FINNEAS on Tour

Music lovers likely first met Finneas via the songs he cowrote and coproduced for his little sister, Billie Eilish. But the man made it into plenty of homes before her rise with his roles in film and TV — particularly as Glee's Alistair — and that charm and professionalism shows during his concerts. He's been known to sport a three-piece suit on stage, and his onstage setup has often also been limited to three pieces: a mic, a guitar and a keyboard rig (which includes backing tracks for his darkly sparkling brand of electronic pop). Even so, Finneas (often stylized as FINNEAS) has no problem inspiring wild screams from his audiences, who come for some combination of his clean-cut handsomeness, velvety voice and diary-like lyrics about love and lust. After the Los Angeles native became a staple of Eilish's shows, he broke out solo to sold-out gigs on the coasts, festival spots galore and a headlining tour named after his debut EP, Blood Harmony.

FINNEAS in Concert

Finneas Baird O'Connell started writing and producing music at the age of 12, and acting shortly thereafter, appearing in movies like the Cameron Diaz flick Bad Teacher and acclaimed indie film Life Inside Out (which starred his actress mother, Maggie Baird). By 2015, as he turned 18, O'Connell's career seemed to be tipping toward the screen: on the one hand he fronted a pop-punk outfit called The Slightlys who'd won several local band battles; on the other, he had a regular role in the final season of Glee. But then he wrote "Ocean Eyes" for his band and, at the last minute, decided it'd sound best sung by his 13-year-old sister. Billie Eilish became a viral sensation as a result, and Finneas' path was cemented. Over the next few years, he'd cowrite and coproduce the dark and inventive music that would make Billie a star while laying the groundwork for his solo sound — a brighter, soulful take on that minimal, electronic-assisted pop. While his many early singles were overshadowed by his work on her essential debut LP, 2019's When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, Finneas climbed the charts along with Billie, sitting atop Billboard's Hot 100 Songwriters and Producers lists for nine weeks. That more than paved the way for the fall 2019 arrival of Finneas' proper debut, the Blood Harmony EP, named after the sound that siblings can achieve while singing together.

    Amazing concert + venue

by Pao on 11/23/21House of Blues Boston - Boston

Went to the Boston show at House of Blues and could not be happier with the experience. The venue lacked a little coordination when letting us know at what time to get there but the process of getting inside was very smooth and fast!! Everyone was super nice too. The concert itself was AMAZING. Finneas is such a great performer and everyone vibes from start to finish. Marinelli, the opener was also extremely good and funny. Thanks LiveNation, Ticketmaster, and Finneas!!

Whole crowd singing together with this marvelous artist

by Edward Sun on 11/23/21House of Blues Boston - Boston

FINNEAS! the last show of the America Tour and let’s fall in love for the night! Twenty-two songs performed and half of them are from his newest album. The whole crowd singing together to every song was so heart shaking. The House of Blues is a perfect place to hold this concert because even you’re far away, you can still see the performers and feel the vibe. The warm-up artist also has the strength to let everyone move. I’m literally crying especially during the pandemic which concerts seems to be risky but all crowds put their masks on to stay safe.

    Amazing Show, Accommodating Venue

by Haley on 11/22/21House of Blues Boston - Boston

This show was an absolute dream. My best friend suffers from Dysautonomia and survives on TPN via a PICC line thorough her chest wall, so she is physically hooked up to a backpack all day to survive and becomes exhausted by doing simple things. The venue staff allowed us to head right inside so she didn’t have to sit on the curb waiting in line, and allowed us the use of the elevator to get to our seats on the third floor. It was my first time at the HOB and it was a very intimate venue - Finneas was INCREDIBLE. He put on an amazing performance, the music was just as good live as it is on the albums, if not better, and his interactions with the crowd made everyone feel appreciated and included, even those of us up in the 2nd balcony. CANNOT wait to attend another of Finneas’ shows, or to attend more shows at this venue!

    Long line but great vibes!

by Carol on 11/22/21Irving Plaza - New York

Finneas was better than I ever thought he could be. My only concern was with the venue keeping us outside until well after 7pm. I understand it takes time to check everyone in but I think the process could have begun earlier.

Finneas is such a naturally gifted performer. He had a minimal set but took up the whole stage with his presence, personality, and raw talent.

    Optimist Tour

by Tim on 11/21/21House of Blues Boston - Boston

Finneas was amazing as per usual! Shared a cute story about the last time he played that venue with his sister in 2018. 10/10 would recommend seeing, he knows how to put on a show!

    great concert, poorly organized

by c on 11/21/21House of Blues Boston - Boston

after waiting four hours in advance to try and get barricade, people who were 21+ got early access to the arena. i still got barricade but there was a drunk girl behind me who kept pushing me against the barricade and making me very anxious. security did nothing about it. i loved the actual concert, i just wish it were better organized.

    Great show!

by Kelly on 11/20/21Irving Plaza - New York

Finneas is a natural performer that put on an incredible show. The venue was very clean and followed covid protocols and people were cleaning while we were there. It was very crowded and we could not get into the actual room but stood outside a door and had a great view.

    Finneas was amazing!

by Emily on 11/17/219:30 CLUB - Washington

This concert was so much fun! The stage looked amazing (I surprised his backdrop fit lol) and Finneas sounded amazing. The 9:30 club was also very efficient and thorough with checking vaccine cards and IDs. The only thing that was a bit frustrating was the people who had tickets to both the early show and the late show got let in before the people who waited hours outside for the late show. But it was still a great concert!

    Great performer/venue

by Pepper on 11/17/219:30 CLUB - Washington

Husband and I took our two teenage daughters and they absolutely loved it. As parents not familiar with Finneas music, we both were pleasantly surprised. Also, we all enjoyed the more intimate venue (9:30 Club) and had great views of the artist from the balcony. 9:30 Club was very efficient and organized with all the Covid protocols. Would definitely go back to this venue for future concerts.

Excellent Live Show - felt safe and secure, too!

by Finneas Fan4Life! on 11/17/219:30 CLUB - Washington

It was Finneas's first headliner show in Washington DC so we were very excited. He had two shows at 5 pm and at 8 pm. The 5 pm show didn't start until 6:30 pm because they were checking everyone's vaccination status and made sure everyone was wearing masks, so it took a little longer to get everyone into the venue. Even though it was crowded, it was nice to know that everyone had shown proof of vaccine and were required to wear masks inside. Once inside, the show started and Finneas did not disappoint! He sounded fantastic live and didn't hold back from giving his best performance for the 5 pm crowd that he would have given for the later show. It wasn't a warm up, but instead a phenomenal performance. Sang all his best songs and lots from the Optimist album. Definitely recommend seeing Finneas! You'll have a great time!

    What a night!

by KevnationOfficial on 11/17/219:30 CLUB - Washington

This was my friends first concert and the look on his face is one I will remember. Finneas was amazing, I’m like wow he can actually sing, Marinelli (forgive the misspell) was great. 930 club was very welcoming and courteous.
