.
Great music and energy. Great message for the audience. Just exceptional. See them if you have a chance!

Fitz and the Tantrums concert is now 1 of the top 10 show's I have been too.
Absolutely fantastic! Great energy and the group sounded so good. The synergy between the main singers was intoxicating. I didn't realize I knew so many of the songs and both my husband and I will definitely go see Fitz and The Tantrums again. The venue is outstanding as it's intimate with drinks and restrooms close by. Not a bad seat in the house.
Fabulous as always. They always bring their " A" game and put on a very energetic show.
Venue was intimate. Seats were amazing. The band was super great, fun, energetic, and just seem like great people.

Great vocals & energy! Everyone was on their feet for the entire concert!
unfortunately the person next to me took up part of my seat as well as their own. the good news was that everyone stood for the concert
Fitz and the T's always put on a great show. I just wish they had played longer. The show was just over an hour.
I enjoyed the warm up music. Fitz and the Tantrums were great. I loved the mix of older hits and new songs.
I've been wanting to see Fitz and The Tantrums for a long while and finally got the chance. They performed so well live. Amazing energy and crowd interaction. I was super impressed with how well they played live -- the sound quality/engineering was unusually good. I would highly recommend catching this band live!! You won't regret it.
From the first song to the last the song the energy was and music was great
A ballroom is not the best place to have a concert. Difficult to see and the sound was only OK. Having the lights behind the band didn't help. Also, I thought the concert seemed frantic. I've seen them twice before and both times were more enjoyable.
Love this group! Lots of energy on stage and I crowd! Great show all around!
