FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS IN CONCERT:
Retro indie-pop group Fitz and the Tantrums are keeping the Motown Sound alive and well with their modern take on classic soul and funk. Combining call-and-response vocals, backbeat tambourines, and vintage-inspired instrumentation, the band's electric live shows are equal parts shimmy and shake, inspiring nonstop dance parties as fans sing along to infectious pop masterpieces like "MoneyGrabber" and "Out of My League." Riding high on the success of their sophomore album More than Just a Dream, Fitz and the Tantrums are set to treat fans to another round of unforgettable shows on tour in 2014.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Michael Fitzpatrick formed LA-based Fitz and the Tantrums in 2008 after purchasing a Conn electronic organ -- an instrument that would prove vital in the development of the band's retro sound. The group performed their first show just one week after their first rehearsal, underscoring an effortless chemistry that was readily apparent on their 2009 debut EP Songs for a Breakup, Vol. 1. After touring with Maroon 5 and performing at SXSW, the band signed with Dangerbird Records for their 2010 debut LP Pickin' Up the Pieces. The album landed at No. 1 on the Billboard's Heatseekers Albums Chart, establishing the group as one of the most promising rising talents in indie-pop and paving the way for 2013 sophomore effort More than Just a Dream — a Top 40 hit on the Billboard 200.

The energy, the music, the crowd, the venue all contributed to a great experience. As always, Fitz and the Tantrums are a not-to-be-missed performance. They are a great live band and they never disappoint. And,of course, The Paramount is a superb venue.
Was a great show! The only small thing i have to complain about is the intermission between the opener and the the main show was almost 45 mins which seems a bit much

This event marked the second time we have seen Fitz and the Tantrums in concert. It is great to see them in an intimate venue. It's basically a party! The band brings such a high energy level that it's impossible to stay in your seat. This band sounds amazing when performing live. I highly recommend going to one of their shows. P.S. Their opening act, Barns Courtney, was great and really got the crowd amped up for the main event.

It was an amazing performance and in a beautiful theatre. The theatre choice was a bit interesting, and I would have liked it to be something more like general admission so it is easier to stand up and dance a little. But just focusing on the musical piece, it is a night with my girls that I won't forget!
Band was very engaging with the audience and wanted audience participation through out.

Fitz & the Tantrums are a high energy band that generates excitement through their music. Not a single person sat during the entire performance. People were dancing and singing and enjoying the session. Their ending message about treating people with RESPECT was well - received. Super concert!
This was my first time seeing them. Show was incredible, they sounded great and good energy. Can't wait to see them again!!

This is the second time we've seen Fits and the Tantrums this year.THEY ARE AWESOME!!! The concert was SO fun from beginning to end and ended much too soon. The band just wants to make sure everyone in the audience has a great time.
Fitz & The Tantrums was a lot of fun. The entire time the theater was a party and people were dancing. The crowd was much older than I thought it would be. Standing room admission worked very well.
Just great energy, they dont stop, Noelle is excellent and they sound great. 2nd time Ive seen them

Fantastic show! Love the interaction of the band. Sax player was excellent. They were the last band I saw at Roseland before the venue closed. They put on a great show. The audience was completely mixed. From a small girl sitting in front of me (I'm 53) to people I saw in their 60s. My only gripe was the two women sitting behind me who wouldn't stop talking. I had to tell them to be quiet and soon after they left, so the show got even better. Keep rockin' Fitz!
If anyone out there has not seen this band please do yourself a favor and a friend as well by bringing them. Fitz and the Tantrums are amazing. The energy by the entire band is incredible (If you bottled up the energy Noelle puts out each concert you could run a bioreactor!!) I have now seen them five times and each and everytime I have loved it. House of Blues is a great venue and the band sounded great!! Who cares it was a Tuesday night. Good music should be listened to every night!!
