Great show!!!! Rakim is still The Microphone God!!

Had a blast at the show. A fan of Classic Hip Hop I really enjoy artist when they come to the H.O.B. One of the few venues that can handle the bass in rap music. And Rakim put on a show.

Great mix of people there. Made me feel like I was back in high school.

It was a long drawn out show of watching and listening to just DJ's spinning music. If I truly wanted to listen to that for nearly 3 hours I could of stayed home. Eric B and Rakim didn't start until 11:15 and the doors opened at 8:30. Last time I was at St.Andrews was seeing Tech N9ne and everything was on time. I stayed for 3 songs seeing one of my favorite MC'S in Rakim because I had to work the next day. If it would of been a Saturday then we would of stayed. The one guy that tried to come out before the main act sucked so bad he didn't finish his set. Very disappointed all together.

Felt like I was back in the 80s listening to the cassette in my boom box. Unbelievable show! Bucket list checked off!

All of the acts were great and the crowd was 💯 loving it all!

Highly recommend! I’m definitely in there if it comes around again. I enjoyed myself from beginning to end. 3-4 hours of pure HH music, you won’t be disappointed

The show started on time! Everyone showed up and gave great performances. Really took me back to my childhood. Loved how all the performers interacted with the crowd and encouraged crowd participation. Can't wait for Volume 3!

Eric B. and Rakim were great. I took my grandson with me and he enjoyed seeing them perform.

Witnessed 2 of the legends of hip hop put on an amazing show at the intimate Varsity Theater on Thursday evening. Eric B. & Rakim performed their classics plus some deeper tracks. Unlike other hip hop performers, Eric B. & Rakim focus exclusively on the music and put on a no-frills show that displays their pure genius.

Great night! Front row, great atmosphere, listened to legends, all for $20!! Would def see Rakim again, and would recommend The Varsity!

Eric B performed effortlessly and Rakims performance was everything I ever anticipated and more. He was not only an enjoyable rhymesayer but he was funny and entertaining and showed the utmost respect to the women of the audience... As well seeing his son perform and special guest YoYo was such a pleasure they all still have what makes up true hip hop I was honored to be in their presence. Seeing Philando Castiles mother on stage and taking a moment to remember and reflect was honorous. And the Painter who painted throughout the performance was incredible to watch. Thank you for this performance. My only criticism was that the bass overpowered the performance and the voices of the performer's. Keep bringing amazing performers in for us to see.

It was a true relief to hear some TRUE HIP-HOP!! Rakim is the GREATEST MC in the game TO ME STILL!!. 90 minutes or real HIP-HOP by the greatest rapper of all time!!

The GOD MC killed it!!! YoYo rocked it!! Eric B & Rakim was amazing! This is how a HIP HOP SHOW should be. The energy these legends gave on tilt. The House of Blues is by far the best place to watch a show. Anywhere you sit or stand is great.

Eric B and Rakim still deliver that high energy rap show even after almost 30 years!!!! A must see....

The whole vibe and the crowd that came out for this show was everything. There was such great energy in that room - like unparalleled. Erc B. & Rakim were so strong - like it was 1986 .Loved every minute of it.

I had the best time ever! I never thought that I would get to see them live. Dreams come true!!
