Esperanza Spalding Tickets

Fantastic, a big 10! She is a monster, an "avis rara", and will be recognized as one of the great jazz musicians of the 21st century! A must to see.

I was not wild about standing for that amount of time. Seating would have been nice. However for Esperanza it was totally worth it. It was a nice bonus to have Gretchen Parlato there as well.

This is the best kept secret to come along in decades... she's infusing jazz with new blood and a new energy and originality that I haven't seen since the days of Miles Davis. Her career has just begun, and she performed last night like a seasoned pro. Not only a phenomenal and true-to-her-heart performer, but an expert musician who can only get better with age!

Esperanza Spalding is a true virtuoso, hooking the audience in from the first few bars she played, and made the whole room go crazy with her mastery of soul, funk and jazz. A must see!!

Esperanza was brilliant last night. Her soulful jazzy vocals, bass, and back-up quartet reminded me that this talent has only but continue upward on a successful journey. Miss Spalding sang like the song bird she is; Cool and melodic, she brought to the El Rey Theater an inviting and inclusive experience for all of us that attended last night's venue.

AH-MAY-ZING!!! I went with a friend to see the opening act, John West. Now I plan to see Esperanza Spalding as often as humanly possible. Really - Amazing.

The venue was fun since you could dance and/or just groove to the music. The first song's sound was horrible, but that improved. The sound still never was quite good enough to do justice to such great musicians though. But Esperanza and her band were awesome!

Her voice is a hummingbird and her bass is a tree filled with flowers. The atoms of her sound have soul as the nucleus, and freedom as the electrons. I loved her.

Esperanza's performance was out of this world. I loved the new songs and can't wait for them to be released.

One of the best performances I've seen in a long time. She was like a breath of jazzy cool fresh air!

I've been a fan of Esperanza's music for years, but during her live show she appeared to be high on something and flew through the songs. I couldn't make it through the show and left at intermission. What a let down.

Esperanza is refreshing! Her soulful strings will feed this musical talent hungry world.

What an inspiring, stimulating and enlightening performance! She remained poised throughout the performance despite disrespectful actions and statements by members of the audience. Her talent, skill and presence command attention and respect. She is funny and playful in her presentation, yet serious and purposeful! ...Definitely an old soul with a fresh spirit.

I really enjoyed Esperanza's concert. The venue was perfectly intimate. Her skills were inspiring. Her music is timeless.
