FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS IN CONCERT:

Retro indie-pop group Fitz and the Tantrums are keeping the Motown Sound alive and well with their modern take on classic soul and funk. Combining call-and-response vocals,  backbeat tambourines, and vintage-inspired instrumentation, the band's electric live shows are equal parts shimmy and shake, inspiring nonstop dance parties as fans sing along to infectious pop masterpieces like "MoneyGrabber" and "Out of My League." Riding high on the success of their sophomore album More than Just a Dream, Fitz and the Tantrums are set to treat fans to another round of unforgettable shows on tour in 2014.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Michael Fitzpatrick formed LA-based Fitz and the Tantrums in 2008 after purchasing a Conn electronic organ -- an instrument that would prove vital in the development of the band's retro sound. The group performed their first show just one week after their first rehearsal, underscoring an effortless chemistry that was readily apparent on their 2009 debut EP Songs for a Breakup, Vol. 1. After touring with Maroon 5 and performing at SXSW, the band signed with Dangerbird Records for their 2010 debut LP Pickin' Up the Pieces. The album landed at No. 1 on the Billboard's Heatseekers Albums Chart, establishing the group as one of the most promising rising talents in indie-pop and paving the way for 2013 sophomore effort More than Just  a Dream — a Top 40 hit on the Billboard 200.

FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS IN CONCERT:

"Fitz And The Tantrums put on a great concert!!! The setlist was awesome and the crowd was singing and dancing with the band!!!"

"Loved this concert. They were so good -- all their music is so distinct. Excellent musicianship all the way around and TONS of energy."

The whole concert is so high energy, I was dancing the whole time with much of the crowd. They seem like genuine people as well - really appreciative of the fans."

Fitz & the Tantrums were great but the opening act Slayed

by The opening act blew my mind on 7/23/23

Title says it all. Sub-Radio got up there and rocked the crowd’s faces off the crowd. I immediately went and bought their album from the merch table and have been listening to it non-stop - wow!!!

Did They Make My Hands Clap?

    by Mr. Daydream on 7/23/23

Yes. They made me forget I’m in my late 50s, tired from work, and suffering back pain. By the end of the show, I was jumping up and down in the aisle down front and fist pumping like I was 38 going on 39. Second time seeing them and they still deliver!!! Also, shout out to Sub Radio!!! Been following them for a couple years on TikTok and had no idea they were opening! What an added value experience!!!

Sub Radio, opening act, was not only good but a well picked act, fit very well. Fitz & the Tantrums were excellent. High energy but not over the top. Very enjoyable listening. Could ever make out the lyrics.

    The show

    by Tam on 7/23/23

The vip meet and greet needs a lot of work, we waited in the baking heat for 2 hours then had to fight to get our seats which should have been first choice before others due to the price. The autographed poster was not signed by all the band members and one band member many wanted to see was not there for the photograph

    My first ever concert!

    by A. K. on 7/20/23

I saw Fitz and the Tantrums when I was 11 years old, right before covid started. I was a huge fan back then and it was the most exciting ever for me- I felt so grown up. Even though it was a small venue, it was a great concert and the band played all of my favorite songs! This was a core memory for me in my tween years, and I definitely won’t forget it!

    Great concert

    by Evan M on 7/17/23

We had a perfect summer evening for the outdoor concert at Chateau Ste Michelle! The weather was not too hot, not too cold, and we arrived early enough to get a prime spot on the lawn, then chatted with each other and ate our packed snacks until the opening act. We didn't purchase any food but looked like there was a wide array to choose from. Fitz and the Tantrums was phenomenal: fun, lively, engaging. The opening act was very hard to hear unfortunately. We purchased onsite parking and appreciated how quickly traffic flowed after the concert. Rated only 4 stars because the Ticketmaster app was giving me trouble on multiple occasions. I was able to transfer tickets to my friends but could not download to my electronic wallet or transfer to myself until closer to the date.

Great concert venue not so good

    by Dadray on 7/14/23

Fitz and the band are pros. Sound was very clear and tight. The Winery has limited parking at a high cost. Between 20 and 50 to 75 dollars. The layout of the Winery is odd, and if you do not like extremely over priced wine you will be disappointed. No beer or alcohol is served, only wine. Your view of the show can easlily become obstructed, due to slope. Even the reserved seats can be hard to see if you are not over six feet tall.

    Great but short

    by musiclovr on 7/11/23

Beautiful venue, super fun they started with a local band for an opener and some great energy. Fitz sounded great and the song choices were on point. The thing is, when you make that much effort to get to a venue that isn't easy to access and through enormously long security lines, you expect the headliner to play more than an hour and 10 minutes....and that included the encore. VERY disappointed in the short show. We paid hundreds of dollars for tickets, parking, food, etc. It seems that the band could have rewarded us with much more music.

    Great happy summer vibes

    by VN on 7/11/23

Wonderful artists. Upbeat music and ample interaction with the audience. Great for some happy sunshine vibes. The hour performance went by too quickly - I could have listened to them for hours. Venue was exceptional and security was as quick as could be with the amount of people.

    A Great Experience

    by Sean on 7/11/23

A beautiful venue. Fitz and the Tantrums delivers again. This is my second time seeing them in just as many years and they gave a great performance, performing new songs while making time for old favorites as well.

    Great Venue and Great Show

by Matty1918 on 2/22/23Big Night Live - Boston

Great show, sound was spot on and venue was great! First time there and I'd have to say the bartenders are spot on, I didn't have to wait no more than 5 minutes to get a drink at a crowded bar. Fitz and the Tantrums were great.....high energy and got the crowd moving!

    Fantastic Show

    by K-squared on 2/16/23Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

From the opening act to the featured artists the night was simply amazing!! There was such great energy from the artists and the crowd. The venue was perfect! I just couldn’t help smiling the entire night. First at that adorable young man Sammy Rash, then oh my goodness the beautiful souls of Fitz and his marvelous tantrums. It was definitely one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Thank you!!!
