    Eric Burdon and (new) Animals

by Rocketladyfox on 10/12/17South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

Not having seen Eric live before over the years, it was a treat to see him in a small showroom. His musical magic and voice resounds very well and he functioned quite well at 6000 ft elevation, as many musicians are not prepared for the impact. The band was awesome with a little Zappa flair by the lead guitarist and great keyboards, drumming and lets not forget the HORNS! I was very happy to take a friend who had seen Eric in 1965 and she really enjoyed the show.

Everyone is having fun - Great Show!

by Almostdone234 on 10/11/17South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

While none of the Animals looked old enough to have been born when the songs they played first came out they played them with superior skill and were obviously enjoying themselves. Eric Burden still has it and was also having fun. The venue was awesome, I was in row c set 10 and literally could touch the stage. It was the most fun I've had at a concert since the 1970s and I go to a lot of shows.

    Great concert

by FlashNevada1975 on 10/11/17South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

Eric still has a great voice. Lots of energy. The rest of the band was very good. No annoying guitar riffs, just great playing.

    E.B. and the Animals ROCKED!

by Pauleywally on 10/10/17South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

Eric Burden and the Animals really put on a good show. Eric has a voice that can still belt out those songs of his, and others, that we have come to love. His band of Animals consisted of six very accomplished artists who played; lead and bass guitar, keyboards, drums, saxophones and brass. Rockers old and young will love this show even if you never heard of Eric Burden and the Animals.

Still Rockin' After all these Years

by RockStar999 on 10/10/17South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

Eric hasn't lost a step! His voice was fantastic and he has a great band that obviously loves playing with Eric. Harrah's Tahoe was a perfect venue to see him as the acoustics were good and the room was small enough to feel part of the experience.

Still has that One-of-a-Kind Amazing Voice!

by SpookyUnit on 5/15/17Town Center Park Hamden Arts Summer Concert Series - Hamden

I have seen Eric Burdon perform in a couple of venues and he still sounds amazing. He engages the audience and plays all the hits, even adding some interesting covers.

    Don't Waste Your Money

by Showaday on 12/6/16Golden Nuggett - Las Vegas

Saw them in Las Vegas and paid a lot of money and was SOOOOOO disappointed. EricBurdon cannot sing anymore and the songs were unrecognizable. Of course he is old like all of us that love and remember this group in the 60's but truly he needs to give it up. The young band was the only reason we stayed for 45 minutes before I looked at my husband and said "We've gotta get out of this place".

Eric needs to pack it in

by FlyingLeap on 6/14/16The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

First of all, I respect Eric as an artist. He's a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer whose music influenced all those who came after. That said, I've been to hundreds of concerts over the years and this was possibly the worst concert that I've ever been to. The whole show sounded like bad Karaoke. His vocal range has severely diminished and I got the impression that he was tired of singing these songs. He sped through some songs, butchered others, incorporated cover song lyrics into his own songs (which didn't work). Some people must have liked the show because as he started to sing "House of the Rising Sun" dozens rushed the stage. But then again hundreds started to leave at this time too. It was just a bizarre night.

    Played the Old Standards-with Improvisation-Loudly

by HippieBornTooLate on 6/14/16The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

The opening act was Edgar Winters. He played a bunch of Blues Stuff-and, of Course-the Frankenstein Instrumental at the End. I felt like a Shwanshtooker for not bringing foam hearing protectors. I've HAD relatives who lost their hearing, and OTHER things tend to Follow, such as the MIND. Then, The Animals Came on. Eric Burdon started out with his War Collaboration Classic "Spill the Wine." He sang "Lying in a field of medical Mer-ee-juan-a. Edgar jammed with him onstage-I Think for that one. He went through "When I Was Young", "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" I THINK he played "Don't Bring Me Down" (getting Senile in my Fifties-lol) and Finished up with "Sky Pilot" "It's My Life" and the Immortal "We Gotta Get Outta This Place." As I was leaving, the played and Old Sam and Dave Soul song. There were Soul and Blues songs intersperseed throughout the Concert. Like I said, it was LOUD, perhaps to make up for the Old Guys losing their voices.

    Edgar Winter was awesome!

by jomaxdog on 6/14/16The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

Edgar Winter was the opening band and they killed it! Eric burden was OK only due to the fact that his band was good and he had so many hits way back when.

Disappointed, not as good as last visit to Casino

by Gonzies on 6/13/16Casino Rama Resort - Rama

My husband and I saw this show last year at the Casino and it was awesome!! We decided to go again and were disappointed. Eric and his band played few popular songs, focused on unrecognisable songs, other artists songs, etc. The last few songs of the set were the high lite and the encore. Last year no one left the concert early, this year a different story. On another point, not sure what the Casino has done to their auditorium seats, but are they uncomfortable!!

    Eric Burdon & the Animals

    by Al23 on 3/6/16The Paramount - Huntington

Great performance - very tight band - the musicians were amazing They played some wonderful blues sets along with their famous songs They even changed some of the arrangements on the popular songs and added more blues kick to them (even though many would prefer they play them as from the record) I thought this was a nice touch

    Eric Burden and the Animals

by mrnonickname on 2/10/16The Paramount - Huntington

I remember seeing Eric Burden and the Animals in the early 80's in Philadelphia. They brought down the house and was in the Spectrum. This show was in a tiny venue. The seats were good but not comfortable and way too close together. The opening act Randy Jackson was ok. The Animals were decent. Eric's voice could not be heard over the instruments at times. The guitarist, keyboardist, and percussionist were excellent. The drummer was also very good. It was worth seeing them again, why with so many rockers dying last month, you have to grab the shows when you can before something happens to them.

    The Sun Still Rises

    by Bobyank7 on 2/9/16The Paramount - Huntington

Eric Burdon and the Animals put on a truly fun and entertaining show. The band is excellent and its obvious that they've been playing together for awhile even though its not the "original" cast of characters. Eric was energetic and animated and while he may have lost a touch in his vocals, he was still dynamic. It was a real fun night.
