About

Fall Out Boy are one of the most successful pop punk bands of the last few decades. They’ve released four No. 1 albums and 10 Top 40 singles while working alongside top artists such as JAY-Z, Taylor Swift, Elton John, Wiz Khalifa, John Mayer, Demi Lovato and RM of BTS. The quartet of guitarist and vocalist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley rose from the emo scene outside of Chicago and released their debut album Take This to Your Grave in 2003. Fall Out Boy made their major label debut with 2005’s From Under the Cork Tree, which featured the band’s first two Hot 100 singles, “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down” and “Dance, Dance,” and led to the band’s first Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2006. The group’s 2007 follow-up Infinity on High debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 behind singles like “This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race,” which reached a career-best No. 2 on the Hot 100, and “Thnks fr th Mmrs.” After 2008’s Folie à Deux, Fall Out Boy went on hiatus, but made an emphatic return with three back-to-back No.1 debuts in 2013’s Save Rock and Roll, 2015’s American Beauty/American Psycho, and 2018’s Mania. In 2023, Fall Out Boy released their eighth full-length effort So Much (for) Stardust, which became the band’s seventh consecutive Top 10 album.

    Fall Out Boy was amazing!!

by Craizeekat on 6/28/13Myth - Maplewood

Fall out boy was amazing & played a great mix of songs both old & new. They had the entire room singing along to most of the songs, it was a really great atmosphere. I've been to all of their shows when in the twin cities and this was no disappointment. The venue wasn't great though and the only way to see the stage was to be in the front row or have VIP tickets.

    FOB was wicked good!!!

by acctguru on 6/28/13Myth - Maplewood

This show was totally impressive. Full of energy, plenty of old tunes mixed with the new tunes. These guys are still as sharp as they were and keep getting better. The new tunes sound much better live than in the studio, I actually love this band more live. They are full of energy and don't disapppoint. If you miss the show you'll regret it.. bottom line is get there. !

I wish it had been a little bit longer, but overall I had a great time! They sounded good live. The show was in Oakland, yet the New Politics said San Francisco, which was kind of funny lol.

    It was pretty awesome.

    by Alexandros94 on 6/21/13Filmore Theater - Miami

The concert was pretty awesome. The BEST part was the fact that the venue they played in was actually COLD! Like I was not DIEING from the heat like I have at almost EVERY other concert. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT FALL OUT BOY! xD. Anyway the opening band New Politics was pretty awesome and the break dancing the lead singer did was pretty cool. And then Fall Out Boy came out and sang ALOT of their songs. They even sung Thanks For The Memories! Which was the first song I heard from them and Dance Dance which was the second. Brought back some memories from Middle school. I went there with my girlfriend and SHE LOST IT! I think she even cried once or twice xD. It sucks that they did not play American Suithearts. But the songs they did play were pretty awesome and my throat did hurt after it. All in all it was an awesome concert and I have ZERO complaints. Well.... Other than the fact that the water was 5 dollars each.

New Politics was a great opener and had a lot of energy; they set the stage well for Fall Out Boy. FOB themselves had an amazing set and gave me the dream show I've been hoping for in my 7 years of being a fan. I was so glad they came back and it was worth it, both their old songs and their new songs sounded fantastic.

by ILoveFOB on 6/18/13Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

This was truely an amazing show! I had a great view, the lights and sound were flawless, and the performance was incredible. This is definitely one I will never forget. I have been waiting 9 years to see them and they did not disappoint. The only bad thing was there were three fights around me during the show.

So, so so so so so happy their back. Waited 13 hours in line to get to the front and it was totally worth it. Ugh. Met them after also. Great band, great show. COMEBACK OF THE YEAR!!!!!!! New Politics had an opening set and were quite fun to watch I want to see them as well! Also the Fox Theater is a GREAT venue: friendly and helpful staff, caring security, beautiful layout!

    MORE FOB!!!!

by MamaMoore on 6/18/13Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

All in all - a FANTASTIC performance! I went with my mom (61), my daughter (20) and a friend (16). I got to dance the whole night and loved every moment. It was really great for them to play songs from all of their albums. Especially for the die hard fans that go way back to the beginning. We've seen every FOB concert in our area. If they ever play 2 nights in a row, I'm sure we'll go both nights. This my daughter's all time favorite band and was her first concert back in 2005? at the Concord Pavilion. However, I do wish they had played a longer set. I was disappointed that the show was over at 10pm. Granted New Politics (who were great! fab break dancing moves too), came on at 7:30, FOB took the stage around 8:30 and I was hoping for the show to go until at least 10:30, if not 11:00 (encores included). I was having so much fun that I didn't even hear Pete announce the last song and thought "it can't be over, Joe's still on the stage". Sure Andy threw out his drum sticks, but I know he has more, right? haha. I vote for them playing "Just One Yesterday" in September at America's Cup in SF. I really, REALLY wanted to hear them play that song.

    Rockin the Fox in Oakland

    by 1MamaB on 6/18/13Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

To be honest, I did not have very high expectations for the concert on Sunday night..... First, I have been trying to get into the new FOB cd, but it just wasn't doing it for me and it had been YEARS since their last concert. I had heard about New Politics and was hopeful, but still - it was Father's Day and I was feeling a little guilty for leaving dad at home. Right off the bat I was happy - parking was good, the venue is beautiful and the drinks were not ridiculously expensive - a good start. Then, New Politics hit the stage and I was so impressed with their presence and found myself dancing along like a kid (yup, I'm THAT old lady - 51 ugh!) I found myself REALLY EXCITED for FallOutBoy and they did not disappoint From the very first song to the last they had good energy and sounded GREAT!! I can finally appreciate the new cd and am so happy that they played all our old favorites too! I am really looking forward to the SF show!
