FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS IN CONCERT:
Retro indie-pop group Fitz and the Tantrums are keeping the Motown Sound alive and well with their modern take on classic soul and funk. Combining call-and-response vocals, backbeat tambourines, and vintage-inspired instrumentation, the band's electric live shows are equal parts shimmy and shake, inspiring nonstop dance parties as fans sing along to infectious pop masterpieces like "MoneyGrabber" and "Out of My League." Riding high on the success of their sophomore album More than Just a Dream, Fitz and the Tantrums are set to treat fans to another round of unforgettable shows on tour in 2014.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Michael Fitzpatrick formed LA-based Fitz and the Tantrums in 2008 after purchasing a Conn electronic organ -- an instrument that would prove vital in the development of the band's retro sound. The group performed their first show just one week after their first rehearsal, underscoring an effortless chemistry that was readily apparent on their 2009 debut EP Songs for a Breakup, Vol. 1. After touring with Maroon 5 and performing at SXSW, the band signed with Dangerbird Records for their 2010 debut LP Pickin' Up the Pieces. The album landed at No. 1 on the Billboard's Heatseekers Albums Chart, establishing the group as one of the most promising rising talents in indie-pop and paving the way for 2013 sophomore effort More than Just a Dream — a Top 40 hit on the Billboard 200.

Great show at a small venue. Wonderful music as always from Fitz and the Tantrums. High energy show. Loved being close enough to see the performers better with my own eyes than on the video screen.
I’ve seen Fitz & the Tantrums 7 times. They put on such a terrific show, AND they truly appreciate the crowd for coming out and supporting live music. I’ll buy tickets the second they are released for their next concert!
This was our third time seeing them and they were awesome as ever. Great set list, fun energy.
Fitz and Noelle never disappoint the crowd. This was the 4th show for me and I loved the small venue ! You can feel the shared enjoyment of their music. Coin was a fantastic opening band with many followers of their own.

It was my fifth time seeing Fitz and the Tantrums, although they are always a pleasure to see and they sound amazing, My only negative was the concert was extremely short in length, and was over before 11. i don't think they even performed for 2 hours. The opener COIN, was also good, but also played for a short time.
Tremendously entertaining show. Opener Coin was spectacular.AGFO-(Always go for the openers) Fitz and the tantrums put on a full out fun performance. Rollicking fun house of their hits with some awesome new tunes.Michael was at times introspective, including encouraging anyone who needed help to seek it out. Great to see him use his platform for the greater good. Great night!
Such great performance and engaging. Lots of energy in the room
from start to finish the show was like a high energy aerobic work out. Opening band was a hidden gem (Coin was their name). Fitz was non stop fun and dancing. Sound was spot on even as close to the stage as I was. They were so appreciative of us fans being there and all the support we've shown over the years. Can't wait for their new album to drop and to see them again!!!
I left this show feeling goofy happy from singing along and dancing my butt off. Venue was very nice too.
Traveled from Maryland to catch Fitz & the Tantrums and X Ambassadors together. What a fantastic venue to see to great groups. Talk about a great sunset as well.

So impressed with the small opening bands at this show. X-Ambassadors sounded live, exactly how they sound on their albums. And Fitz and the Tantrums are the most upbeat and fun performers I have ever seen!
Went to see X Ambassadors and was delighted with Mikky Ekko and of course Fitz & the Tantrums. Loved all the music . The musicians all were engaging & interactive with the fans. I would recommend all 3 bands
What a great show! Beautiful night and the crowd was really hyped up by the time Fitz and the Tantrums came on around sunset. Super easy to get close to the stage at this venue and artists really seem to enjoy the setting. If you're someone who enjoys dancing at shows I can't recommend Fitz and the Tantrums enough. They have incredible on stage energy and their songs sound so close to their records. One of the best shows I've ever seen. I couldn't stop dancing and shouting.
I first saw Fitz and the Tantrums last year in Bangor, Maine. The show is AMAZING! I was asked if the band is as good live as recorded. I said this band is BETTER live. Such great energy (btw, I don't typically listen to mainstream music and didn't know the songs being performed) THAT is how good this band is!!
It was a great time at the show. All three bands were good. Have to say though that when X Ambassors singer decided to get political it really turned me off and I wasn't the only one. I paid to have a good time and listen to good music not to listen to his political points of view
