Fit for a King on Tour
Like the best metalcore bands, Fit for a King offer an uncompromising, high-energy live show full of chugging riffs, clean and unclean vocals, and thudding drums. Accordingly, this approach leads to plenty of headbanging, onstage and in the crowd, as well as ferocious mosh pits. However, the group's penchant for more melodic elements ensures a Fit for a King show also has moments of soaring, dynamic urgency full of emotional heft.
Fit for a King are road warriors known for teaming up with other metalcore and deathcore bands. In 2013, Fit for a King appeared on the Scream the Prayer tour alongside Silent Planet, Wolves at the Gate and Everyone Dies in Utah, while the group has also toured with Ice Nine Kills, Light the Torch, Emmure, After the Burial and Awake at Last, and performed on Warped Tour and at the Uprise Festival.
Fit for a King Background
Fit for a King originally coalesced in Tyler, Texas, in 2007 as a sextet featuring drummer Jared Easterling and a variety of other local musicians. The band debuted the following year with a self-titled EP, and in 2009 came out with a second EP, Awaken the Vesper. In 2011, Fit for a King self-released their first full-length, Descendants, which led to a label deal with the heavier Tooth & Nail imprint Solid State Records. From there, the group started taking off and amassing a larger audience.
Their 2013 label debut Creation/Destruction charted on the Billboard Top 200 and Christian Albums charts. Fit for a King continued releasing well-regarded albums that sold well. In fact, the band's subsequent three albums — 2014's Slave to Nothing, 2016's Deathgrip and 2018's Dark Skies — all reached the Top 3 of Billboard's Christian Albums chart. In May 2020, Fit for a King announced a special collaboration with We Came as Romans: the latter's Dave Stephens appeared on a new version of Fit for a King's "Backbreaker."
Went in to see The Devil Wears Prada and they did not disappoint. They always throw an amazing show. Avoid was a great opener and Counterparts was fun to listen as a first timer of their music.

All bands were great. Fit for a King wrapped up the show and did not disappoint. They had so much energy. The sound and venue also were great.
TDWP Never disappoints....EVER!!! Fit for a King was Outstanding. They chose good opening acts that we are now following. Great Show, Great Venue. Would do it all over again without question...

AVOID killed it, Counterparts was my most looked forward to set; killed it. TDWP was amazing. Stage presence was phenomenal. FFAK also smashed it out of the park. Had to move location from my spot, to hard left of stage, but still enjoyed the show. Loved that they came back out for one more song, and plays 'God of Fire'.
Seeing FFAK for the 4th just shows how great of a band they really are. They always put on a great show and the crowds are usually easy to deal with. I’m sure I’ll be seeing them again if they come through the area.
I always love seeing Fit for a king in concert! For the past 3 years now I have been going to see them at every single show that is close to me. Pleaseeee when you come to the DMV just go to the Fillmore in Silver Spring bc it’s the best venue in my opinion around here that you have attended before! Ngl HAMC in PA was my least favorite venue. But anyways I love FFAK and will continue to always see them no matter when they go!
I was actually really impressed with Fit For A King. I went to the show to see DWP and ended up enjoying Fit For A King more. DWP was pretty distorted and a little unrecognizable live with was a little let down but I still love them. Fit For a King gained a new fan that night, really fun to listen to live, had a blast.
Fit for a King was absolutely amazing!! Appreciate them representing God well! I can’t say that for the other bands…very disappointing that they kept dropping the F bomb at a so called All Ages event!!! There were small children present!
Went for counterparts, came away impressed with all 4 bands. This scene has come a long way in the past 20 or so years. Good to see it thriving.
The staff were all amazing. I used to work concert security, and the concert staff at the House Of Blues in Vegas was the best team that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The bar tenders, bathroom attendants, security, staff, sound engineers, and the bands all worked together seamlessly to provide the best concert experience that I have ever been a part of in 20 years.
Venue was great, atmosphere was great performance was great
It was the perfect venue and amount of people gets , you really close to the stage without being VIP.
They put on an amazing show. The energy they bring is unmatched. You can feel it in the whole venue that everyone was through the roof. Best metalcore band to see live
All four bands were amazing! “Fit For A King” was absolutely incredible! “TDWP” did there thing and absolutely smashed it; played banger after banger!
The sound quality was great, crowd was great, bands killed it — venue needs wifi extenders for the merch crew to make their jobs easier, though
FFAK is always a winner. ALWAYS! Such a great show and some of the best energy and stage presence I've seen in a long time!
I loved everything about the masquerade venue in ATL ga to see devil wears parade and fit for a king. My husband and I had the best time there! Everyone was so nice!
If you enjoy heavy you will enjoy these guys live. They bring all the things that will just tickle any metal heads fancy!
