The concert was a very good one. The 2 main performers were excellent and the band and it's members were really excellent. The two members who played keyboard and sax were outstanding. overall as a group they work together to form excellent music and a very enjoyable evening for the audience which seemed from all indications to also enjoy the performance to the max.
Overall a fun night, although a bit long given the attendance demo which skewed on the older side. The "Billy Joel" performer was definitely more spot on, including the band performances. The Elton performer as OK but how do you not do a version of "Your Song" as a closing EJ number? The band seemed to be less tight at times with the EJ music as well.
I went to both shows at the Myrtle Beach HOB last year and was completely blown out of my mind with this show. The Billy Joel guy was so much like the real thing me and my girlfriend just couldn't stop talking about it all weekend. After some digging I know they're called The Stranger and they are based in Charlotte NC. I wish they played closer to the NY area like in Atlantic City. If anything send the Billy Joel guy there if not both. We'll be back to the next one. Cheers!
