    Terrible Handling for Premium Buyers

by Housemonkey on 10/7/16Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Premium buyers were promised exclusive signings and there own, better goodie bags. Still though not all of the signings were premium only and the times for said signings were very poorly communicated. Over 2 days I only got 2 teams autographs. On top of that there was no difference between the goodie bags for Premium and regulars. The only real upside was the seating on the floor, although to be fair it wasn't assigned so even that was a bit of a mess. Plus there was foam fingers and clapper things littered everywhere.

Games were great, experience not so much

by Warlucith on 10/6/16Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Barclays Center staff were rude, signing sessions were poorly organized, and the lights blocked the view of the screens.

Games were good, staff was not

    by berzerks0ldier on 10/6/16Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Staff berated customers all weekend, security was a joke. Games were good, food was terrible and overpriced.

    Unbelievable matches

by IProPenguin on 10/4/16Barclays Center - Brooklyn

The event overall was fun. There were a few things you could do in the stadium that was free like signings and getting spray tattoos. The crowds were great and the matches were top notch. Best csgo i've ever watched in a long time. the games were so close that they had to play till 130 in the morning. Sadly my favorite team Virtus.Pro didnt win yet they played like they were the best team in the entire tournament. i wish i couldve seen them lift that trophy but they played hell of a good game. Would most definitly recommend anyone to go to this event if you are even a small fan of the game of counter strike because the fan base is amazing.

A whole lot of fun, decent organization. $6.00 for water though... Great seating and the whole place felt very clean.

    Terribly Organized

    by Tommy1367890 on 10/4/16Barclays Center - Brooklyn

2+ hours waiting for a goodie bag, overpromised experience and crazy expensive... The games were great but you'd be better off watching on twitch.

    ESL One NY was MEH

by robothunder on 10/4/16Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Very uninformative lead up to the event, followed by ask everyone about any leaked information that you heard because they did not say anything about anything. I had the VIP package and all that I got that was different from what everyone else had was better seating. I was upset that this was all that was a bonus. I would not do VIP again and would never recommend it to anyone, not even my worst enemies.

    Event was great

by Migilicuty on 10/4/16Barclays Center - Brooklyn

The games and casters made this an awesome expirence. The Barclays staff seemed annoyed to be at work. The food wasn't very good and was very expensive. The price wasn't awful for stadium food but the quality of the food could have been much better and the staff could have been nicer.

ESL One NY DOTA 2 - October 2015

by galantleb on 10/14/15The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

Really had a fun experience. The audience was hyped for the games. Screen size was adequate for the venue. Players, casters, everybody was enjoying every bit of the event The only negative thing I saw was that the food selection inside the arena is kind of limited. Would want some more variety. Overall very good experience

    Good tournament, disappointing VIP experience

by Jarbarina on 10/11/15The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

The arena and tournament itself was a great experience, especially considering I have never been to a live DotA tournament before. While the prize pool was small, it still had enough to keep things interesting. The two day pass was a good value. However, I cannot say the same about the VIP pass. Here is what I was promised: Two-Day pass Guaranteed 100-level seating Goodie bag Exclusive signing sessions Behind the scenes tour Dota2 Ingame item Invite to the afterparty Here is what I received: Two-Day pass: - Yep Guaranteed 100-level seating: - Yep Goodie bag - Yep (approx. $50 value): Exclusive signing sessions: - Only 2 teams showed up to them. I guess the rest just didn't feel like it... Behind the scenes tour: - NEVER HAPPENED! Dota2 Ingame item - Yep Invite to the after-party - Yes, but with a hitch. Entry was 21+ only (not announced). There were also TWO after-parties -- One for the pros/ staff, and one for the people who bought VIP tickets. - The Former was segregated from the latter (via security), and they had an open bar. No reason for the pros to come and mingle with the fans. - I, a fan, still had to pay for drinks (~$10-$13) - Party was supposed to go until 3am, but the venue closed up the kitchen/ bar/ games around 1am OVERALL: I would but the 2 day pass again, but not the VIP. Things I was promised never got fulfilled or were done so in a very poorly planned way. The after-party was an exception waste of money, and probably existed to fund the drinks of the "Pro" party. = /

    ESL NY - Great Venue

by Andaho on 10/9/15The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

The venue was amazing - MSG is a classic powerhouse hosting area. However, the premium tickets were disappointing and I was a little bummed out at how the special events lined up. A lot of what was promised was only half-delivered, but I had a good time.

The Community is supposed to be more interactive. This event was very static and overpriced. I expected more attractions and better seatings. Also it was quite cold inside.

    Great event

by Chnasko123 on 10/7/15The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

I only attended the second day but it was great. The crowd was hyped the games were great. The only negetive about it was the prices for everything was outrages, almost $5 for a water. But whatever that's New York, other than that it was great

Good play by all teams, and good experience

by HandsomeSceptile on 10/7/15The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

ESL One New York was a blast. The halftime party at a nearby pub was fantastic. I had heard that the VIP tickets were not as great a value as the normal tickets so that's something to keep in mind, but the tournament wasn't horrible and the teams played very well. There were a lot of hype moments and some questionable picks but I think I only went to see quality Dota 2. And I got what I wanted. The Secret Shop could've been handled a little better because there were long wait times and only one "register". The numerous displays in the front lobby were very nice and made it so that leaving the stadium to go use the bathroom or get some snacks didn't mean missing out on any key moments during the tournament.

    Meh at best

by NotPpd on 10/7/15The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

What a shitshow. Both ESL and MSG really dropped the ball on this event. Nothing was running close to on time. There were constant awful ads on the big screens, which were also not great quality. This is a problem when people are coming exclusively to watch something on the screen. MSG was a joke. The security was full of clueless assholes, there were barely any food options, and the ones that were there were heinously overpriced. Seats were also very uncomfortable and offered no leg room. The only redeeming quality of the event was there was some great Dota action.
