  • Unexpected Treasure

by FrontRow Mulatto on 9/20/23Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Soulful and informative! Great stage presence and entirely personable!!!! I didn’t enjoy the pre-movie as much. It was creative and insightful but I could have used less of it. Maybe 15 minutes of it. Or maybe a short on the making of the film for additional 5-10 minutes. I’d never seen Fantastic in person and he exceeded all expectations as an entity!!!! Great show!

  • Electric, soulful and real

by Chris on 9/14/22Thalia Hall - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

The way he can take his own songs and sing them in three different styles of music is amazing. Beyond talented.

  • Best show ever!

by Woz on 8/8/19The Shelter - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic Negrito and Mayaeni were both completely amazing!! Hard to believe the larger venues not booking them yet but was super happy to see them at the Shelter. It is the perfect environment to see them up close and personal and you really feel the energy they put out. I hope to see them both again soon

  • Fantastic Negrito in Detroit

Great show. Gritty rock n roll blues left me wanting more. Next time in Detroit.

  • Not to be Replicated

by Aly on 5/31/19The Parish at House of Blues Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 4 out of 5

I was not the first to enter AND I was still spitting distance (literally) from Fantastic Negrito. The show was intimate and special, some songs had been played only 2 or 3 times before that day (1 only once live.) He read the crowd, gave speeches that fit the day, place, and people around him. The improvisational vibe of the blues rock combo kept me on my toes. Not a night I will forget soon. This didn’t feel like a top 100 recorded artist playbook show. It felt in tune with what was beating around it and who was breathing with the music. That was memorable.

  • He's awesome

    by B on 5/10/19The Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

I was very happy to see him live. The small, casual venue allowed for an up-close, personal experience. However, the sound system seemed to fail some. The vocals were overridden by instrumentals (not too unusual; don't know why they can't figure this out in sound checks). I did come to hear him sing. I appreciate that he walked straight off stage to meet and greet those who came to see him. Very humble. I felt like I was in the presence of an incredible artist and human being. Too bad others aren't aware of him. But then, if he gets too famous we will lose that up-close and personal experience.

  • I loved this guy

by Connie on 5/6/19The Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

There's nothing negative to say about Fantastic Negrito. Anything. He was an amazing surprise from the very first minute. I'm so glad I trusted my instincts about him, because I haven't heard him before, just in a tiny desk concert that blew my mind. I wish the venue were not so loud: the sound was excellent, yes, but really way too high to the point our ears were a little in pain. There's no need for that. The Masquerade's venues are perfect for this experimental performers, so I don't see the point in making you go deaf, while you appreciate them. Is an intimate space, it doesn't require all the volume to fill the experience.

  • 2nd time

by AM on 4/29/19The Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

High energy, amazing voice from sweet to growl, low to falsetto, all in the same phrase. A true musician with a great band.

  • Fantastic Negrito is Fantastic

by GabeKrieg on 9/17/18Amsterdam Bar & Hall - St PaulRating: 5 out of 5

I can't believe how good they are. I'm embarrassed about how much I attempted to sing along. Warning: don't drink if you see them. You'll make a fool out of yourself.

An incredible, intimate and wonderful performance! The venue was perfect for sound, lighting, and seating. He told a beautiful story that made you feel like you were apart of him.
