Eric Burdon is having trouble remembering lyrics, even his own band members names. His voice was a little shaky in the beginning, BUT his band helps him out. They really made the night...lead guitar, base, keyboard and horns were all great. It was my grandson’s first concert, he is 14 and loves classic rock. He had a really good time and so did we. Keep on rocking it Animals!
Eric's voice is still good and his band performs well. Great venue for a concert at Humphreys. Opening act was just so-so and couldn't capture the audience's attention. Band lead solo's could have been cranked up a notch as they seemed quiet for the open air.
How can this guy be 70+ years old and belt out House of The Rising Sun with no issues at all. Amazing show and he performed a collection of some of the greatest hits of all-time. Well worth the money. The band was also outstanding!
Eric Burdon and The New Animals really put on a great show. Keep it up boys.
Spilled the wine in Monterey when I was young because it’s my life and I’ll do what I want. Yep. Eric never disappoints! We saw him last year also.
The old pro still has the solid blues vocal chops that set him apart from the rest of the British invasion crowd in the 60’s. His six-man band was outstanding, but was not helped by the muddy sound mixing. The lead guitar especially suffered from the poor mix. All in all, it was still a very solid concert experience.
Eric sounded very good, seemed to hit all of his notes. I was really happy to hear him sing Spill the Wine, but was very disappointed he did not sing Sky Pilot.
Had so much fun! He is such a talented performer! Loved all his music growing up, brought so many memories and the venue is perfect with lots of free parking outside and next to the ocean! It couldn’t have been better
I've been to several of these revival type shows lately. Some are great, some not so much. I have to say I was impressed with Eric Burdon and the Animals, as well as Edgar Winter and his band. ALL of the musicians were incredible and the shows were very good. It was great to heard all the old hits again and at the best venue in San Diego, Humphrey's!
Seen Eric Burdon a number of timed, he never dissappints. He is my favorite since the Beginning. Cannot believe his voice!
It was freaking amazing. I would go all over again! Eric was awesome.The venue was intimate and accommodations were great!
Had to leave after the first few songs. I stayed at the Hotel and paid for ticket and found it was not worth the trip from Corona. We were very disappointed. I say, stick to the sound and music of the original recordings and don't change anything i.e. Frankie Valli still has a great following and still sounds like the original records! Why they change their original sound, don't get it. People remember the hits as they were not as they sound now.
Very cool... Eric's voice still rocks... just wish they wouldn't deviate from the classic songs.
Eric Burdon can still knock it out of the park. His voice is still incredible and has not changed.
I've attended probably 300 concerts but never seen Eric Burdon. Given his age, I was a bit hesitant to spend the time and money to attend but the man was fantastic. Halfway through the second of three songs he did during his encore Burdon began to look a bit winded but he rallied and finished the set flawlessly. His 6-piece band was also highly impressive with the two guys on horn particularly outstanding. Eric can't have many tours left in him so for those who are fans but haven't seen him, I recommend doing so now if you can. You won't be disappointed.
Eric Burdon has decades of experience in entertaining and he called on that to,perform. Sang some, but not enough, of the classics. Very rote performance.
Eric poured his heart and soul into it. Forever legendary and the band was great too.
Great show and he still has the voice. Edgar Winter was superb as well.
Best venue I've ever been to for a concert and I've lived in San Diego for 30 years. The music was outstanding and took me back to the 70's and 80's with all of their songs. Most drunken senior citizens I've ever seen in one place at one time ever.
Amazing show from a rock legend. He can still sing better than ever and has so many great songs! It was my first time seeing him and I will be sure to go again the next opportunity.
